Will thanks Roseanne for convincing him that dropping out of college would be a huge mistake. In her new role as editor-in- chief at the Sun, Kelly informs a seething Blair that her desk is being moved to the City Room so she can be with all the other reporters. Irked to find her old nemesis at her front door, Dorian snarls at Viki to cease her pathetic pursuit of another woman's husband. Realizing Dorian has no clue about the tragedy which has befallen her, Viki tries to gently break the news about the plane crash. Sam returns home to find that his son has turned the place into a pigsty during his absence. Blair furiously faces off with Kelly, who declares that she's going to turn the Sun into a newspaper everyone in Llanview can respect.

Asa advises Nora to make her move on Bo before they both lose him forever. After a jet explodes in mid-air and crashes into the Atlantic, news of the disaster spreads fear throughout Llanview as residents anxiously await word on the identities of the victims. At the precinct house, John tries to bolster Bo's flagging morale. Nora explains to her impatient father-in-law why she must give Bo the time and space he needs to work through his anger. As Jessica and Joey fret about their mother, Viki suddenly walks in. Lindsay complains to Bo that her love life has been in a major slump for eons. Dorian waits eagerly for Mel to return so they can kiss and make up in grand style. Surprised by the extra warm reception from her relieved children, Viki explains how she received a note about a family emergency.

Blair's jaw drops when Max announces that he's just made Asa her new partner at the Sun. Lindsay offers Bo a sympathetic shoulder as they toss back a few drinks in the hotel lounge. Kevin wheels Cassie aboard the plane and buckles her into her seat. Meanwhile, Dorian pounds on the door of the janitor's closet in a desperate effort to attract someone's attention. As she and Mel prepare to board their flight, an ominous sense of foreboding continues to dog Viki. Dorian is finally released and shrilly insists that Kevin be placed under arrest the instant he sets foot in Switzerland. Bo admits to Lindsay how devastated he was to learn that he can never again father a child.

Kevin is irked to learn that Dorian removed her daughter from St. Ann's without the doctors' permission. Max sells Asa his shares in the Sun. While walking through the park, Nora is accosted by a knife-wielding mugger who demands that she hand over her purse and all her jewelry. Viki volunteers to be Jessica's childbirth coach but the young mother decides to consider all her options before making a selection. Kelly tips Kevin off about her aunt's plan to take Cassie to Switzerland. Lindsey warns Asa she can still supply the press with some juicy details about his family unless he coughs up the check he promised her. A weeping Nora clings to Bo after the mugger runs off with her wedding ring. At the airport, Kevin locks Dorian in a janitor's closet and heads down the ramp with Cassie and the tickets to Europe.

Mel and Dorian argue again about what's best for Cassie. Afterwards, Dorian places a call to her divorce lawyer. Max angrily accuses Blair of double-crossing him after she runs a cover story about the fall of the house of Buchanan. Bo is displeased to find Nora waiting for him in his office at the precinct house. Tea helps Kevin obtain a date for a hearing to overturn the court order which Dorian has been using to keep him away from his wife. Max suggests to a scornful Blair that her campaign to trash Nora is just a roundabout way of gaining the attention of the man she loves---him. Turning a deaf ear to his wife's pleas, Bo icily advises Nora to seek comfort from Sam instead. Despite her bluff with the call to her attorney, Dorian is shattered when Mel announces that he's heading to Baghdad to put some distance between them.

Will icily informs Nora that he's resigning his position in her law office. Mel apologizes to Dorian and reminds her that he still wants their marriage to work. At St. Ann's, Cassie happily tells "Andrew" how much she loves him. Meanwhile, the real Reverend carpenter arrives and is startled to see that Kevin signed in under his name. Facing sharp criticism from Will, Nora tries to explain why she did what she did and urges the boy to cut his father some slack. Later, Nora reads Sam's letter of farewell. The new computer system at the Llanview Police Department continues to be an additional source of irritation for Bo as he struggles to deal with his overwhelming personal problems. Still under the delusion that Kevin is Andrew, Cassie confides how she wants to adopt the baby boy she found in the manger.

