Wednesday, June 30, 1999 Maria hands Tess an airline ticket to Seattle and announces that they're both going back to see if anything triggers her memory about Benjy. Ricardo entreats Gabi to come home with him so they can work through their difficulties. Back in Sunset Beach, a bristling Antonio confronts his mother with fire in his eyes. A panicked Amy deliberately spills the glass of orange juice when Emily reaches for Sean's doctored drink Facing Antonio's wrath, Carmen defiantly insists she would blackmail Gabi all over again if it would permanently remove the lying whore from her sons lives. Ben convinces Maria to let Tess remain behind with Benjy instead of accompanying her to Seattle. Casey and Sara remind a guilt-stricken Meg that Benjy's kidnaping was not her fault. Tuesday, June 29, 1999Standing in the nursery, Olivia promises a grateful Caitlin she will never try to destroy the bond which has been forged between her daughter and Trey. Angry to think Bette is implying that he's as disturbed as his father was, Sean accuses her of trying to break him and Emily apart. Gabi tells an anguished Antonio that his mother has not only seen the videotape of them making love but used it to blackmail her into leaving Ricardo at the altar. Vowing to put things right for his brother and the woman he loves, Antonio assures Gabi he'll deal with Carmen and ensure that the video never surfaces again. Ignoring Brad's skepticism, Amy eagerly anticipates winning Sean's heart the minute she employs Mrs. Moreau's powerful love potion. Olivia and Caitlin bury the hatchet and pledge to put the past behind them. Monday, June 28, 1999Unnerved to see Ricardo suddenly appear in Blanco, Gabi begs Antonio to help her escape. Mrs. Moreau furiously orders Amy never to darken her door again. Still struggling with his conflicted feelings about his father, Sean jots down his thoughts in the journal Emily gave him. As Annie eagerly makes plans to cash in on her "late" husband's estate, Caitlin awakens shivering from a dream about her dad. Meanwhile, Gregory crawls out of the sea and pulls himself up onto the rocks. An incensed Olivia again rips into Annie for her heartless attempt to make hay out of the Richards family's suffering. Amy tearfully explains to an exasperated Brad why she so desperately needs Sean in her life. Later, Mrs. Moreau has a change of heart and sells Amy the love potion but warns the girl that the results could be fatal if she misuses the powerful concoction. Wednesday, June 23, 1999Ricardo reluctantly informs the Richards that Gregory's body has probably washed out to sea. When Antonio confides his plan to bring Gabi back to Sunset Beach to be reunited with Ricardo, Maria reminds her brother that he'll still have to resolve his own feelings for the woman he loves. Hank and Joan give Sara their blessing to move in with Casey. Meanwhile, Tim describes for Tess his scheme to throw Meg and Casey into one another's arms, leaving the field clear for Maria and Ben to be permanently reconciled. Meg tells Ben she can't work for him anymore now that their personal relationship seems to be on the rocks. Gabi decides to leave the El Paso area and move on to some new town where nobody knows her. Carmen reaches out to Ricardo in an effort to heal the breach which has opened up between mother and son. Tuesday, June 22, 1999Relieved to see Cole emerge unharmed from the water, Caitlin waits anxiously with the others as Michael continues to dive in search of Gregory. Meanwhile, Olivia admits to Bette she can understand why her daughter was trying to protect Trey but vows never to forgive Gregory for his crimes. As Ricardo finally calls off the search, Sean and a weeping Caitlin realize their father must be dead. Sara presses Casey to prove the depth of his feelings, then is thrilled when he presents her with the key to Surf Central and asks her to move in. When Maria demands to know why she vanished following Benjy's "kidnapping", Tess claims she was only trying to give the boy and his parents some space and quality time together as a family. Later, Tess shows Tim the promissory note and they discuss how best to reunite Ben and Maria so they can collect their million dollar reward. Monday, June 21, 1999Spence tells Antonio that Gabi was issued a parking ticket near El Paso. As the crowds on the beach look on in horror, Cole and Gregory plummet from the top of the lifeguard tower and into the waves below. At South Bay, Casey shows Sara how he spends the "Day of Compassion" rocking the AIDS babies in the hospital's nursery. While Sean and Caitlin cling to one another for support, Michael and Ricardo launch a rescue effort to search for Gregory and Cole. Gabi is hurt to overhear Kelly and another old classmate snickering about what a loser she is. Sensing that Antonio is secretly searching for Gabi, Carmen hisses at her son to leave the whore alone. Though Brad repeatedly advises her to give up on Sean, Amy pins her hopes on the love potion she's sure Mrs. Moreau can provide. Friday, June 18, 1999Lonely for Gabi, Antonio and Ricardo separately decide to do whatever they must to find her and bring her home. Sensing that Caitlin managed to tip Cole off during her phone call, Gregory furiously informs his daughter that he's leaving her behind while he takes off with Trey. Meanwhile, Cole discovers a stowaway in his back seat as he drives furiously towards the grotto. Sean decides to try to use a satellite tracking system to locate his father's car. In El Paso, a tearful Gabi visits her mother's grave and mulls over the mess her life has become. Haunted by a vision of a vengeful Carmen, Gabi sadly realizes that she can never go back to Sunset Beach. As Olivia fears the worst, Bette promises her fretful friend that her missing children will soon be home safe and sound. Thursday, June 17, 1999Bette and A.J. try to