Frank hints to Julie that the man to whom she's just become betrothed is the very same person who stole every last dime of her trust fund. Joe and Courtney bring Neil to GH to begin his second round of chemotherapy. Kevin and Eve land in a Roman jail cell and meet another American couple called Fred and Wilma, who spin a yarn about a strange encounter with a man code named "The Cobra". Karen makes up an excuse when Joe wonders why she didn't come into the house to say hello following the 98 Degrees concert. Julie quizzes Chris about her missing money but he adamantly denies having anything to do with the theft. Later, Chris faces similar accusations from Franki and calmly insists he knows nothing about Julie's vanished fortune.

As Gail, Scott, Lucy and Serena spend a long night in the waiting room, Karen regretfully reports that the pulmonary embellism ruptured during surgery and has complicated the procedure even further. In Rome, Kevin and Eve slip into the police morgue late at night in an effort to sneak a peek at Victor's body. Julie phones Chris and again nags him to get moving on having Lee removed as her legal guardian. Eve and Kevin hide from a couple of morgue attendants and soon find themselves locked into the walk_in cooler. Chris and Julie concoct a scheme to ensure that Darren Leopold will be named guardian for Ferncliff's most notorious resident. Gail advises Scott not to push Lucy to press charges against D.V.

As D.V. pushes his way into the firehouse, Lucy icily informs her uninvited guest that his little escapade with the videotape backfired completely. After vowing to annihilate her and Scott with his next salvo, D.V. departs, leaving Lucy shakily wondering what his threat could mean. Mr. Zorin invites Eve and Kevin to join him for dinner at his favorite restaurant in Rome. At GE, Joe explains to Gail and Scott why emergency surgery has become Lee's only viable option. Drawing Joe aside, Karen privately asks what her grandfatherYs chances are and is disheartened to learn that Lee may not survive the operation. Meanwhile, Gail tearfully entreats Lee not to leave her and Scott urges his dad to keep fighting for life.

Kevin reports the theft of his father's computer discs to Mac, who suggests that Victor himself may have secretly returned to the lighthouse to retrieve the evidence of his double life. Lucy spends another long, sleepless night walking the floors with baby Christina. Kevin and Eve decide to fly to Rome. Upon hearing Karen's news, an outraged Joe decks his brother with one punch. Scott is devastated after watching the videotape. Anxious for news of her daughter, Julie phones the firehouse and asks Lucy about the baby for whom she's been caring.
