Kevin admits to Grace that he's sorry he blew the opportunity for them to get to know one another better---both personally and professionally. Asa grouses to Renee about Bo betraying the Buchanan clan by taking Lindsay's side instead of pursuing Texas justice. Meanwhile, at the station house, Bo grimly reminds a protesting Sam that he's only doing his job in arresting Lindsay. R.J. and Sophia begin to discover that they have more in common than they first suspected. Declaring her innocence, Lindsay begs Sam to represent her. Later, Sam asks Nora to handle Rae's situation so he can be free to concentrate on his ex-wife's case. Renee tells Max she knows he would never break her heart with a cruel hoax. Rae eagerly presses an annoyed Nora for the gory details about her complex triangular relationship with Sam and Bo.

R.J. advises Sophia to get out of Dorian's life before he's forced to make her vanish permanently. At the precinct house, Rae urges John to release her so she can be on about the important business which brought her to Llanview in the first place. Renee happily informs an astounded Nora and Sam that an amazing turn of events has given her the son she always wanted. As Bo explains why he's been compelled by the evidence to place her under arrest, Lindsay tearfully insists she had nothing to do with Jessica's tragic accident. Blair quietly assures Max she's already guaranteed that a DNA test will confirm his tale about being the long-lost Buchanan heir. Bo promises Lindsay he won't rest until he's cleared her name. Sophia calmly calls R.J.'s bluff without batting an eye. Sam agrees to help Rae extricate herself from her legal difficulties.

Jessica finally tracks will down at the lodge and the grieving young parents console one another through their tears. Following an uneasy encounter with Asa, Max reminds Blair that the dangerous game they're playing could backfire on them at any moment. Lindsay is delighted to discover the romantic surprise Bo arranged for her at the country club. John prods Tea to explain why the hit-and-run case seems to have hit too close to home for her. Despite the mounting evidence, Bo angrily reminds his people that Lindsay is not a suspect in the death of Jessica 5 baby. Roseanne suggests to Cristian that the loss of little Megan has permanently bonded Jessica and will. A woman bent on revenge speeds towards Llanview.

Though Asa angrily sputters that Esther's incredible story is a fake, Renee beams to think that the man she's always thought of as a son could actually be her own flesh and blood. Viki explains to her devastated daughter how an emergency C-section brought Megan into the world for a few brief hours--just long enough to provide another child with the gift of sight. Lindsay is pleased when Bo suggests that they start spending a lot more time together. Overruling her mother's protests, Jessica insists on going to see will right away despite the lateness of the hour. Esther returns to Max's place and warns him and Blair that Asa had a hard time swallowing her tall tale. Meanwhile, back at the Buchanan mansion, Renee urges Asa to consider the very real possibility that the connection she's felt to Max for years was deeper than anyone could have know.

Gravely disappointed by the results of Matthew's DNA test, Asa tells Renee the Buchanan dynasty he's dreamed of building seems to have eluded his grasp. Waking from a dream about Megan Victoria, Jessica wanders out to the gazebo in her nightgown, calling her baby's name. Though Carlotta encourages her son to be patient, a sullen Cristian feels certain Jessica will never remember him or the life they planned to share. Ben tries to talk will out of his impulsive decision to leave Llanview. As she attempts to coax Jessica back into the house, Viki realizes that her daughter has finally remembered the baby she lost. Max and Blair grit their teeth as Esther makes herself at home in the newlywed's domicile while awaiting the big pay-off from Asa.

As Viki prepares to take her daughter home from the hospital, will confides to Ben how weird it feels having Jessica remember only the best part of their time together. Meanwhile, Dorian nervously assures a foggy Jessica that she was nowhere near the Crossroads bar on the night of the accident. Sam heaves a huge sigh of relief after the test results reveal conclusively that he is Matthew's biological father. After congratulating Sam, Bo reminds a sympathetic Nora that he had never bonded with the baby in the first place. An agitated Lindsay quietly admits to Dorian she still isn't sure if the DNA results are genuine or if they've been altered. Joey promises Kelly hell never again give her any reason to be jealous.

A distraught Jessica tells her mother she's being troubled by some disturbing memory which lingers just out of reach. Nora, Sam, Bo and Lindsay nervously converge on the hospital after learning that the DNA test results are in. Sophia proposes to Dorian that she act as her social secretary from now on. Later, Kelly is appalled to discover that Sophia has taken up residence in Dorian's home. Listening to Jessica describe the terrifying emptiness she's suffering, Viki uneasily wonders if her daughter is finally starting to put the pieces together about Megan Victoria's birth and untimely death. Later, Ben helps Viki convinces Larry to release Jessica ahead of schedule so she can continue to recuperate in her own bed at Llanfair.

