Blake finally understands Ben when she learns that his adoptive mother scalded his face horribly. He refuses to blame Helen and even clears his real mother, insisting to Blake that Ross is responsible because he forced their mother to abandon him. As he talks, Ben reveals that there was a pattern of abuse, all at the hands of his alcoholic adoptive mother. Meanwhile, Ross enjoys his time with India who agrees with him that they not have a physical relationship. She encourages him to believe that he will have plenty of women to date once his divorce is final. Finding her on the beach where his brother's lifeless body was found, Danny talks with Michelle in hopes of learning more about what happened to his brother.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, "Guiding Light" will not air on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. At Cross Creek, Reva fears the worst when Cassie and Tammy fail to show for Thanksgiving on time. After a basket of food is delivered from Cassie, Reva reports to Josh that Cassie has left Springfield for good. When the cursed coin is found nearby, Reva worries that she fears Annie is going to hurt their family. Josh assures her that the bad times are over and they can look forward to a long and happy life together. Alan's disappointed when he's told that Ten will not be able to make it to the Spaulding Thanksgiving celebration. Vicky is annoyed to find Alexandra at the mansion for Thanksgiving. Dinah forces Terri to confess that she is really Annie. Reading one of the newspaper articles she finds in his place, Blake discovers that Ben was terribly scalded as a child on Thanksgiving by his adoptive mother Helen.

Dinah arranges for Hart's son to be flown in for the holidays and sends him to the airport to pick up Peter. At the airport Sean urges Cassie to change her mind and remain in Springfield with her family. When they run into each other at the airport, Cassie tells Hart that she cannot see him anymore. She then talks with Tammy about leaving town and moving on with their lives. Vanessa is disturbed when Matt admits that he confronted Beth about her argument earlier. The two then argue about whether Beth could be the stalker. Matt confronts Dinah about the fact that she started the fire that burned her face and warns her that Hart is not going to stay with her no matter what she does.

Still waiting for a room at the hotel, Phillip and Harley are shocked when two of New York's finest place them under arrest and take them to the mayor's office in City Hall. There, they find Alexandra has arranged all of this and realize that they will have family at their wedding. After updating Meta with what happened in court, Blake is surprised when Ross stops by to see the twins. she thanks him for calling her a good mother in court which enabled her to win temporary custody of the children. When Blake mistakes his appearance with a desire to get back together, Ross declares that their marriage and relationship is over. Saddened that he won't be with the kids, Ross says goodbye to Blake and then goes to his new home where he is caught off guard to find India Von Halkein set to use "her" shower.

Matt overhears Frank discuss with Terri his thinking that Beth is a likely stalker suspect. Matt jumps to her defense but Frank argues successfully that Beth lied about her date the night Vanessa was bitten by the spider. After yet another angry confrontation with Vanessa, Beth announces that she will be waiting once Matt realizes what a terrible decision he made in marrying Vanessa. Meanwhile, Lillian confides to Matt that she's concerned about Beth's strong feelings for him. Harley and Phillip arrive in New York five hours late and upset that their luggage has been lost. When they reach their hotel, they discover their reservation is missing and not a single room is available.

In the park, Terri orders Josh to tell Reva that he's in love with Cassie. When Josh fights her orders because it would destroy his marriage, Terri manages to convince him to make the confession to Reva. She then prepares the picnic lunch for her date with Alan and greets him with an apology for what happened the other day. Armed with the bracelet Dinah gave her, Reva confronts her sister and demands the truth about what happened last night. As the custody hearing begins, Blake admits on the stand that Ross is the best father ever and that she did have an affair with Ben.

Rocked by yet another threatening note from Jeffrey, Jenna complains to Harley about the thug trying to re-enter her life again. After Jenna promises herself that she will not allow him to harm her family, Harley pushes her to tell Buzz about the threat. When Harley leaks that she and Phillip are going to elope to New York, Jenna offers to calm Buzz once he finds out they got married without him. Buzz finda a letter and shouts that Jeffrey will not come near their son. Finding Beth with her baby, Vanessa accuses her of being the stalker. Beth offers Matt as her alibi which makes Vanessa complain about Beth always wanting to be with her husband. When Phillip complains about all the problems that have kept them from tying the knot, Rick guesses that he's going to elope.

In front of Hart and Dinah, Cassie tells Reva that Josh tried to take her to bed. Josh explains his attempts to help her get over Hart and insists that all his actions were innocent. Reva doesn't believe her sister. When Cassie asks Dinah to confirm what she heard, Dinah realizes the consequences of her statement and goes on the attack, accusing her of concocting this story to bring Hart running to protect her. An upset Cassie decides to move out. Teri has a close call when she is touched by some of the spiked cologne and tells Alan that she is Annie. Alan fails to understand what she is saying and eventually leaves when Teri demands he do so. While showering to remove the cologne, Teri realizes she must get Alan to fall in love with her.

Claiming to be her estranged husband, Matt jumps in to rescue Beth from Harve, a blind date gone wrong. When she thanks him, he finds that Beth is closer to him than ever. Josh confronts Cassie and claims that he cannot stop thinking about her. He kisses her but she pushes him back. He insists that he must make love to her but she manages to escape upstairs and calls Hart for help. Taking her home from the hospital, Hart promises Dinah that he will make her feel whole again. He sits her down in front of a roaring fire and starts to kiss her but they're interrupted by Cassie who pleads with him to come over and save her. Left alone by Matt, Vanessa freaks out when she's bitten by a spider.

