Felicia promises herself that if V doesn't give her first seven chapters the thumbs-up she'll toss the manuscript into the trash and never write another word. Tammy continues to make herself at home behind the counter at Kelly's. A troubled Sonny asks Luke how long it's been since he went home. Meanwhile, Stefan stops by to see Laura and confides that he finally feels like he requires no special invitation to drop in. A worried Ned urges Alexis to stop putting herself in jeopardy just to earn the respect of a group of family members who aren't worth the trouble. Concerned about Tammy's safety, Mike asks Mac to have his foot patrol officers keep a closer eye on the diner.

Alexis creeps onto Helena's yacht and snoops through her tiles. Nikolas and Lucky take Lesley Lu out for an afternoon at the skating rink. Encountering Helena as they make their way home along the docks, an irked Nikolas orders his grandmother never to approach his brother or sister again. Carly explains to a perturbed Jason how her apparent double cross was actually designed to save them and Michael from a miserable life on the run. Though Helena's henchman catches her on the yacht, Alexis manages to bluff her way out of trouble. A.J. appeals to Alan to help ensure that Monica will side with him in court instead of Jason.

Jax introduces himself to Helena, then makes the matriarch of the Cassadine clan a business proposition. A smiling Carly rushes to throw herself into Jason's arms but he fends her off by grabbing her wrists. Spotting A.J. enter the room, Carly abruptly shifts gears and shrilly orders a startled Jason to let go of her and return her stolen son. When his brother accuses him of kidnapping, Jason denies the charge but refuses to reveal Michael's location. After Felicia finds Michael in residence at the brownstone, Bobbie blurts out how Carly has been lying about the child's abduction. Marcus interrupts a tete-a-tete between Sonny and Moreno and advises both hoodlums to do the city a favor by bumping each other off.

Sonny returns to Port Charles and checks in with Luke, then informs Alexis that Jason is back. Meanwhile, Jason slips into the brownstone with Michael and explains to Bobbie how he and Carly originally planned to flee the country together. A seething Monica confronts Carly, who continues to claim that she has no idea where Jason is hiding. Sonny assures a wary Alexis that the coffee business he shares with her new client is strictly legit. Laura asks Luke to clarify exactly where she stands with him. Lucky reluctantly poses for Elizabeth as she practices sketching her first portrait. Laura tearfully reminds Luke she loves him, then expresses a hope that he still has enough feelings for her to try to work through their recent difficulties.

Felicia awakens with a killer hangover following her adventure being snowbound at the blues club. In the wake of the storm, Jerry apologetically explains to Bobbie how his car got stuck in a snowdrift on the way to the diner. As she and Amy clean up after Lulu's party, Laura sadly confides to her sister that her marriage has crumbled for real this time. Sonny returns to the tropics and warns Jason that Carly has double-crossed him. Tony complains to Mac about Jerry instituting a campaign of criminal harassment against him. Jerry is irked to discover that Stefan spent the previous night at Kelly's with his ex-wife. Amused by Jerry's display of jealousy, Bobbie suggests they make up for the Valentine's celebration they missed by rescheduling their romantic getaway.

Lucky calls his brother for help when the blizzard strands him and Elizabeth at the church. A frozen Felicia takes refuge with Luke at the empty blues club after her car dies along a snowbound street. Concerned that Alexis might have a concussion, Jax tries to keep her from falling asleep. As the power goes out all over town, Sonny is annoyed to find himself stuck waiting out the storm with Carly. Alexis admits to Jax how she tried to make amends with Stefan but had her peace offering resoundingly rejected. When Tammy joins the merry little band in the blues club, Felicia jumps at the chance to once more nag her new friend to give up the hard life of a hooker and take the job as manager of Kelly's.

Sonny finds Carly in the penthouse and informs the intruder he's going to make it his business to see that she never speaks to Jason again. Lucky brings Elizabeth to an empty church illuminated by dozens of candles. As they discuss the future, Lucky tells Elizabeth he wants to make her some promises in the presence of God. Emily finds herself stranded at the Port Charles Hotel when the blizzard disrupts her plans to attend the school dance. Though a jittery Carly claims she's been working A.J. in order to scan him and the rest of the Quartermaines, Sonny snarls at her to cut the crap. Bobbie waits at Kelly's for Jerry but Stefan shows up instead when the storm closes the roads.

Nikolas shows up at Katherine's door on Valentine's Day and informs his former lover that he no longer trusts her. After draping her grandmother's house with hearts and flowers, Elizabeth invites Lucky to share their private dance floor for one special night. Alexis suggests to a suspicious Stefan that they manage the family's holdings jointly with his son once Nikolas reaches the age of majority. Declaring that she is no longer his sister but his sworn enemy, Stefan icily informs Alexis that she's badly deluded if she imagines they can ever be one big happy family again. A seething Sonny confronts Carly and warns Michael's trembling mother that she may have just pushed Jason too far.

Edward promises Carly she will receive all the attention the mother of a Quartermaine deserves. Fed up with slinging hash, Luke entreats his sister to close Kelly's down. Emily offers to help an excited Elizabeth get ready for her valentine~s Day date with Lucky. Jax asks Alexis for some reassurances that she~s truly committed to their partnership. when Sonny strolls in, requesting an audience with his attorney, Alexis icily reminds the "retired" mobster that her representation of him in Dara's office was a one- shot deal which will not be repeated. Sonny persists, however, reminding Alexis of a debt she owes Jason which must now be repaid. Lucky confides to his mother how much he wants to make valentine's Day feel right for Elizabeth again.

