Nikkie suggests to Sharon that she make an appointment with a counselor to save her marriage. Sharon claims that she needs time before she can decide what to do. Finding and returning his gloves, Sharon advises Nick that having a wife, two kids and a job might be too much for him. He pleads with her to believe that he loves only her and asks her again to forgive him. Victor announces to Jack and Brad that he's considering stepping down for a while but is not sure he can trust the two of them. Grace calls Michael to complain about the way she is being treated at Newman Enterprises. He urges her not to let them get to her. Jack compliments Grace on her work abilities and asks her to give him her word that she won't go near Nick.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, "The Young and the Restless" will not air on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. With her tape recorder secretly recording everything they're saying, victor assures Grace that he's going to push her to her potential so that she doesn't have any idle time on her hands. He calls her an ambitious woman who should get everything she deserves. Michael later listens to the tape she made and disappoints her with his explanation that nothing on the tape will help her harassment case. He urges her to go back and show them that she can do her job. When she offers to listen to his problems, Tony confides to Megan his feeling that she doesn't really know him.

Brad and Jack argue in Jack's office, unaware that Victor has stopped outside to listen. However, before he can figure out their scheme, Grace interrupts them which allows them to realize Victor's present. Victor confides to Brad that he's getting more and more convinced that he cannot trust Jack anymore. Grace turns on her tape recorder before meeting with Victor. Cassie confides to her mother that she's afraid now that she heard Victoria's baby died. Promising that she won't allow any harm to come to her, Sharon reminds her that her brother almost died but is now very healthy. Alice learns that there is no record of Sharon Collins graduating in 1992 and demands that the records be checked more closely. Memorial service, Ryan mentions to Nina that he still feels connected to her and hopes they can remain friends. She agrees and the two kiss.

Michael explains to Grace that Jack obviously realizes she's got a good sexual harassment case if she's fired and that explains why she was transferred at Newman. He gives her a tape recorder to use to protect herself. Victor confides to Brad that he doesn't trust Jack and asks him to keep an eye on the guy. Sharon attends the memorial service. Brad boasts to Jack that their plan can move forward now that Victor has hired him. Jack urges him not to do anything suspicious but to just listen and learn.

Neil explains to Malcolm that Cole was there for Victoria when she needed someone. Ashley calls Cole from New York and when he talks with her, he fails to mention that he's with Victoria. Neil brings flowers to Victoria which causes Cole to leave. Before he does so, Cole explains that he's going to make the memorial arrangements for their baby. Olivia asks Callie who she thinks of when she's singing. Trey calls Callie to report that Malcolm was there earlier. He repeats that if she wants her contract, she'll have to come to his office personally. Spending more time together, Jack gets closer to Phyllis. Charlie takes Mary to dinner at Gina's where she accidentally calls him Carl. Jim doesn't recognize Paul as his son.

When Chris leaves her hotel room to confront Ruth again, Paul secretly follows her. Chris announces to Jim and Ruth that Carl Williams has a family but then sees in his face that the man has no memory of who he really is. Rushing through the front door to confront his wife, Paul is shocked to come face-to-face with his father. Jill explains to John that she doesn't want Michael to get his hands on Beatrice's notes. When Michael questions Beatrice about what she said when she met with Jill, Beatrice claims that she and Jill talked about the old days when Kay would drink.

Hearing back from the credit card company, Paul discovers that Chris is in Norfolk, Virginia, not New York. He suspects she might be meeting Danny and asks Lynne to check on where Danny may be. Paul demands some answers from Nina about Chris but Nina assures him that Chris loves only him. Jim eavesdrops on Ruth's conversation with Chris and interrupts to warn Chris that he doesn't like how she is badgering Ruth. Staring at him, Chris asks him for some form of identification to prove who he is. He admits he has none. Nina calls Chris to warn her that Paul knows where she is. She urges her to call Paul but Chris claims she must make one more visit first. Callie calls Trey and asks for a copy of her contract.

Upset to see Brad with Diane again, Jack calls him on his cell phone but Brad claims he's in an important meeting. Jack then walks over to the table and claims to be too busy at work to join them. Back at the office, Jack finds Jill waiting for him and complains when she again talks about the Chancellor estate. He suggests that she "get a life, a lover or a pet" but do anything and stop bothering him. When she mentions the hiring of Brad, Jack claims to be dumbfounded. Paul asks Nina if she knows where Chris might be. When she tries to evade the truth, Paul guesses that she knows more than she is telling him. Malcolm talks with Paul about Callie's contract with Trey. Paul urges Malcolm to watch his back.

Thanks to Cole, Victoria is happy to see her baby. Cole offers to make the arrangements for the child to be baptized. Later, the doctor informs Cole that they have done all they can do but the baby is too weak. Neil sits with Victoria and listens as she talks about her wonderful little girl. Cole walks in and by the look on his face, she can tell that their daughter has died. Victoria cries and thanks Cole for being with their daughter at the end. Victor announces to Jack that Brad is back on the payroll. Jack acts very upset and states that Brad is not his equal but later tells himself that Victor has taken the bait. He then goes to Gina's to meet with Nikki.

At the hospital Victoria sheepishly admits to Cole that she deliberately didn't use birth control the night they made love because she was afraid of losing him. Nick reveals to Jack that he fired Grace but Jack warns him that he must have reason to fire her or face a lawsuit. Promising to handle Grace, Jack then tells Nick that Victoria is in the hospital. Jack finds Grace and assures her that she hasn't been fired but has been transferred. He also hints that it would not be a good idea to go after the Newman family by airing her dirty laundry in public. Victoria's pleased when Nick arrives. The nurse informs her that she must remain in bed for the time being to prevent any infection.

