    Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998

    As River shows his dad the pin he found, Kevin recognizes the piece of jewelry and realizes Cassie must have recently been in the vicinity of the chapel. Up in the bell tower, Cassie and Barbara struggle for control of the gun. Lindsay tells Sam that in the spirit of the holidays she'd like to bury the hatchet with him. Upon hearing a gunshot coming from the belfry, Kevin, Joey, Andrew and Bo rush up the stairs.

    Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998

    As he plays Santa at the Angel Square Christmas party, Hank informs his delighted brother that he's releasing him early from his community service commitment. Kneeling in prayer at the altar of St. James, Andrew suggests to Kevin that they both ask God for a badly needed miracle. Meanwhile, up in the bell tower, Barbara eagerly reminds Cassie that now that she's recovered there no longer any reason to exact revenge. Asa presents the folks at the community center with a generous check for a new childcare facility. Listening to her grandfather speak about the promise of future generations, Jessica recalls the couple she overheard at the Night of Miracles praying for a baby to love.

    Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998

    Joey bristles when Kevin decides to run an item in the Banner about the "killer nurse" taking Cassie captive. Meanwhile, up in the bell tower, Barbara tries to take advantage of Cassie's exhaustion by making a play for the gun. Enraged to learn that an arrest warrant has been issued for his daughter, Richard storms into the precinct house and demands that John rescind the order. Lindsay and Sam sit down with Clint and Nora to discuss the proposed divorce settlement, but the mediation session rapidly deteriorates into a shouting match between the estranged spouses. Bo accuses Richard of killing Monk and trying to silence Andrew with another attempt on the minister's life.

    Monday, Dec. 28, 1998

    Pointing the gun at Barbara, Cassie instructs the trembling nurse to write a suicide note. Inside the crowded chapel, Jessica tells Viki her Christmas prayer is for God's guidance as she ponders the fate of her unborn child. Bo and Kevin break some bad news to Joey, who furiously denies that Barbara could ever be capable of causing anyone such pain. will explains to a tearful Roseanne why he must now focus all his attention and energy on the child Jessica is expecting. As John issues an arrest warrant for Barbara, Bo suggests to an irritated Kevin that Cassie may well have taken Barbara hostage rather than the other way around. Meanwhile, Cassie dictates Barbara's farewell letter to Joey but her prisoner tosses the note out the window instead of handing it over to her tormentor.

    Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998

    Shaken by the attempt on Andrew's life, Barbara tearfully tells the priest she's decided to come clean with Joey before confessing to the authorities. A gloating Max jeers at Llanview's newest ADA after the Sun runs a front page story criticizing Tea's motives. Sam and Nora are flustered to learn that they are slated to oppose one another in the Buchanan's divorce case. Alone at the mill house, Cassie practices leaving her wheelchair and standing on her own two feet once again. Bo shows Kevin the file on Drew's murder, then reveals that he believes Barbara pulled the trigger which wrecked two lives. Nora warns Sam that his ex-wife is out for blood now that she knows who is representing Clint in the divorce proceedings.

    Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998

    Concerned that she isn t ready to become a mother, Jessica confides to Vikki that she's having second thoughts about carrying her unborn child to term. Nora is taken aback when Clint asks her to represent him in his upcoming divorce from Lindsey. Carlotta urges an angry Cris to try and realize that Jessica's refusal to marry him might be a blessing in disguise. Lindsey pressures Sam to act as her attorney as she prepares to take Clint to the cleaners in divorce court. Joey and Kevin try to cheer up their kid sister with their annual outing for the family's Christmas tree. Nora nervously suggests to Clint that he go easy on Lindsey.

    Monday, Dec. 21, 1998

    As Jessica returns to Llanfair, Viki commends her daughter for making such a mature decision. Lindsey and Clint hash out their differences and agree that their marriage just might survive the recent crisis after all. Asa learns from Bo how Nora's unborn child could inherit a serious disease if both parents carry the same defective gene. Meanwhile, Sam assures a worried Nora that he'll make certain his blood test isn't linked to hers in any way, shape or form. Jessica hesitantly admits to an astounded Viki that Lindsey gave her money to help her and Cris elope. Later, Viki corners Clint's wife and reads her the riot act. Bo tells Nora he knows there might be a problem with their baby.

