After visiting the grave of Dinah's dead baby, Hart turns to Buzz for advice on how to get Dinah out of his head. Buzz urges him to concentrate on his future with Cassie and not waste a moment of time. When Cassie reveals that she knows that Hart was not the father of her dead baby, Dinah tries valiantly to convince Cassie that she's wrong. Cassie boasts that she overheard Vanessa on the phone with her and forces Dinah to finally admit her lie. She begs her not to break his heart with the truth and then orders her to keep quiet as she eyes Hart's nearby handgun. Hart rushes in and steps in front of Cassie as she yells that Laura is not his baby. Dinah shoots Hart in the back.

Jesse backs away from Drew in shock as she offers her body to him in exchange for letting him out of his contract at Millennium. Though she eventually apologizes, Drew insists that she knows she is the only woman for him. Confiding that she can't make love to him because she doesn't love him, Michelle admits to Danny that she saw a side of him at Father Tomas' office she had never seen before. However, when he starts to kiss her again, she blasts him for failing to understand her. He then rushes out and confronts Jesse, ordering him to quit his new job or else he'll have him killed. Outraged that Vanessa wants her to keep Hart in the dark about the paternity of Dinah's dead baby, Cassie accuses her of having been Dinah's mentor and rushes to tell Hart the truth.

Shocked to find Jesse with Carmen as she announces him as her newest employee, Michelle states that she doesn' t want Jesse there to keep her company while her husband is out. Carmen ignores her and then offers Jesse a tour of the happy couple's bedroom. Danny suggests to Michelle that Jesse will leave them alone if he finds them in bed together. While Cassie welcomes everyone to the farm to meet the baby, Reva's upset to learn that Hart is with Dinah again. Cassie assures her that he's gone to deliver a message. She's shocked to overhear Vanessa reveal that Hart was not the father of Dinah's baby that died in childbirth. Meanwhile, Hart tells Dinah that he and Cassie don't want her to come to the farm ever again. When Jesse arrives, he announces that he's quitting Millennium to go work for the Santos family. Hurt and upset, Drew reminds him that he signed a contract but offers to let him out of it if he sleeps with her. Blake convinces Holly to check herself into a mental health facility, unaware that Ben is arranging to make her stay a permanent one.

Carmen calls Jesse to the mansion to discuss their agreement. Harley and Phillip surprise Buzz and the rest of the family with the news that Harley is pregnant. While Buzz is happy with the news, he's also reminded of the loss of Jenna and runs from the Towers. Harley and then Selena try to help an emotional Buzz deal with his feelings when he finally returns to the diner. Alan brings Ben to the jail to meet with Annie about her hopes for solving her legal problems. He advises her that she faces some 300-500 years in prison for all that she has done. Asking Alan to leave her cell, Ben listens to Annie's plan to pin her crimes on Alan in order to be free. He laughs at the idea and urges her to have faith that he can get her out of jail.

Matt becomes upset when Vanessa is distracted from their romantic dinner by Ross' appearance. He interrupts Ross' date with India to chastize him for leaving Dinah alone. He insists that she's gone to work. Meanwhile, Matt talks with a flirtatious Beth. While Reva holds Annie, Josh discovers the real Terri unconscious behind a screen in the hospital room. Annie insists that she is Terri but Reva won't let Rick believe her and points her out to Frank when he bursts into the room. Frank arrests Annie after she tries to seduce him. Ben walks in to Blake's place and finds her dress shredded and a guilty-looking Holly arguing with her daughter. After Holly leaves, Ben forces Blake to show him the nursery rhyme note Holly was planning to leave and reveals that her mother is the nursery rhyme stalker who tried to kill him.

Taking her and baby R.J. back to the farm and calling it home for all of them, Hart surprises Cassie by showing her a diamond engagement ring and asking her to marry him. Cassie happily accepts and is overwhelmed when he decides to give her his farm as a wedding gift. Ben is amused when Alexandra lets slip that Annie was hiding in the attic at the mansion. He announces to the couple that his price for helping Alan with his legal problems because of Annie has just gone up. When a smug Ben threatens to leave to catch his flight to Paris, Alan stops him in his tracks by offering to make him the head of Lewis oil. Annie sneaks into Terri's hospital room and shocks her by revealing who she really is and that she intends to keep her identity.