After Tony storms out, Grace runs to Michael and reveals that her boyfriend found out about her affair with Nick and has left her. Michael advises her to bury herself in her work until she can think clearly. However, when she arrives at her office, she discovers that her office has been cleaned out. Meanwhile, Tony confides to Sharon that he confronted Grace about her affair with Nick. When Cassie interrupts and asks when he's going to marry Grace, Tony tells the girl that he and Grace will never be married. Finding out that the hearing is scheduled for next week, Jill boasts to Jack that he's looking at the new owner of the Chancellor Estate though he guesses she's got a tough battle on her hands before anything is decided.

When Tony asks her about Nick; Grace finds it hard to lie to him about the affair. Charlie announces to Mary that he wants them to do something special on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. When she reluctantly asks what he's got planned, he takes out a jewelry box. Before she can answer, Paul and Chris arrive much to Mary's relief. Mary sheepishly admits that she asked her son and daughter-in-law over because she feared he was going to ask for her hand. Charlie shows her the cuff links in the box and Mary's embarrassed when he reveals he simply wanted to ask her to a dance that night. Brad introduces himself to Michael at Gina's and reveals that he's a friend of Diane's. Later, Brad asks victor if he's decided whether he's going to hire him or not.

Sharon reveals to Nick that she overheard Grace telling him how wonderful it was to make love to him in Denver. He admits that he did have sex with Grace but denies that love had anything to do with it. He calls it a big mistake and assures Sharon that he loves only her. Nick pleads with his wife to forgive him but she orders him never to touch her again and claims that she can never trust him. Grace explains to Michael about her affair with Nick and pouts that he is still in love with his wife. Hearing this, Michael advises her that she has lost. Grace returns home and tells Tony that she wants to get married now. He rocks her when he asks if something happened between her and Nick.

Michael questions Kay about Beatrice, her ex-employee. Kay's embarrassed when she admits that she is an alcoholic and doesn't remember much from back then. Jill talks with Jack about Ray's house and her plans for the place. When John walks in and hears them talking, he warns them not to make waves as far as the case is concerned. Calling Jill, Ray boasts that she's hired a new lawyer and his name is Michael Baldwin. Jack hears this and is amused by the news. Back at home, Nick is worried when Sharon gives him the cold shoulder. Cassie welcomes Nick home with a big kiss. Once Cassie is out of the room, Sharon finally announces that she knows what happened between him and Grace in Denver. Megan talks with Tony at the coffeehouse.

Chris guesses to Nina that Ruth is stonewalling her. Paul confides in Chris his mothers concern that Charlie is going to propose to her tonight. When she claims to have to go back to Virginia to finish up her case, Paul offers to go with her to see if he can help speed things up. Nick calls Sharon to report that he misses her and is on his way home. She pays little attention to what he has to say. Sharon explains to Tony that she is sure of what she overheard in Colorado and warns that he can never trust Grace again. She claims that Grace will break his heart if he allows her to. Nick finally returns home. Jack warns Brad not to do anything to hurt his sister and reminds him that she is a married woman.

Victoria suffers from a nightmare in which She takes her baby from Neil, boasting that he is the father. Neil calls Cole about Victoria's pains. Cole heads to the hospital where ho tries to reassure his ex-wife that she will not lose the baby. Cole makes Victoria promise that if anything like this happens again that she will tell him. He then wonders if he really is the father of her baby. Paul questions Nina about Chris' recent mysterious activities and asks her if Chris really is tryin to start a family like she told him.

Olivia stuns Victor with the news that his daughter's in the hospital. When he arrives, Victoria apologizes to her father for not letting him know. She clears Neil by admitting that she asked Neil not to tell him even though Neil pushed her to do so. Later, Victor thanks Neil for looking out for his daughter. Neil is troubled when he dreams of Victoria calling out Cole's name. Malcolm watches Callie sing at Gina's. She asks him afterwards for help getting an attorney who will end her contract. Mary nervously confides to Lynne and Paul that she feels Charlie's about to pop the question. She invites them over dinner tomorrow night so that he won't have the opportunity. Paul tells her that sooner or later, she has to make a decision.

Chris arrives at Ruth's house but finds no one is home. She returns to the airport to ask more questions and then goes back to the house where Ruth mistakenly opens the door, thinking she's from her church. Chris reveals herself to Ruth as the person she called from Wisconsin. Talking about Callie, Malcolm assures Neil that he loves his wife. Olivia advises Neil to reassure a hospitalized Victoria about her pregnancy. As he does so, Neil suggests that she call Cole Jack explains to Victor that at the conference there were many people concerned about the state of the company due to his lack of leadership lately. He suggests that Victor step aside for the time being and allow him to take over for the good of the company.

Nick tells his secretary to let Sharon know that he will be home tomorrow. Nikki announces to Sharon that she cannot stand by while her marriage to Nick falls apart. Sharon reacts with the comment that there are some things that can't be worked out. Nick worries to Grace that Sharon may have found out somehow that they slept together. Neil warns Victoria that her parents need to know that she is in the hospital. Later, Victor confronts Neil and asks him if he might know where his daughter is. Victoria finally calls and lies to her father that she is away on business. Olivia asks Malcolm why he keeps the lucky charm Callie gave him years ago if he's truly over his feelings for her.
