Jack explains to Brad about Brooke Logan's idea of having Jabot develop a signature fragrance for the Forrester line of bedroom accessories. Sharon hangs up before Cassie can say anything in response to Alice's question and tells her daughter that she could upset Millie by talking with her. Cassie is thrilled when Nick arrives. He surprises her with a charm bracelet and after she kisses him, Nick turns to Sharon and kisses her. Grace realizes that she can't afford to get into any legal trouble and decides to pay Alice a visit.

Tony visits Sharon and learns that Nick called to say he would be stopping by later to see his son and Cassie. Sharon then takes Tony to the stable to see the new foal. Nick and Grace have words in the office as they argue about her failed relationship with Tony. Grace reminds him that Sharon wouldn't have Cassie if it wasn't for her. Nick counters her boastful claim with a reminder that she also broke up the only real family Cassie has ever had. Alice calls Grace who states that she never met Alice's mother. When Cassie calls Millie to wish her a Merry Christmas, Alice answers the phone. Jim sees Ruth staring at Paul in the diner. He notices that Paul is with his mother and then flashes back to a memory of his days with his young son.

Victoria calls Neil to come by the ranch. Before he does so, he stops by to see Olivia who advises him that it's normal to be confused because of the situation he's in. Nick confides to Cole that he' not certain what to do where his marriage and Sharon are concerned. Victoria tells her brother that she has decided to move in with Neil and plans to tell him today. Nick's pleased to hear that Sharon called the ranch to thank him for the Christmas presents. He decides it might be a wise move to drop by so Cassie can thank him for the presents herself. Malcolm stops by Gina's place to look for his son's lost gloves and is surprised to see that Callie is still there. Admitting that she wasn't sure how to say goodbye, she thanks him for being a good friend, kisses him and admits that she'll be there only a short time longer.

Michael warns Grace that her friend who took the adopted child better get her things in order because she's going to jail. When he sees the worried look on her face, he breaks into a smile and admits he was just joking but does state that her friend should seek legal advice. After singing a Christmas song, Gina urges Callie to say a final goodbye before she leaves. Over Christmas dinner with Mary, Chris and Paul, Charlie makes a toast and mentions his "good friend" Carl Williams as he does so. Paul urges everyone to look to the future especially since his mother has found someone. Mary shows them the Christmas card she received from her only daughter Patty and points out that there was no return address on the envelope.

Victor announces to his children that he is stepping down from the company for a while. Victoria is outraged by his decision and calls it a huge mistake. She also suggests that he should have talked with them before making the decision. Paul and Chris arrive at Mary's house and are surprised to learn that she has accepted Charlie's marriage proposal. Jim decides to make reservations for a flight to Genoa City. Phillip is pleased to have his father with him for Christmas. Meanwhile, Tricia complains to Megan about being alone on Christmas Eve and hints that she might have to play Nina's game by getting pregnant. Calling her the worst influence a girl could have, Sharon orders Grace to stay away from Cassie.

Tony walks away from Grace when she tries to talk to him about Cassie. Sharon brings her daughter to the coffeehouse and when she leaves to get some hot chocolate for the two of them, Cassie spots Grace and runs to give her a hug. Cassie comments that her best Christmas ever was with Grace and Tony. In tears, Paul can't stop thinking about his father. Mary stops by to remind Chris and Paul to come by for Christmas Eve dinner. Jim decides that he should go to Genoa City to see if the surroundings might trigger his memory. Ruth begs him not to go. Victor tells Nikki that he has decided to hand over the company to Jack and Brad for the time being. Guessing that he's been forced to do so because of his divorce, Nikki decides to pay Diane a little visit.

John questions Beatrice about the money she claims Jill gave her. Beatrice states that there were 50 one hundred dollar bills. When he asks for proof, Beatrice pulls out the photocopy she made of the check Jill originally gave her. Alice confronts Grace about her daughter and claims to love the little girl deeply. When she asks her where Sharon is, Grace plays dumb. Before leaving, Alice once again leaves her phone number. Megan invites Tony to spend Christmas with her and her father but he graciously turns her down. Megan then gives Tony a pair of biker's gloves for Christmas and suggests that he take her for a ride on his motorcycle some day soon.

