    Desperate to feel close to her son, Maria again entreats Carmen to tell her how she can regain her memory. In the grotto, Annie struggles to escape from Cole but he tightens his grip on his prisoner. Vanessa is unpleasantly surprised to find Mrs. Moreau on her doorstep. Tess catches Meg snooping through her room. startled when Ricardo suddenly enters the room, Gabi moves to steer him away from the video monitor while Antonio hastily turns off the tape. Explaining how she wants to make up for everything she's done, Mrs. Moreau offers Vanessa a potion guaranteed to ensure that Michael will love her forever. Meg admits to Ben that she was spying on Tess, then apologizes to the nanny for invading her privacy. Carmen finally relents and gives her daughter Mrs. Moreau's name but reminds her to beware of the powerful black magic.

    Annie pushes Cole to turn himself in for Francesca's murder. At the jail, Caitlin admits to an astounded Sean that she took the gun to protect her husband from prosecution. Antonio catches his brother trying to sneak out of the hospital and insists that Ricardo return to his bed. Denying that he had any part in the murder, Cole points out to Annie that she had just as much motive and opportunity for the crime as anyone else in Sunset Beach. Gabi swipes the list of Francesca y earthly belongings from the precinct house. Although their friend Gabi is to be wed, both Vanessa and Meg confess to one another that they're also a tiny bit jealous because their own love lives are in such turmoil. Antonio winces when Ricardo teases him about the ladies' man he used to be before he donned the priestly collar.

    Feeling sorry for herself, Annie imagines herself as the central character in a soap opera entitled "Search for Dignity". Tess snarls at Meg after overhearing Ben's girlfriend describe Benjy as a spoiled child too used to getting his own way. Afterwards, Tim urges Tess to calm down and give Meg another chance. At the jail, Olivia attempts to convince her daughter to recant but Caitlin stubbornly sticks to her murder confession. Meanwhile, Cole entreats Sean to use his influence with Caitlin to get her to explain why she's made a phony admission of guilt. Deep in the throes of her private daytime drama, Annie decides to turn her pathetic character's life around by throwing away the cliche- ridden script. A suspicious Sara considers digging into Tess personal history.

    Monday, April 26, 1999

    Ben walks into his office at the Liberty Corporation and finds Casey comforting Meg with a warm embrace. Sean rails at Gregory for not even bothering to mention the fact that Caitlin had been arrested for murder. Antonio heads into his brother~s hospital room, determined to unburden himself about making love to Gabi, but stops short when Ricardo blurts out that he intends to get married that very day. At the jail, Cole pleads with Caitlin to recant her confession. Tess notes Sara's reaction to Casey's dogged determination to keep Meg happy. Sensing Antonio's hesitation, Ricardo asks his brother if there's some reason he'd rather not perform the wedding ceremony. Tim tells Annie he won't let anyone stand in the way of him reuniting with his soul mate.

    Monday, April 19, 1999

    Casey and Sara steam things up in the hot tub. Acting on an anonymous tip, Spencer returns to A.J.'s hotel room to conduct another search of the premises. Gabi and Antonio continue to debate the wisdom of coming clean with Ricardo. Ben consoles Maria as she waits on pins and needles for word about her brother's condition. Meanwhile, Annie whispers in Meg's ear that Ben and his first wife are fated to be together forever. Gabi sadly decides to break off her engagement to Ricardo and confess her infidelity. In the hospital's waiting room, Ricardo's family and friends breathe a collective sigh of relief after Tyus announces that his patient should make a complete recovery. As Cole phones his lawyer for advice, Caitlin sneaks the gun out of her husband's jacket and places it in her purse. Benjy rejects Meg's attempts to befriend him.

    Thursday, April 15, 1999

    Annie manages to leave A.J.'s after having planted the handgun in Cole's jacket. Stranded at the same cabin Francesca rented, Gabi and Antonio realize that they will be forced to spend the night together. Things grow heated when they share a blanket in front of a fire in the fireplace. As they huddle together, their lips grow closer. Ricardo meets with Maria at the Java web before she picks up Benjy. As they talk, a masked gunman holds up the place. Annie enters and is quickly threatened by the gunman who panics when he realizes that Ricardo is a cop. As Annie tries to run, the gunman takes aim at her. Ricardo jumps in front of her just as the gunman fires his weapon. Gregory manages to convince Caitlin to sign the divorce papers. Later, she is shocked to find the gun in Cole's jacket.

    Wednesday, April 14, 1999

    Cole and Caitlin are nervous when they both find themselves at the grotto, reminiscing about their past good times. Caitlin finally gets the courage to tell him that it's time to say goodbye. Back at home, Caitlin faces a determined Gregory who pressures her to sign the divorce papers that he's had drawn up. Trying to search the cabin Francesca rented, Gabi and Antonio are caught off guard when the office manager overhears that he is a priest. Gabi admits that he is but then lies and claims that he gave up the priesthood to be with her. Later, Antonio warns Gabi that he doesn't like her lying to protect him but she quickly states that she doesn't like to lie either. On the way back to town, Antonio's car breaks down, leaving the priest stranded with Gabi.