    Friday, Dec. 18, 1998

    Andrew catches Cassie wiggling her toes and happily congratulates her on the wonderful progress she's made. Dismayed to learn that she carries a rare recessive gene for Gouchet's Disease, Nora fears that her unborn child may be seriously impaired. When her doctor explains why the baby's father must also be tested for the gene, Nora realizes she has a new and difficult dilemma to face. Tea grills Sam about what he knew and when he knew it in the case involving Todd. Annoyed, Sam accuses the new ADA of carrying out a personal vendetta. Across town, Blair rages at Kelly for splashing the news about the grand jury all over the front page of the Sun. Anxious to keep Andrew quiet, Cassie claims the twitching in her toes is strictly involuntary and means nothing at all.

    Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998

    Cassie bitterly informs her mother she's resigned herself to the kind of life Addie and Melinda have endured for years. Urging her daughter not to lose hope, Dorian encourages Cassie to believe she can have everything she wants despite her disability. Meanwhile, at Club Indigo, Kevin confides to Mel how troubled he is by the fact that his wife shared her private pain with Andrew instead of him. Railing at the fate which forces him to keep silent, Andrew entreats God to help him lead his tormented parishioners to some sort of peaceful resolution to their dilemma. In Maryland, the storekeepers continue to pull delaying tactics to stall the impromptu wedding ceremony. As Jessica and Cris finally begin to exchange vows, Viki and Carlotta burst in and put a halt to the proceedings.

    Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998

    Determined to make a fresh start, Tea accepts a position as Llanview's newest assistant district attorney. Blair gets nowhere trying to sneak some paper work past Max, who refuses to authorize a raise for the Sun's editor unless she reciprocates. Viki and Carlotta head to Maryland in an effort to find their runaway children before the clock chimes midnight and turns Jessica into a legal adult. Meanwhile, Roseanne urges Cris and Jessica to get married right away before the authorities close in and make an arrest. At the Banner, Clint snarls at Mel when the columnist suggests that he's overreacted to the situation with his daughter. Will does some research into the rights of the birth father in cases involving teen pregnancies.

    Monday, Dec. 14, 1998

    With Jessica's eighteenth birthday looming on the horizon, Viki fears her daughter will never come home again if she catches sight of the wanted poster Clint issued. Will explains to Roseanne why he's decided to fight for shared custody of his child. Sam tells Nora he's concerned that fathering her unborn child has ruined their friendship which he's treasured for so long. Tea admits to Hank how her misguided love for Todd blinded her to the fact that he was faking the D.I.D. Viki reveals to an astonished Carlotta that Cristian is not the father of Jessica's baby. After she and Cris spot the flyer in a local market, an angry Jessica vows never to speak to her parents again. Sam sadly reminds Nora he would never have accommodated her request if he knew what a sacrifice it would ultimately entail.

    Friday, Dec. 11, 1998

    R.J. icily assures a suspicious Lisa and John that he had no prior knowledge of the drive-by shooting which nearly claimed Reverend Carpenter's life. As Will is released from the hospital, Sam advises Lindsey to go track down her husband before her marriage completely disintegrates. Meanwhile, Clint holes up in his office at the Banner and grouses to Bo about the way the wretched Rappaport kid has ruined Jessica's entire life. Following another strained encounter with Will and his parents, a resentful Roseanne begins to feel totally shut out. Nora gets an unpleasant reminder of the genetic pitfalls which could lie ahead if the child she's carrying should ever become seriously ill.

    Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998

    Overruling objections from both Kevin and Andrew, Cassie vehemently insists on keeping Barbara on as her private duty nurse. Clint rails at will and his father until a hospital security guard breaks up the quarrel. Later, Lindsey asks her husband where they stand and another loud argument ensues. Bo tells Nora he's sure now that Barbara killed Drew. Sam winces inwardly when will compares his feelings about Jessica to the "platonic" friendship his dad has with Nora. Guessing that John has been covering for Barbara because of intense pressure from Senator Graham, Bo speculates that Sikes is the anonymous tipster who has been feeding him bits of evidence for weeks. When Nora reminds him how Cassie swore that the shooter's eyes were brown, Bo muses over why a victim would lie to protect her attacker.

    Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998

    Kevin demands to know why Barbara seems devoted to spending every waking moment with his wife. At the mill house, Cassie informs Andrew through clenched teeth that she intends to make Barbara pay dearly for her crimes. Jessica assures Cris she's willing to rough it at the rustic cabin until her eighteenth birthday when they can be wed. In the emergency room, a worried Lindsey and Sam hover near their unconscious son. Meanwhile, out in the waiting room, Clint grows furious again wondering how long his wife has been hiding the truth about Jessica's pregnancy. After learning that will has pneumonia and strep throat, Lindsey tears into Roseanne. Jessica is hurt when Cris remains reluctant to get intimate with her.

    Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998

    R.J. is surprised to discover that he has something in common with the prickly Detective West. Kevin apologizes to Cassie for storming out of the house but reiterates his belief that sleeping in separate bedrooms would be a huge mistake. An angry Viki takes Clint to task for swearing out an arrest warrant on Cristian. Unwilling to let Cris take the rap for his son's mistake, Sam begins to unburden himself but Lindsey intervenes and puts a halt to his confession. As will's fever soars, Roseanne fears that he's developed pneumonia. After Tea rescues them from the cooler, will leaves a protesting Roseanne behind and lurches over to Llanfair. Though Kevin insists they can find new ways to express their love for one another, Cassie refuses to change her mind.

    Monday, Dec. 7, 1998

    Viki confides to Sam how angry she is with her runaway daughter. Meanwhile, Clint informs an uneasy Lindsey that he's just filed criminal charges against Cristian Vega. Determined to prevent will from confessing that he fathered Jessica's baby, Roseanne "accidentally" locks him and herself in the diner's walk-in cooler. Blair and Kelly squabble over office space as the battle begins for control of the Sun. Lindsey fears the consequences of her son's secret coming out as Clint rages about Cris taking cruel advantage of his virginal daughter. Roseanne suggests to a shivering will that destiny has thrown them together for a reason. Tired of being cooped up in the cabin, Cris begins to snipe at Jessica for letting herself get knocked up by her stepbrother.

    Friday, Dec. 4, 1998

    Sam reminds a protesting Lindsey that they owe it to Clint and Viki to provide them with the facts about Jessica and will. Joey cheerfully informs a rattled Barbara that he's going to dedicate himself to learning every little detail of her life, including her deep dark secrets. Kevin admits to Bo that he, too, found it strange when Cassie insisted on hiring Barbara--of all people--for her private duty nurse. Lindsey bitterly reminds her ex that it's not fair for him to force will to confess when he himself intends to carry his own dirty secret to the grave. At Club Indigo, an angry Tea snarls at Max for letting her make a fool of herself when he knew all along that Todd was faking the D.I.D. Andrew again urges Barbara to end her torture by turning herself in to the police.

    Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998

    A seething Lindsey snarls at Blair for prancing around half- naked in the house Sam shares with his impressionable teenaged son. Barbara reacts sharply when Bo tells Cassie he's certain Monk was not the person responsible for Drew's death. Although shocked by his son's confession, Sam reminds will that he loves him and tries to assure the unhappy boy that he understands how everyone makes mistakes during the course of their lives. Lindsey icily advises Blair to give up on Sam because he will always love Nora and only Nora. As Barbara holds her breath, Cassie informs Bo that she's suddenly remembered seeing the shooter's dark brown eyes through the holes in the ski mask.

    Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998

    Bo asks John for help tracking down his runaway niece. As Nora returns to the law office, a curious will quizzes his boss about how it feels to be pregnant. Blair drops by Sam's place unannounced and asks the attorney if they're really through. Tea goes hunting for an apartment and invites her niece to come move in with her once she gets settled. John promises Bo he'll conduct a discreet and unofficial search for Jessica and Cristian. Andrew reminds a grateful Tea he'll be there for her if she ever needs him. Roseanne informs Lindsey she'll keep will's secret, but only if she receives a "favor" in exchange. Puzzled by will's sudden interest in pregnancy and raising kids, Nora wonders if her young assistant is having girl trouble.

    Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998

    Sitting alone in the first class section of the plane, Todd stares glumly at photos of Starr and Tea. At Llanfair, Viki confides to Sam how upset she is about Jessica running away right on the heels of the awful revelations about Todd. Meanwhile, Cris and Jessica celebrate a quiet Thanksgiving in their cabin and make plans to be wed at City Hall as soon as the bride-to-be turns 18. Clint finally breaks his bad news to his father. As her family gathers for the holiday, Dorian proposes a toast to the Cramer women and their enduring spirit. The arrival of Max, Kevin and R.J. puts a damper on Dorian's Turkey Day, however, and sparks more controversy about the Sun being split between the Cramer cousins. Jessica finally phones home and tells her worried mother she's fine but won't come back until after she and Cris are married. En route to New York, Todd is startled by visits from "Tom", "Rod", and-- inevitably--"Pete".
