    Friday, Jan. 29, 1999

    Lucy is thrilled to receive the first prototype for her new clothing line, but her excitement fades when she discovers that the dress was accidentally sized for a young child instead of a grown woman. Frank hints to Lark that he's planned a very special surprise for her birthday party. Chris promises Darren that Frank's continuing dependence on illegal drugs will become public knowledge before the reinstatement hearing convenes at GH. Concerned about Chris having the wrong influence over Neil, Joe asks Courtney to explain to her new "boyfriend" that he is the boy's father and has a voice in how he is raised. Buoyed by Serena's enthusiasm for her new project, Lucy decides to use the girls name to market the line of romantic apparel.

    Thursday, Jan. 28, 1999

    Karen prepares a romantic dinner for Joe and informs her eager suitor that she's acquired some new lingerie for the occasion. Meanwhile, at the Scanlon house, Frank taunts Courtney with the news that his brother will be spending the night in his fiancee's arms. Chris cheerfully hints to Eve that his dismissal hearing at GH will turn out to be a walk in the park. Unable to wait till after dinner, Karen and Joe sin onto the couch and make love for the first time in weeks. Frank is irked to realize that Courtney is still in love with Joe. Chris drops by with welcome home gifts for Neil and his mom. Spotting Joe's prescription pad lying on the desk, Chris secretly pockets a few sheets before he departs.

    Wednesday, Jan. 27, 1999

    Forced to cut their reunion short so she can report for work on time, Karen promises Joe she'll make it up to him that night. Eavesdropping ont he happy couple, Coutrtney recalls the closeness she shared with Joe on the island and wonders how she can eliminate her rival for his affections. Irked to receive notice that the folks at Lance Pharmaceuticals have canceled his contract, Chris threatens to give each of their competitors the formula for DL-56 unless they provide him with legal counsel in time for his hearing at General Hospital. later, attorney Darren Leopold arrives at Chris' apartment and tells the doctor his strategy is to place the blame squarely on Frank Scanlon's shoulders. Joe assures his curious bib brother that noghing of a sexual nature transpired between him and Courtney while they were castaways in Greece.

    Tuesday, Jan. 26, 1999

    Moping around the firehouse, Serena pesters her father to hurry up and pop the question to Lucy so they can all live together as a family again. Using the fake passports provided by Victor, Joe and Courtney board a plane for home posing as newlyweds. Frank awakens with a massive hangover and is embarrassed to hear from Karen how he came on strong with her during his night of drunken debauchery. When Karen cautions him to remember that alcoholism runs in his family, however, Frank grows snappish and insists he is only a social drinker who occasionally overdoes it. During the flight home, Mary is touched when Neil asks if he can call her "Grandma" from now on. Lucy describes for Scott her successful first experiment with the dress, then asks her old pal for ideas about how they can rush the new designs into stores in time to rescue Jax Cosmetics from its financial doldrums.

    Monday, Jan. 25, 1999

    Lucy explains to Ellen that although she's moved out of the fire house she's still very much committed to a relationship with Scott. Frank gets arrested for being drunk and disorderly. Joe pilots the chopper back to the mainland and phones Karen to let her know he'll be home soon. His optimism proves to be misplaced, however, as Costa and his guards quickly track down Neil and his parents through the device in the boy's wristwatch. Lucy coaxes a grumbling Ellen to model the dress she found in Florida, then urges her friend to let her imagination run wild. Karen bails Frank out of the drunk tank and reminds him that drowning his sorrows won't change the situation with Julie. Insisting that no one will rob him of the rest of his son's childhood, Joe promises Costa that he will always allow him and Elena to be part of Neil~s life.

    Friday, Jan. 22, 1999

    Convinced that Julie is truly ill this time, Alex asks Karen to take a look at his prisoner. After the opiate takes effect and knocks the Kinellos and their guards out cold, Joe and the others help victor out to the helicopter and try to get him coherent enough to fly them all to safety. As Karen examines her, Julie bitterly warns her wary one-time colleague that she feels no remorse for the killing she's done and would have no compunction about hurting another former friend. unable to wake Victor, Joe decides to fly the chopper himself despite Mary and Courtney's anxiety about his lack of experience in the air. Julie grows hysterical and screams at Karen to get out. After rapidly reviewing the flight manual, Joe loads his nervous passengers into the helicopter and starts the engine.