calm Olivia as she frets over the fact that two of her children have fallen into the hands of a murderer. Meanwhile, Caitlin phones Cole and informs her distraught husband that he will never see her or Trey again. Worried that Emily will snag all the kudos for Gregory's capture, Amy decides not to disclose to Sean and the others the clue she's stumbled across. Vanessa and Michael return home from their vacation at the spa. Amy tries to persuade Brad to help her search the grotto but he scoffs at her theory that Gregory is holding Caitlin captive there. Caitlin manages to drop Cole a subtle hint to her location before Gregory forces her to hang up the phone. Amy is intrigued to learn of Mrs. Moreau's existence and of the witch woman's claims to have developed a foolproof love potion. Wednesday, June 16, 1999Sara has another disturbing daydream about getting pushed out of the picture when Meg finally claims Casey's heart. Tess uses her feminine wiles on Tim to prevent him from squealing on her. Following another upsetting encounter with Benjy, Meg tearfully informs Ben she can't bear to spend another night under the same roof with him and his son. Sara suggests to Casey that they try living together at Surf Central. After making love, Tess and Tim discuss the nanny's scheme and eagerly begin to embellish on the plot. Worried about his sister, Sean decides to try to track Caitlin through his computer. Meanwhile, in the grotto, Caitlin nervously attempts to convince her father to let her call Cole and bid him farewell forever. Meg's return to Surf Central puts another crimp in her sister's plans. Tuesday, June 15, 1999In the grotto Gregory denies it when Caitlin accuses him of running away from his life in Sunset Beach. When she presses him on it, Gregory reminisces about dancing with Olivia on the balcony outside their bedroom every night until they had their first child. She finally puts it together that Gregory killed Francesca and he confirms it, claiming that she was going to steal Trey. A panicked Caitlin tries to take Gregory's cell phone. Cole and Annie arrive at the Richards' house and discover that Gregory is gone and Olivia dead. Ricardo walks in as Cole looks at Olivia. He tries to explain to the police detective about Gregory murdering Francesca but Ricardo doesn't believe him. Suddenly, Olivia comes to and reveals her altercation with Gregory. Cole worries when he still can't find Caitlin. Monday, June 14, 1999A.J. fears for his son's safety after finding Cole's wallet at an apparent crime scene. Meanwhile, Cole and Annie try to make Spence understand that Gregory confessed to Francesca's murder during their confrontation at the power plant. Tess admits to Tim how she came to Sunset Beach under false pretenses, then claims that Maria gave her a promissory note for one million dollars of Ben's money if the nanny broke him and Meg apart. A.J. explains to Ricardo and Bette how he and Olivia came to believe that Francesca was still alive. At the Richards' house, Olivia bars the door to prevent Gregory and Caitlin from absconding with Trey. Casey assures Sara she doesn't have to feel insecure about his commitment to her as long as she remains open and honest with him. Tess tells an astonished Tim she arranged Benjy's kidnapping to make Meg appear negligent. Friday, June 11, 1999Certain her plan is finally about to bear fruit, Tess is shaken when Tim informs her he saw her chatting with the "kidnapper". Petrified to think that Meg's split from Ben will spell doom for her own relationship with Casey, Sara urges her sister to do whatever is necessary to repair the rift in her romance. Bette fails A.J. to the power plant, where she pesters him to explain all the skullduggery which seems to be taking place that night. Cole and Gregory wrestle for the gun as Annie nervously wrings her hands on the sidelines. Olivia and Caitlin have another set-to about custody of Trey and finally begin to arrive at a mutually acceptable compromise. Annie attempts to smack Gregory in the head but accidentally knock Cole out instead. Gregory advances on Annie and begins to throttle her, but the sound of an approaching police siren sends him fleeing from the scene instead. Tuesday, June 8, 1999A gun-toting Gregory meets up with Francesca outside the power plant. Tim remarks to a nervous Tess how strange it seems that nobody but her saw the kidnappers accomplice sneaking up on Casey. Tired of Benjy's bad attitude, Meg tearfully tells Ben she's leaving---for good this time. Olivia is startled to encounter A.J. at the power plant. Noting Benjy's strong antipathy towards Meg, Ricardo and Antonio question their sister about her uncomfortable living arrangements. Gregory tells Francesca that since she neglected to die the first time he shot her, he'll just have to do the job right this time around. Meg explains to Ben why she resents the way his son's presence has altered their lives. Olivia swears to A.J. that she didn't shoot Francesca but only agreed to meet the "ghost" in order to protect Caitlin. Wednesday, June 2, 1999A distraught Maria snatches the phone away from Ben and screams at the kidnapper to return her son. Bette encourages Caitlin to extend a little forgiveness towards her mother but the young woman bitterly recalls how Olivia betrayed her with Cole. The kidnapper orders Ben to collect forty thousand dollars in small bills and wait for further instructions. Michael finally manages to give the gung-ho personal trainer the heave-ho, then turns his attention back to an eager Vanessa. Though Maria wants to call in Ricardo, Tess reminds Benjy's anxious parents that notifying the authorities could get their son killed. Amy is intrigued to hear Emily express a concern that Gregory dislikes her. Olivia tells A.J. she's certain Gregory has set them up to believe that Francesca has risen from the grave.