At the Banner, Viki confides to Kevin how she's been filled with a strange sense of dread ever since she woke up that morning. Dorian screeches at Mel for siding with Viki instead of her during their confrontation in the city room. As Kelly berates her cousin for exploiting Bo and Nora's pain just to sell newspapers, Asa strides in and warns Blair she'll pay dearly for publicly humiliating his son. Kevin tells Jessica and Joey how he slipped into St. Ann's disguised as a priest. will complains to Cris and Roseanne about his father skipping town with his tail between his legs. As their quarrel continues to escalate, an incensed Dorian orders Mel to pack his things and get out. During a long, tough day at the paper, Viki admits to Joey how much she--and the Banner--both miss Clint.

Blair crows in triumph as the Sun's mocking headline makes waves all over town. Meanwhile, Nora tells Sam she's determined to find a way to win her husband back despite the long odds against her. Will spends the night curled up next to Roseanne. In the morning, Will thanks Roseanne for lending him a sympathetic ear in his hour of need. Incensed to find one of his officers reading the cover story in the Sun, Bo angrily reminds everyone within shouting distance that his personal life is none of their concern. Though Max complains that her vendetta against Sam has hurt two people he cares for, Blair refuses to back down and insists that Bo and Nora's shattered marriage is not her responsibility.

Due to live coverage of the Senate impeachment trial, "One Life to Live" did not air on Tuesday, January 19.

Renee tries to console a devastated Nora as she fears that Bo will never forgive her for betraying him. Meanwhile, Bo confronts Sam, who attempts to convince the fuming police commissioner that he really only wanted to help Nora give her husband a child. Asa informs Nora that he won t let her drag him down with her as her marriage crumbles. With some help from Andrew, Kevin disguises himself as a priest and sneaks into St. Ann's to visit Cassie. Jessica drops by to see Cris and is taken aback to discover that Roseanne has moved in. Later, assuring Cris she isn't jealous, Jessica seals her promise with a kiss. As Cassie "confesses" that a coworker has been flirting with her at the Banner, Kevin is astounded to realize that his wife believes she is still happily married to Andrew.

Hoping to garner some official assistance from the DA's office, Kevin complains to Tea that his wife has been kidnapped by her aunt. At St. Ann's, Andrew and Kelly are astonished to realize that Cassie has lost the last two years of her life and doesn't remember marrying Kevin. Will sheepishly explains to his father why he spent the afternoon at the police station after making a scene in front of Jessica. Admitting that Bo~s advice made sense, will tells Sam he's decided to allow his child to be adopted by some worthy couple. Shoving Nora out of the way, Lindsay takes the microphone at the Bar Association's banquet and shrilly informs the crowd that she has something to tell them all about their precious "woman of the Year".

Viki berates Dorian for refusing to let Kevin visit his own wife. unperturbed by the lecture from her old nemesis, Dorian informs Viki she's going to do everything in her power to ensure that Kevin never lays eyes on Cassie again. Hoping to inspire some jealousy in her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Roseanne lets Will know that she's moved in with Crisitan. Joey admits to Kelly that he's badly confused about how to handle the situation with Barbara. Renee tells a disappointed Asa she got nowhere trying to dissuade Nora from coming clean with Bo. Meanwhile, Nora works up the courage to make a confession but once again has to put her private remarks on hold when Hank goes to the microphone to introduce the "Woman of the Year".

With a heavy heart and mixed emotions, Nora prepares to accept the "Woman of the Year" award during the Llanview Bar Association's annual banquet at the country club. Bo confides to Hank his suspicion that Nora and Sam are both lying to him in order to cover up an illicit affair. Dorian takes Cassie to St. Ann's and gives the head psychiatrist strict instructions not to let Kevin Buchanan anywhere near her daughter. Andrew tries to explain to an anxious River why he can t visit his mom just yet. out of his son's earshot, Andrew admits to Tea that he's just as worried as River is about Cassie's health. Totally opposed to his wife's latest maneuver, Mel lets Kevin know where Cassie is but warns his friend that he won't be allowed to see her.