Up at Cross Creek, Hart takes a chance and convinces Cassie to listen to his apology and his latest news from Dinah. Shocked by what Dinah did to keep Hart, Cassie and Hart reunite and finally decide to name their baby Roger Joshua Jessup or R.J. in honor of Hart's father. Ben's touched when Blake reveals that she ordered her mother to stay away until she accepts him as her friend. As they talk and kiss, Holly stares through the living room window at them, mumbling threats and warnings to herself. Blake freaks out when she returns home and finds her deranged mother shredding her dresses. A stir crazy Annie pleads with Alan to get her out of the Spaulding attic. when that plea fails, Annie orders her lover to ship the real Terri out of town so that she can resume her identity.

India invites Beth and Vicky for coffee and uses the time to talk about her desires for Ross. Holly interrupts and takes India aside to threaten her if she goes near Ross again. Caught at the hospital while waiting for their first pre-natal appointment, Harley and Phillip are forced to tell Rick that Harley is pregnant. They ask him to keep their good news a secret for the time being. Rick later complains to Phillip about his sister marrying into the Santos' family. Ross is astounded to hear from Matt and Blake that Dinah took Vanessa's medication so that Hart would stay by her side. Seeing how upset Dinah is, Ross asks Vanessa why she never told him about her troubles.

Terri comes to in the hospital after being in a coma for six months. When Frank receives word about her recovery, he rushes to the hospital with Reva, Josh, and Terri's brother in tow. Frank questions his partner about the accident and Ten admits that she can't remember anything about her stay in Springfield. However, when Reva shows her a photo of Annie, Terri identifies her as her friend Tonia. Confronting Frank outside her hospital room, Reva finally gets through to Frank who fumes that Annie used him for months. He vows to put her behind bars for good and apologizes to Reva for not believing her. Reva and Frank convince George to keep his sister in town until Annie is captured.

After Carmen boasts that she expects plenty of grandchildren from her son and his new bride, Michelle finally comes to the realization that Danny is in love with her. she explains to him that they will never have a romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Jesse rushes back to Drew and Selena and boasts that he saw Michelle and kissed her. He quickly adds that he knows that Michelle still wants him. Frank vows to make Reva and Josh pay for the damage they have done to his partner. Realizing that Reva faces big trouble, Josh lies and confesses that he caused Tens coma. Ross stuns Josh with the news that tests show Terri's coma was caused by injuries suffered six months ago. Meanwhile, the real Terri begins to emerge from her coma.

While Reva confronts Alan outside the Spaulding attic, Annie hides behind a locked door. Reva pushes him to admit that she is alive and Alan finally claims to have sent Annie away from Springfield where she will be safe. Seeing how smug he is with the revelation, Reva boasts that Annie came back to Springfield because of Josh, not him. Annie hears this from inside the room and fears that Alan is going to turn her in. Downstairs, Frank explains to Alexandra that the Lewis's are claiming that Annie Dutton is alive and posing as Terri. Alan interrupts and confounds Reva by telling Frank that Reva is delusional. Jesse surprises Michelle with a kiss but she pulls back and insists that she doesn't want to leave her husband. Alexandra is shocked to come face-to-face with Annie.

Jesse ruins the breakfast at the Bauer house with the news that Michelle has married Danny Santos, son of mobster Carmen Santos. As he explains, Dietz arrives and invites the family to the country club so that the two families can celebrate the happy nuptials. As they leave, Drew and Selena arrive to learn from Jesse the latest about Michelle. Drew tries to convince Jesse to stay away from Danny and Michelle but he vows to ruin today's luncheon. Selena offers to help Drew win Jesse's love. Ross advises Reva and Josh as Frank warns the couple that they might be charged with harming the now-unconscious Terri. When Frank reveals the Bessler clinic staff didn't know anything about Terri, Josh insists that Annie brought Ten to her apartment and set them up.

