The Cape Henlopen High School football team took out the frustration of a close season-opening loss on visiting Milford with a 54-0 rout on Friday, Sept. 18. The Vikings (1-1) scored 27 points in the first quarter behind the running of Elijah Worthy, who finished with 177 yards and 3 touchdowns on only 8 carries. His TDs, all in the first period, came on runs of 84, 5 and 41 yards. Quarterback John Howard completed only 2 passes for 52 yards, but both completions were for touchdowns to Tom Sheehan of 7 and 45 yards. Brought to you by: |