    Monday, April 12, 1999

    Carmen warns Annie that she faces grave danger. Brad grabs a drumstick from the turkey but fails to see the handgun hidden in the carcass of the bird. Amy pushes him to leave with her but then decides to stay and eat some of the food set out for the "Thanksgiving" in April dinner. Meanwhile, at the station house, Bette and Olivia refuse to tell Ricardo anything about the gun, reminding him that he wasn't able to find it at Olivia's. Just as Ricardo threatens to keep them both there all day, Olivia's lawyer Les Gordon interrupts and demands that they be released. Meg viciously blames Maria for scheming to use Benjy to keep close to Ben. Maria denies it and threatens to leave with her son. When Caitlin interrupts, Maria and Meg both realize that Benjy needs to be with his father and mother.

    Friday, April 9, 1999

    Before Ricardo enters, a frantic Bette and Olivia are able to hide the gun in the roasted turkey. Armed with a search warrant, Ricardo orders Olivia and Bette to go down to the station house for questioning. Before they arrive, Amy leaves the police station after having turned on Olivia. Brad accompanies her back to the house where she picks up her things. Hungry, Brad breaks off a drumstick and is surprised by what he sees. Pacing while Carmen reads her Tarot cards, Annie's curious when Carmen announces that a bird will "fly her to her future." She later spots Cole talking with Tyus about Trey. Gregory surprises Cole and offers him an envelope. Surprised it's not a subpoena, Cole finds plane tickets inside with a promise for double mileage if he makes his reservation today.     Denying that she used the gun, Olivia pleads with Bette to believe her claim that she did not kill Francesca. Bette agrees with her that the gun does seem like it was planted. The two decide to dispose of the gun and come up with a plan. However, before they can do anything with it, Amy interrupts followed by Ricardo. Still worried about the videotape, Antonio and Gabi decide they must, at all costs, destroy the tape. Meanwhile, Carmen decides that she is going to find out who the other man in Gabi's life is. She later spots Gabi embracing Antonio. Maria and Meg argue about the new living arrangements now that Maria is back with Ben and Meg but also has Benjy with her. Ben interrupts and sends Maria away so that he and Meg can work this out.

    Wednesday, April 7, 1999

    Ricardo confronts Amy with her lies after Brad's story doesn't match the alibi she gave him earlier. Gabi suggests to Antonio a possible way out of their dilemma. Annie attempts to convince Cole that a second paternity test would be nothing but a complete waste of time. A.J. and Olivia continue to exchange suspicious and surly comments centering on their own theories about how Francesca died. Sean apologizes to Emily for his churlish behavior of late. Amy finally admits to Ricardo that she lied but claims Olivia forced her to do it. Perturbed to hear that Ricardo's wedding plans are still going forward, Carmen accuses Gabi of betraying the man she's going to marry. Rattled to find a gun hidden in Olivia's sofa, Bette fears that her best friend may indeed be a killer. Meanwhile, Ricardo receives a message disclosing the location of the murder weapon.

    Tuesday, April 6, 1999

    Ordering her to keep Cole from finding out that he is Trey's father, Gregory reminds Annie that her immunity is only conditional and he can have it yanked anytime he wants. At The Resort, Caitlin complains to A.J. about Cole keeping the secret from her and assumes that she will eventually divorce him, though she's not sure about anything these days. When A.J. hints that she might have had good reason to kill Francesca, Caitlin goes on the attack and claims that A.J. had the real motive for killing Francesca as did her mother. Meanwhile, Sean tells Cole to forget about Trey and leave his family alone. Cole does some fast-talking in front of Sean and urges him to do what he can to keep Trey with Caitlin. Sean remains suspicious of Cole's real interests.

    Monday, April 5, 1999

    Sara's heart sinks when she finds Casey comforting Meg once again. Ben balks at Maria's insistence that she move in along with Benjy. Les advises a fuming Gregory not to count his chickens before they're hatched. Sean asks his mother straight out if she shot Francesca and is relieved when she vehemently denies the charge. Clutching Trey, Caitlin reports to Gregory the steps she's taken to ensure that Olivia will never regain custody of her son. A.J. admits to Cole he's bitter about the way Olivia lied to him regarding Trey. Later, Cole is served with a restraining order preventing him from coming near Trey. Vanessa and Michael meet for dinner but the date gets off to an awkward start. Emily sadly confides to Bette her fear that Sean has grown distant because he thinks she disapproves of what he did.

    Thursday, April 1, 1999

    When Ben suggests that it makes no sense that she would stay away from him for five years knowing that they had a child together, an indignant Maria asks Ben if he's accusing her of setting him up. On the beach, Meg admits to Tess she selfishly wishes the revelation about Benjy had waited until after she and Ben were safely married. On "Murderer For A Day", Annie reels in horror as Francesca prances out to name her killer. certain the nanny is holding something back, Maria demands the rest of the story from Tess. Antonio covers for Gabi and claims that he's the person Francesca called. Antonio prays to the Virgin for help but is tormented by visions of a mocking Francesca. Gabi returns home and stumbles over the tape from the answering machine.