Viki sadly tells Ben how she's been having a recurring dream about baby Megan. Will introduces himself to Jessica, who struggles to recall why her visitor looks so familiar. When she remembers kissing him in the park, Will realizes she has recollected what transpired during his very first night in Llanview. In Las Vegas, Max brings Blair to the "Chapel of Love" and asks her to be his bride. Asa pesters an irritated Nora to again take up the hunt for his long-lost son. Shedding tears of joy to hear Max declare his love, Blair happily agrees to marry him. Sitting together in the attic where they first made love, Viki thanks Ben for dispelling so many of the demons which have haunted her for so long.

As Max shows Blair the forged adoption papers, Esther assures her fellow conspirators she's ready to spin a yarn about giving Renee's baby to Wingate Holden and his wife. Jessica has a fuzzy recollection of talking to Renee about becoming some baby's godmother but cannot imagine whose child they might have been discussing. Meanwhile, Larry explains to a fretful Clint why Jessica may be subconsciously suppressing some memories which are just too painful to recall. Nora bitterly wonders why Bo was so quick to give up on their marriage after she made one regrettable mistake. Blair has second thoughts about conning Asa after hearing the tragic news about his great-granddaughter. Frightened by Cris fervent efforts to jog her memory, Jessica insists that he leave her room.

A guilt-ridden Dorian comes face-to-face with Jessica at the hospital. She is relieved to learn that Jessica is healthy now but has also lost her memory and doesn't remember anything about the accident. Armed with what she knows, Sophia announces to Dorian that she has decided to move in with her. Meanwhile, Joey confides to Kelly that he is glad that they are finally rid of Sophia. Kevin assigns the staff at the Banner to find leads on who was responsible for Jessica's hit-and-run accident. He's thrilled when Grace offers her help. Tea's strange response to his questions about Jessica's accident give Sykes some concern. Bo announces to Lindsay that he intends to be a part of Matthew's life if it is revealed that he is the boy's father.

Mistaking Sophie for Jessica, Dorian begs the "apparition" to forgive her for the hit-and-run. At the hospital, Cristian is startled to discover that Jessica doesn't recall a single moment of their four years together. Bo finds Sam waiting for him at the precinct house. Though the commissioner suggests they wait for the results of the DNA test before they discuss Matthew, Sam icily insists that the baby is his son no matter what the test might say. Meanwhile, Nora snarls at Asa to stay away from Matthew but he warns her he won't be deprived of his grandson's company. Realizing she now has some highly valuable information to peddle, Sophie informs a fuming Dorian that she expects to be generously compensated in exchange for her silence.

Bo tells a delighted Asa that there may be already be another young Buchanan in the world. Meanwhile, Sam bitterly vows to remain a part of Matthew's life come hell or high water. Larry confirms Viki's premonition that her daughter has begun to improve. Later, as Viki and Clint eagerly lean over her hospital bed, Jessica opens her eyes at last. Lindsay tells Nora she's done the right thing in coming clean to Bo and Sam, despite the heavy emotional toll it's taken on all of them. Close to hysterics, Dorian explains to R.J. how Jessica has been haunting her and threatening to tell everyone who ran her down. Reminding his friend that they've already covered all their tracks, R.J. warns Dorian not to blow it now by confessing to the hit-and-run.

Nora cringes as Sam muses over how devastated he would be if he ever lost little Matthew. Bristling when Viki suggests exploring other avenues to help improve their daughter's condition, Clint bitterly informs his ex-wife that her lousy judgment has already done enough damage. Taken aback Clint's sudden ferocity, Viki realizes that his verbal attack is really about her romance with Ben. Lindsay tearfully confides to Bo how she was actually starting to look forward to being a grandmother just as baby Megan was snatched away by cruel fate. Sam gives his brother a pep talk after Ben discloses how he's been getting some strange vibes from Clint. Meanwhile, Clint finally calms down and admits to Viki that he's been blaming her for the failure of their marriage and his subsequent ill-advised union with Lindsay.

A grim-faced Bo exhorts his officers to comb the entire area around the Crossroads for any clue which will lead them to the coward who ran down his pregnant niece. Although a guilt-stricken Dorian insists on going to the hospital to confess everything to Viki, R.J. reminds his friend that no one in Llanview will believe her hitting Jessica was an accident. Ben reports to Clint and Viki that Jessica came through the surgery, which has increased her odds for survival. Standing in the hospital nursery, the parents of the blind baby thank Will for giving their child such a precious gift. Kelly consoles Joey as the Buchanan's and the Davidson's gather together in the neonatal unit to say goodbye.