Finding him suddenly interested in the police detective, Phillip questions Alan about his feelings for Teri. Alan confesses to his son and Harley that he has the feeling that his and Teri's paths have crossed somewhere before. Jenna tries to dispel his worries when Buzz confides that he has a sinking feeling that something terrible is going to happen. Jenna is frightnened later when she recieves a letter from Jeffrey. Frank reveals to Buzz that the drug they used on Ken is missing from the evidence room. Frnak is sickened when Teri presses for a closer relationship. Over champagne in front of a roaring fire, Vanessa and Matt kiss and make up. The nursery rhyme stalker pays an unsuspecting Vanessa a visit.

After a close call with Beth while cleaning Holly's house together, Matt rushes to see Vanessa. Meanwhile, Vanessa chats with Jenna about her marital problems. Hart is stunned when Dinah offers him annulment papers that free him from their marriage so he can run back to Cassie now that she is disfigured. Finding Dinah depressed, Lillian offers her some advice on how to deal with the scars on her face. Later, Hart tells Dinah he wants her to come home with him as his wife. Jesse calms down Drew at Millennium when her fear turns into rage aimed at a sloppy bartender. Drew worries that Michelle is going to go to the police about the incident with Mick on the beach. Jesse urges Michelle to keep to their agreement. Mick's brother Danny arrives in Springfield and starts looking for the person who killed his brother.

When Hart tries to persuade Dinah to come home with him, she claims that her life is ruined because her face is disfigured. Blake interrupts Ross at his office and pleads with him to give their marriage another chance. She boasts that she's no longer interested in Ben but he laughs at the idea. Ross then stuns a shaken Blake with the news that she is no longer an important part of his life. He then turns to an affectionate Anita for comfort. Cassie confides to a skeptical Harley about Josh's attempt to get too close to her last night by kissing her. Meanwhile, Terri spots Reva and Josh together and is furious that they are still as close as ever. Holly approaches Vanessa at Dinah's TV station and pleads with her to kill the story about the staged stalking at her house.

Though she's reluctant to leave her friends out of the ceremony, Harley agrees with Phillip to secretly make plans for their own private elopement. However, when they receive a mysterious phone call, the two worry that the stalker is still alive and threatening. Fearing that Drew and Michelle will be blamed for Mick's death, they scheme with Bill and Jesse to create an alibi for the night he was killed. Cassie is frightened when Josh enters her bedroom and states that he doesn't want to leave her alone tonight. After Tammy interrupts them, Josh comes to his senses and can't believe it when Cassie accuses him of coming on to her in her own bedroom. Cassie convinces him to leave and then urges Reva to spend more time with Josh.

Cassie is nervous when Josh starts rubbing her neck and assures her that she is a beautiful woman who doesn't need Hart in her life. Reva interrupts and is concerned to see the look on her sister's face. Josh whispers that Cassie doesn't need Hart anymore now that she has Reva and him in her life. Terri sneaks a peek and is amused to see her plan for Reva working so well but then finds Josh has suddenly stopped obeying her. Selena grabs her book filled with former "customer" names and confides to Abby that she's going to give the book to David so that he can determine who the father of her missing daughter is. Once David finds the man, he can ask the state adoption officials where their daughter is. Frank announces to Holly that he has some questions for her. She boasts that the disheveled house is proof that the stalker is still out there and pleads with him to release her brother from jail. Frank confides to Terri that this may not be the work of the stalker and then accuses Holly of faking the break-in herself.

Drew hits Mick with a rock as he struggles with Michelle. Stunned momentarily, Mick forgets about Michelle and goes after Drew. Michelle then knocks Mick out with a nearby rock. Drew and Michelle tell Jesse and Bill about part of their harrowing confrontation with Mick on the beach. When they go back to the site of the fight, the four are shocked to find Mick is gone. Vanessa is sickened when Dinah confesses that she set the fire to keep Hart with her. Hearing this, Matt calls her a psychopath and ends up arguing with Vanessa about Dinah's needs. Hart makes Dinah's day when he reveals that he has ended things with Cassie to make good their marriage vows. Terri pays another visit to Josh and manages to rub him again with the truth serum.

Before the big gathering at the diner to discuss the plans for the nuptials, Harley warns her father not to start a fight with Alan. When Alan and Buzz argue about the plan for Phillip and Harley's wedding, the engaged couple tires of all the intruding folks and decides to come up with a new, secret plan. Feeling guilty, Hart tells Cassie that he has changed his mind and will stay with Dinah because of his wedding vows. Pushing her to think positive, Sean tries to convince Dinah that her facial scar is not going to be as bad as she thinks it will be nor will she lose Hart. Ben presses Doris to move forward with the charges against Ross. He then pays Dinah a visit and gives her the name of a plastic surgeon he's used before in another burn case.

While Sean tries to cheer up Dinah with positive thoughts about her future, plastic surgeon Dr. Rosen warns Hart that Dinah's burns are so deep that she may be scarred for life. Finding Hart feeling guilty over the fire that injured Dinah, Sean lectures Hart about committing himself to a woman he doesn't really love. Harley continues to be troubled as her family insists on planning her wedding Pushing aside Jenna and her book of wedding invitation samples, Harley explains to Selena that she may have come up with a way to force the California courts to open up their adoption records to her. Annie, disguised as Terri, freaks out when Frank points out the original bottle of the truth serum is missing.

After being injured in the fire she started at Hart's farm, Dinah is rocked when she looks in the mirror and sees the terrible burn on her face. Realizing that she won't live with him if they're not married, Jesse surprises Michelle by asking her to marry him. Michelle replies that she is not going to marry him just to placate some people who don't like her living with her boyfriend. Reva interrupts Terri's final frustrating moments with a drugged Josh who can't remember anything that has happened. Terri sticks with her lie that she was seeking advice from Josh about Frank's advances. After Terri leaves, Reva lays into Josh for nearly taking her head off for butting in and suggests that he kiss and make up with her. After Mick's arrested for dealing drugs out of Millennium, he vows to get revenge.