Cris tells Roseanne he thinks there might be a chance for him and Jessica once the baby is born. Meanwhile, an incensed Will storms into Llanfair and loudly informs the woman from the adoption agency that nobody is going to steal his child away from him. Nora thanks Sam for buying her some time with the lie he told Bo. Lindsey again threatens to reveal a certain secret unless the Buchanan's dole out a handsome divorce settlement. Refusing to calm down, Will shouts at Jessica that she will not deprive him of his rights. Unable to convince the young man to leave, Viki calls Bo and asks him to escort will out of her house. Kevin shows an appalled Kelly the restraining order her aunt took out against him.

Though Kevin tries to prepare her for the worst, Dorian is caught off guard by her first sight of Cassie as she returns to Llanview. Unable to live with her overwhelming burden of guilt, Nora explains to Renee why she has to tell Bo the truth. Meanwhile, Bo corners Sam in his law office and demands to know what's going on between him and Nora. Jessica meets with the director of a private adoption agency. Determined to help Cassie through her illness, Dorian suggests to her daughter that once they're rid of Kevin everything will soon get back to normal. Later, out of Cassie's earshot, an enraged Dorian rails at Kevin for ruining her daughter's life. Renee urges Nora to keep her secret to herself, for Bo's sake if not her own.

An unhappy Kevin confides to Viki his fear that Cassie may have succumbed to the Cramer family curse of mental illness. Will explains to Sam why he's so determined to provide a good home for his child. Bo spends the night in his office at the precinct house and refuses to take any of Nora's frantic phone calls. Encountering Cristian on campus at Llanview university, Jessica discloses her decision to give the baby up for adoption, then expresses a hope that they'll have a chance to be a couple again once her present situation is resolved. Asa suggests to Bo that he take a stab at filling the Senate seat Graham has been forced to vacate. Sam warns a guilt-ridden Nora that her husband is on the verge of ferreting out the truth about her unborn child.

In the middle of the country club bash, the actress Blair hired begins to shriek about her missing necklace. Andrew fears the worst when he and Kevin discover that Cassie has vanished from her hospital bed. As Lindsay looks on from the sidelines, Bo icily demands an explanation from Nora and Sam. Claiming she was overcome with relief and burst into tears when she told Sam their good news, Nora tries desperately to allay her husband's suspicions. After Hank asks Tea to open her purse, Blair is startled to see that the attorney handbag contains no jewelry at all. In response, Tea dumps out her accuser's purse and triumphantly reveals that the "stolen" necklace was actually in Blair's possession all along.

Intent on taking her revenge against Tea, Blair persuades Max to ask the new ADA to the dance at the country club. At the hospital, Andrew tells Kevin he's afraid Cassie may have suffered another nervous breakdown. Annoyed to see that Bo and his wife still haven t left for the Bahamas, Asa pulls Nora aside and hisses at her for failing to follow through. Lindsay coaxes Sam to escort her to the party. Although Andrew suggests that Cassie may need professional help, Kevin stubbornly refuses to even consider sending his wife to a mental hospital. Max oozes with oily charm in an effort to convince a suspicious Tea to accompany him to the country club. Cassie entreats Kevin to promise that he'll never commit her to an asylum.

As Sam researches Gaucher's Disease, Lindsay reminds her startled ex how devastated his aunt was when she lost a baby to that very illness. Bo admits to Nora how good it felt to snap the cuffs on both Senator Graham and his deadly daughter. After Dr. Dreyfuss phones with the results of his blood test, Bo happily reports that he carries no recessive gene for Gaucher's. Though Nora feigns joy at the news, Asa privately reminds his daughter- in-law that they won't be in the clear until Sam's lab results are in. Through the bars of her jail cell, a tearful Barbara explains to Joey how his love gave her hope for the first time in her life that she could overcome the dark rages which controlled her for years.
