Slam Dunk to
the Beach -- 1998
The annual Slam Dunk to the Beach national high school boys' basketball tournament is the premier high school basketball tournament in the United States with some of the nation's top-ranked teams and 85 high school All-Americans invading Cape Henlopen High School's gymnasium in Lewes, Delaware for a week after Christmas.
The 1998 field featured 39 teams from 13 states in 44 games and was witnessed by 50,000 fans from Dec. 26-30. For more details on the 1998 event, including scores and coverage of local Sussex County teams in the tournament, follow the links below.
