The Cape Henlopen High School football team dropped its season opener at St. Mark's, 7-6, on Friday, Sept. 11. The Vikings pulled within 7-6 in the second quarter at Baynard Stadium in Wilmington by converting a blocked punt into a touchdown. Elijah Worthy scored the touchdown on a 1-yard run but the extra point kick was blocked. Worthy finished with 75 yards on 18 carries. St. Mark's took a 7-0 lead with a 66-yard drive on its first possession of the game. Brought to you by: |