    Thursday, Jan. 21, 1999

    Lee explains to Frank and Karen why the court-appointed psychiatrist's report could mean the difference between life and death for Julie. On the island, Joe quietly suggests to Victor that they use some indigenous poppies to brew up just enough opium to put Costa and his small army of security guards to sleep for a while. Meanwhile, Courtney tells Neil why they're going to have to sneak away from John's parents if they have any hope of returning to the United States together. As Dr Davis arrives to examine Julie, Lee is irked to learn that Alex has been conversing with his client without letting her have the benefit of counsel present. Later, answering questions from the shrink, Julie begins to believe that her dead father is in the room and rails at "Bennett" for his failures as a parent.

    Wednesday, Jan. 20, 1999

    As Lucy hesitantly explains why it's time for her to move out of the fire house, Serena becomes upset and races away in tears. Courtney verifies for a stunned Neil that Joe is his real father. Confused and hurt, Neil accuses his mother of lying out of spite because she's mad at his grandparents for bringing him to Greece. Lucy frantically attempts to comfort a sobbing Serena, promising the girl they'll see each other all the time even though they won't be living under the same roof anymore. Chris suggests to Eve that her glee at hearing the news about Lucy's latest move only proves she's still carrying a torch for Scott. Joe manages to calm Neil down, then tells the boy that although he would never try to replace John he wants very much to be a good dad to his son.

    Tuesday, Jan. 19, 1999

    Kevin and Eve finally return home following their racy adventure at the thrift shop. Glancing around the lighthouse, Eve is pleased to note that all of Lucy's belongings have vanished. Scott is disappointed to overhear Lucy telling Don she's moving back to her old suite at the Port Charles Hotel. On their private island, the Kanelos warn Courtney that if she chooses to return to the united States she will never see her son again. Lucy and Scott bump into Kevin and Eve while lunching at the same restaurant. Neil is shocked to overhear Courtney and Joe discussing his true paternity.

    Monday, Jan. 18, 1999

    As Eve primps in front of the mirror in eager anticipation of her upcoming date, Kevin rushes around setting the stage for a romantic night at the lighthouse. When Eve phones to say her car has broken down, Kevin agrees to hurry out and pick her up at the thrift store where sh's taken refuge from the cold. At GH, Karen tells a grateful Frank the latest lab results shwo that he's completely detoxed from the DL-56. Late, Frank makes another attempt to mend fences with former friends, but Matt coldly reminds the paramedic that his recent actions were indirectly responsible for the deaths of two innocent people. Eve and Kevin find themselves locked in when the thrift store owner closes up shop for the night without first checking to make sure his dressing rooms are empty.

    Friday, Jan. 15, 1999

    A worried Lucy tells Scott that the fiscal crisis at Jax Cosmetics is reaching epidemic proportions. Eve whines to Chris about how Lucy's far reaching tentacles still ensnare Kevin despite the fact that they're officially broken up. Meanwhile, Kevin finally finishes packing up the last of his former lover's belongings and sends the box by messenger over to the firehouse. Reminding Chris how she had to battle Dominique's ghost when she dated Scott, Eve vows that she won't fight another specter of an old lover just to be with Kevin. Kevin confides to Ellen that Lucy's memory will always live in the lighthouse no matter how clean he sweeps the place of everything she touched. Lucy struggles to come up with a way to rejuvenate her company and its flagging profits.

    Thursday, Jan. 14, 1999

    While victor distracts Costa and Elena, Joe draws Neil aside and lets the astonished boy see through his disguise. Meanwhile, on the far side of the island, Mary and Courtney try to talk their way out of trouble. A sneering Julie reminds Frank that his essentially gullible nature made it easy for her to pull his strings whenever she needed to use him. Afterwards, Julie asks Alex if he believes it's possible for someone who has done terrible things to find redemption. Joe whispers to Neil that Courtney is still very much alive, then explains to the confused boy that his grandparents have been deceiving him ever since they arrived in Greece.

    Wednesay, Jan. 13, 1999

    Eve returns to the lighthouse early in the a.m. to check on Kevin's aching back. Serena tells Lucy she's still hoping a treasure map will emerge once Claude manages to clean off the coffee stains from the document her dad brought back from Florida. Joe, Courtney, Victor and Mary land on the Kanelos' private island and set out in search of Neil. As she plays nurse to help ease Kevin's back pain, Eve is slightly annoyed to keep encountering mementos left over from Lucy's long stay at the lighthouse. Lucy explains to Scott how Jax Cosmetics has suffered some business setbacks ever since Rex Stanton tainted their herbal line. Joe and Victor decide to leave Mary and Courtney behind for safekeeping while they head directly into the Kanelos' compound.