After running back to give Matt another kiss to prove it's going to happen again, Beth takes a fall in the snow just outside his door and ends up back in the house with a hurt ankle. Alexandra is surprised to find Alan highly enthused about the future. Ben interrupts and informs them that he has gotten all charges dropped regarding the drug found in the safe. when Alan hands him a check and tells him that he has dropped the idea of finding Annie, Ben reminds him that he promised him the world for services rendered. Alan explains that Annie is dead but Ben rips up the check and warns that the next time he needs his legal services, it'll cost him plenty. Josh and Reva confront Frank at the station house and explain what they found at the Bessler clinic.

Jesse is astounded when Michelle refuses to leave with him. Carmen spoils the secret when she lets slip that Danny and Michelle claim to be married. Jesse doesn't believe it when Michelle stands proudly next to Danny and announces that she married Danny last night because she loves him. Michelle orders Jesse and Drew to get out but after they leave, she warns Danny to keep his hands off her. Carmen then orders Dietz to investigate the marriage, unaware that Drew is secretly listening. Susan calls her friend Katie back home and boasts that she's close to staying in Springfield for good if she can put her father with Harley. Hrley and Phillip decide to keep her pregnancy a secret for the time being. Phillip urges her to take some time off and cut back on what she is doing. Drew boasts to Selena with the good news that she's now got a chance with Jesse.

Reva and Josh are stunned to see the real Terri in a coma at the Bessler clinic. Told the lady in the bed is named Tonia and has only been visited by her twin sister Terri, they both realize that Annie is disguised as Terri back in Springfield. Acknowledging the work Matt has given him during his short stay, Sean announces that he is leaving town. Dinah interrupts his chat with Vanessa and Matt and insults her mother before blaming her for Hart running to Cassie's arms. Embarrassed, Sean escorts her outside and offers to take Dinah back to the island with him. Dinah refuses to go which causes Sean to worry aloud about the scars inside her which must heal. Inside, Matt and Vanessa start arguing again about Beth.

Josh and Reva arrive at the Bessler clinic and find the room where an unconscious Terri is staying. Alan confronts Terri at her apartment and boasts that he knows who she is. He announces that she is Annie Dutton. Terri denies it and tries to remain cool as he presents his proof to her. She then offers to help him forget Annie and kisses him passionately. After they make love, Terri confirms she is Annie. Warning that it's the only chance she has to stay alive, Danny brings Michelle home where he faces off against a threatening Dietz. Finally allowed to see "the boss," Michelle apologizes to Danny's mother Carmen and explains that she killed Mick because he was attacking her. Danny then tells his upset mother that he and Michelle are married.

Terri thanks Frank for believing her in the face of Reva's claims but he worries her when he admits that he's going to investigate some of her allegations. Annie quick'ly turns on the tears when he reminds her that he was not always in possession of the evidence as he claimed the other day and she argues forcibly that Annie is dead. When Dinah forces him to talk about the consequences of what she has done, Hart announces that he can't be with her anymore if he expects Cassie to let him back into her life. Dinah assures him that she is no threat to Cassie but Hart reports that Cassie fears Dinah will hurt the baby. Claiming they have a connection as husband and wife, Dinah pleads with Hart to stay with her but he denies their marriage means anything.

Phillip argues with Harley about the best course of action now that Susan is out of danger. He insists that she send her home with her father but Harley remains adamant about keeping her in Springfield. In her hospital room, Susan promises herself that she will put Harley and her father together as her parents. She then talks her father into taking Harley out for a nice dinner at a French restaurant. While Selena and Buzz try to calm down Drew, Danny rushes Michelle to the docks where Dietz confronts him and demands that he "get the job done." Danny assures him that he will take care of the problem and then surprises Michelle with his plan to fake her death in order to protect her.

Terri and Frank interrupt the Spaulding New Year's Eve party to question Alan about the drugging of Josh Lewis. Alan allows them to search the place which enables Frank to find the vial of the drug in the Spaulding safe. Taking Reva out to the greenhouse, Josh remembers Terri questioning him on Halloween and being unable to leave her. He then claims that Annie was there too. The two rush to the mansion where they announce that Annie is still alive and is in cahoots with Terri. Terri vehemently denies it. While Drew tells Selena what really happened to Mick on the beach the day he died, Danny pulls Michelle out to the alley and accuses her of killing his brother. He forces her to take him to the spot on the beach where she attacked him.