Kay takes the stand and explains that she gave her husband half of her estate out of love. She adds that she never wanted to live alone. Michael then recalls Beatrice to the stand and forces her to admit that she was offered, promised and then given money before this case began. Jill quickly stands and shouts out her outrage. Mary thrills Charlie when she accepts his marriage proposal. Jim tells Paul that he doesn't remember catching the baseball at Wrigley Field and tossing it to him. Paul cries and pleads with him to remember that he loves him but Jim claims he is in his home and Paul must leave. Paul hugs him and starts to leave as Jim tells him that he is sorry. Ryan leaks to Victoria that Grace is working side-by-side with Brad.

Paul and Chris stop by Mary's house and secretly pick up Carl's fishing hat and a special baseball to show him in Virginia. After explaining to Chris how much he cares about Mary, Charlie eyes an engagement ring he's hiding from Mary. Phyllis pays Victor a visit and mentions her chat with Brad. He asks her not to waste his time with such useless information and urges her to get him something about Michael. Meanwhile, a smug Brad and Jack talk about taking over "the palace" and imagine how great they will feel at the top. Phyllis joins Jack for a drink later. Chris calls Jim and explains that she and Paul want to see him one more time and assures him that they won't stay long.

After their chat, Grace writes down Alice's phone number. Cole reveals to Nick that he saw Tony paying Sharon a visit earlier. Grace stops by to tell Nick about the call from Alice and he asks her why she hasn't married Tony yet. When he pushes her to work her magic on the guy, she tells him to "go to hell." Michael discovers that Jill is secretly talking with Beatrice. He gets his chance to meet with Beatrice after Jill leaves and warns the woman that Jill's not the kind of person to do anyone a favor. On the stand, Michael asks Beatrice if there was a document she failed to discuss in the deposition. Chris suggests to Paul that they take some memories to his father to see if that might help.

Grace complains to Michael about the way she's being treated at Newman Enterprises. Alice calls Genoa City and finally gets Grace's phone number. She then calls the number and states that she is looking for Sharon. Tony spots Ryan and decides to leave the coffee shop. Ryan sits down with Megan who confirms that things are heating up between her and Tony. Ryan urges her not to forget how special she is. Sharon confides to an encouraging Cole that even if she manages to work things out with Nick; nothing will be the same. He mentions that Nick is desperate to straighten things out. Tony stops by next to visit with Cassie. Brad asks Ashley what's really going on with her and her sudden trip to Europe. Seeing her eyeing Brad, Gina remarks to Phyllis that he is out of her league.

Grace's mother reveals to Alice that her daughter was last headed for Genoa City. Tony interrupts the argument between Megan and Grace and, after making a few snide remarks to the woman he was going to marry, invites Megan to the dance floor with him. Grace storms out while Tony explains what happened in their relationship over the past few months. He then surprises Megan with a passionate kiss. Ashley announces to Victor that she's going to be flying to Europe on business for awhile. Brad hears this and decides to make a phone call to check up on her and wonders just who she is going to meet. Victor reminds Brad that he is to keep his eye on Jack. when Brad hesitantly mentions a relationship with Diane, Victor gives his blessing should anything develop.

Alice explains to her boyfriend that her money will come in once she gets her baby back. She'll blackmail whoever took her daughter so that she won't press charges. Meanwhile, Doris arrives at Alice's door. Phyllis spots Cole dining with Diane. Diane tells Cole to give Victor her regards. A jealous Phyllis confronts Diane and boasts that she and Michael understand each other like no one else can. She insists that he cannot be happy unless Michael is with her. At the coffeehouse Megan asks Ryan if he knows why Grace and Tony broke up. Confronting Grace, Megan accuses her of having everything and throwing it all away. Grace counters that Megan will have her own problems once she grows up.

