I.R. Girls Drop Pair in Mardela

The Indian River High School girls' basketball team fell to 0-7 overall with a pair of losses at the Mardela Christmas Tournament Dec. 29-30, 1998.
On Tuesday, Dec. 29, IR was crushed by Bishop Eustace of New Jersey 82-19. The Indians trailed 29-1 after the first quarter and 47-7 at halftime.
Lisa Beckett led IR with five points.
In Wednesday's consolation game, the Indians fell to host Mardela 56-23. No IR player scored more than four points.