Laura asks Luke if he really hates her so much that he would feed her son to a devil like Helena. When it becomes obvious how uncomfortable Elizabeth is around him, Nikolas realizes that she must have seen him in a liplock with Katherine out on the docks. Admitting how bizarre his relationship with his father's former fiancee must appear, Nikolas is pleased when Elizabeth assures him she's still his friend. Jerry warns Tony he's asking for some serious trouble if he bothers Bobbie again. Dara calls Sonny in to question him about Jason's disappearance and the apparent abduction of Michael Morgan. Though she resists Sonny's request at first, Alexis finally agrees to represent him and immediately threatens to sue Dara and the DA's entire office for harassment.

Luke is perturbed to learn that Alexis has struck a bargain with Jax. Reginald cautions his employers newest houseguest that she may not find life in the mansion too comfortable despite the gracious accommodations. Moving swiftly to do damage control, Stefan warns Laura that their son's secret is out in the open. Edward tells Carly he's offering a one million dollar reward for Michael's safe return. Nikolas bumps into Katherine and curtly informs his former lover that he's glad the world knows the truth about his parentage. Asking for the chance to be trusted again, Katherine begins kissing Nikolas just as a startled Elizabeth happens by. Stefan swears to Laura that he won't let Helena win.

Well aware that something is afoot, Lila asks Ned to tell her why everyone in the family is keeping a secret from her. Luke reluctantly takes over the morning shift at Kelly's when Bobbie returns to her nursing duties at GH. Miffed when "Roy" expresses a concern about her dangerous lifestyle, Tammy reminds Alan that he knew she was a hooker when they first met. V prevents a depressed Felicia from tossing the only copy of her novel into the fireplace. A torrent of unpleasant memories are unleashed for Elizabeth after she spots a poster announcing the annual Valentine's Day dance. Alan urges an irked Tammy to find something respectable to do with her life instead of selling her body to any man who has the price of admission.

Ned has to physically restrain an agitated Emily when Carly repeats her outrageous lies to the rest of the Quartermaines. At the penthouse, Marcus informs Sonny that Carly has filed a kidnapping charge against Jason. As Helena looks on, Alexis explains to Monica that the Cassadines accounts have been frozen by court order because Nikolas is not the true heir to the throne or the family fortune. Certain Luke set up the whole scenario as part of his warped revenge against her clan, Helena warns Alexis that her ploy to discredit Nikolas is doomed to fail. Ned and Emily decide to ask Sonny about Jason's untimely disappearance. caught off guard by Alexis betrayal, Stefan cautions Nikolas that they must quickly prepare for Helena's next move.

A.J. torments Carly by reminding her that the clock is ticking on the deadline for the court order. Jax comes upon Alexis and Luke in close conversation at the Grill. Nikolas explains to an exasperated Stefan why he won't accept any funds from a legacy which isn't rightfully his. Determined to salvage at least part of the Cassadine fortune for his stubborn son, Stefan considers putting the Andros Trust in his own name until Nikolas sees the light. Edward advises A.J. to change tactics with Carly before he pushes the excitable young woman too far. As Carly rails about being forced to start her life over in a strange new locale, Sonny reminds Michael's mother that it was her idea to leave town in the first place. Carly shows up at the Quartermaine Mansion with tears and claims that Jason has kidnapped her son.

Sonny informs an astonished Mike that Jason is not Michael's biological father. Confiding that she feels closer to her daughter than ever before, Bobbie thanks Carly for keeping her company as she went through Ruby's belongings. Expressing a hope that those warm feelings between them will only grow stronger in the years to come, Bobbie is surprised when Carly suddenly bursts into tears and clings to her mother as she sobs. A.J. tells Emily he's obtained another court order for a paternity test. Bobbie tenderly reminds Carly how very much alike they are. Emily urges A.J. to tear up the court order and leave Michael with the only father he's ever known.

As he and Bobbie sadly sort through Ruby's belongings, Luke tells his sister he believes Kelly's should be closed down permanently. Meanwhile, Elizabeth uses her key to let herself and Lucky into Kelly's so they can open the restaurant for the breakfast rush. Felicia reports to Mac how the plot for her novel has finally crystallized now that Tammy is on board. Sonny grumbles to an amused Jason about Mike doling out unsolicited advice which doesn't amount to a hill of coffee beans. Later, when Jason confides that he and Carly may soon need a place to hide out with Michael, Sonny offers to let him use the casino. Lucky comes to an understanding with his dad.

Stunned to learn of Ruby's passing, Laura offers her husband her condolences. Sonny introduces himself to Alexis and asks the attorney if she would consider handling a custody case for a friend of his. A.J. informs a bristling Carly he knows that Jason bribed a judge to get her released from Ferncliff. To Carly's utter dismay, A.J. hints that she'll be on her way right back to the funny farm the minute he takes custody of his son. Lucky fondly recalls for Elizabeth the warm welcome Ruby gave him when he first showed up on her doorstep several years ago. Bobbie greets a steady stream of grieving friends during the open house at Kelly's Declining Sonny's offer, Alexis brusquely advises him to find a lawyer with a track record in family court.