Victoria apologizes to Victor for her rudeness earlier and explains to her father that she and Cole are just two parents trying to console each other after the death of their child. Malcolm surprises Olivia with a kiss and mentions that he had a talk with Chris who has agreed to handle Callie's problem. When Neil asks Olivia for advice, she assures him that Victoria's closeness to Cole is normal. She suggests that he let Victoria know that he's there for her but urges him to be patient. Ryan overhears Phillip explain that he wants to be part of a family with him and Nina for the holidays. Ryan agrees to see what he can do. He then blames Nina for Ryan's inability to like Tricia.

When Callie'ss manager Trey confronts his client at Gina's, a protective Gina warns him to behave. He hands Callie's a contract specifying that she is to open for Aretha Franklin and boasts that he promised that he would make her dreams come true. Malcolm talks with Chris about Callie's legal troubles and she agrees to talk with Trey. Jill is upset when she's unable to reach Beatrice on the phone. Michael guesses she said something which upset the woman. When he asks her if she gave Beatrice anything of value in exchange for her testimony, Jill lies and states that she did not. A hopeful Nikki confides to victor that Cole has been a great help to their daughter. When Victor urges Victoria not to rely too much on Cole, she tells him it's none of his business.

Kay takes the stand with much enthusiasm as John labels her a hostile witness. She's asked about the property that she gave to her husband. Kay states that she and Phillip were in love and never imagined that she would have to give it to his lover. Claiming that she never signed any papers that she can remember, Kay states that drunNc or sober, she would never have allowed her property to be given over to Phillip's girlfriend. Jill is next on the stand and as she sits, Kay yells at her from her seat. Victoria insists to her mother that Nikki can't help her. She adds that she must go through this by herself. After Nikki assures her daughter that everything is going to worNc out, Cole stops by to comfort Victoria.

In court John brings a handwriting expert to the stand to verify the document that gives Jill custody of the estate. while the expert verifies Phillip's signature, Michael is next and shows that there is a chance that the document is forged. In the hallway when Beatrice hints that she needs more money, Jill warns her witness that her hands are tied at this time and she can't help her until this case is decided. When Beatrice is called to the stand, she fails to show. Alice calls one of Sharon's ex- classmates who suggests that Alice talk with a woman named Grace Turner. In the restaurant, Brad tries to cheer up Grace and suggests that everyone makes mistakes. Sharon dines out with her mother and mentions that she is considering moving out of the ranch.

After pocketing the pearls form the safe, Kay talks with Michael about the possibility that she will never live int the estate again. He urges her to have faith in the justice system. As the prepare to leave, they are confromted at the front door by an angry Jill who orders Kay to get off her property. Kay demands that the deputy do his job and throw Jill out but Michael pushes Kay to leave. Upset to hear he was with Nina again, Tricia is caught off gaurd when Ryan admits that he intends to convince his son to come to Aspen with them on the holiday ski trip. Meil escorts Victoria out of the hospital and brings her to the ranch after she asks him how he would feel if she stayed at the ranch until she was better.

John's upset when he discovers that Jill went to Kay's house. Michael warns Kay to be calm and collected in court. Unable to control herself when the case starts, Kay immediately starts complaining and is fined a hundred dollars. When Jill laughs at what has happened, she is fined double the amount and both are warned about further outbursts. Looking at Christmas decorations, Sharon remembers Noah's first Christmas. At the coffeehouse Tony talks with Megan until they are interrupted by Sharon who asks for Tony's help. She wonders aloud to Tony why Nick couldn't have fired Grace to get her out of Newman completely. When Nick suggests to his mother that she stop offering advice to Sharon, he tells her that while he appreciates her concern, he doesn't need any more pressure on his troubled marriage and hints that she could ruin the one chance he has to get back together with Sharon.

An angry Sharon blasts Grace for betraying their trust and asks if she's happy now that she has destroyed her life and Cassie's too. An upset Nick asks Grace why she is there and orders her to stay away from him, insisting that he could not care less where she works. At Gina's Kay boasts to Esther that she is going to break into her home tonight. Esther calls Michael who offers to help. He convinces a judge to allow Kay some access with an escort by a deputy sheriff. In the mansion, Kay marvels at the memories from a string of pearls that Phillip gave her. Jill's upset when John lets her know that Kay was given permission to enter the estate. Ashley helps support Cole and agrees that he too has suffered a terrible loss with the death of Victoria's baby.