    Tuesday, Jan. 12, 1999

    Worried that she may succumb to the sea urchin's sting, a feverish Courtney asks Joe to looNc after Neil once she's gone. Meanwhile, Victor and Mary begin an air search over the water in the helicopter they commandeered from Schotzie. As the truth slowly begins to sink in, Julie is appalled to realize that Greg lied about being her brother and conned her into murdering five human beings. When Frank and Karen come by the jail to check on her, however, Julie bitterly lashes out at them both and insists she wants no visitors. Mary is thrilled to be reunited with her son during a search of the horseshoe-shaped island. After Joe briefs them on Courtney's condition, victor suggests brewing a tea made from grape seeds to combat the sea urchin's venom.

    Monday, Jan. 11, 1999

    Kevin brings Eve back to the lighthouse to resume the intimate dinner which Lucy interrupted the first time around. Following a disturbing call from Mary, Frnak hesitantly informs a stunned Karen that Joe and Courtney may have been lost at sea while searching for Neil in Greece. Meanwhile, on the island, Courtney hallucinates about receiving a romantic proposal from the man of her dreams. As he tries to bring down Coutney's high fever, Joe is startled to hear her mumbling about having longed to marry him ever since she was a teen. Surrounded by mementos of the shrink's prior girlfriend, Eve reminds Kevin that she won't be his rebound relationship if he's still hung up on Lucy Coe. Later, Kevin and Eve head back to the karaoke bar to relive one of their happiest evenings together.

    Friday, Jan. 8, 1999

    Serena suggests to Scott that they surprise Lucy by throwing her a "Christmas in January" party to welcome her home. Meanwhile, Ellen teases Lucy about the way she seems to have settled so comfortably into her life with Scott at the firehouse. Eve tells Chris she's decided to reveal to Kevin how she truly feels about him. Scott wonders where he really stands with Lucy after learning that she's gone to check on her favorite shrink worried that Serena will be crushed if Lucy deserts them, Scott tries to prepare his daughter for the possibility that her "second mother" may be moving out soon. At the lighthouse, Kevin enjoys an embarrassment of riches when Lucy and Eve both stop by to see him. Eve, however, is simply embarrassed by her attempt to set a romantic scene with a catered gourmet meal and hastily excuses herself after seeing that her rival is also present.

    Thursday, Jan. 7, 1999

    Karen is relieved to see Frank return to General Hospital relatively unscathed. Promising his friend he~s remained clean, Frank thanks Karen for supporting him throughout the long ordeal of his withdrawal. On the island, Courtney's patience wears thin as Joe struggles unsuccessfully to build a raft which is seaworthy enough to get them back to the mainland---and their young son. Victor and Mary find themselves locked in the back of Gunther's truck as Schotzie takes control of the vehicle and drives off with his prisoners in tow. Sifting through the medical supplies in Gunther's cargo, Victor decides to try funneling nitrous oxide into the truck's cab to anesthetize the assassin at the steering wheel. Frank confides to Karen that he believes Julie lied about being pregnant just to win his sympathy and con him into helping her escape from jail.

    Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999

    Realizing that Chris is standing on a trip wire, Scott cautions the doctor not to move another muscle. Recalling a circus friend who used to escape from a straitjacket at every performance, Eve tries to wriggle loose a few fingers. Frank and Alex search for an entrance to the catacombs which could gain them access to the Stanton house. In Athens, Gunther offers to help Victor and Mary sneak past the spy's old nemesis and slip over to the docks. Following a scuffle in the tunnel, Greg shoots Kevin and hurries off with Julie in tow. Scott uses a counterweight on the trip wire to help Chris ease his feet away from the booby- trap. When Alex and Frank arrive, Kevin assures them he's suffered only a flesh wound and urges the police detective to keep tracking Greg.

    Tuesday, Jan. 5, 1999

    Pestered by Mary for the truth about why some old enemy would want to do him in, Victor attempts to stonewall but finally is forced to admit that he's been working as a spy for most of his adult life. Inside the Stanton house, Greg taunts Kevin about both the women in his life getting bricked up together behind a wall and spending eternity side by side. Meanwhile, Eve and Lucy try to convince Julie that she's being used by a twisted sicko who considers her just as expendable as his three hostages. Scott and Chris search for a way into the mansion without setting off any of the booby-trap Cooper placed around the perimeter. Julie phones Frank and warns him to make the police back off before they jeopardize the life of his unborn child.
