Bobbie regretfully informs Lucky that Ruby is gone. Disclosing that Luke is already on his way home, Bobbie explains how she and Carly are preparing Kelly's for an open house to honor Ruby's memory in the very manner she herself requested. Jason fills Sonny in on how Luke abducted Lucky a few months back. Laura confides to Stefan that she still doesn't feel free of Luke even though he's left her. Jerry and Jax manage to distract Lucas while the boy's mother works on putting the memorial service together. Bobbie admits to Carly that there were times over the years when she was angry with Ruby for convincing her to give her infant daughter away.

Stefan gets wind of the fact that someone has been attempting to access the family's financial portfolio. Still posing as the Dutch gentleman who handles the Cassadines' accounts, Luke begins distributing large checks to various European charities. Bobbie is shocked to receive word that Ruby has passed away in her sleep. Jason warns A.J. that he'll do whatever is necessary to protect Michael from him and the rest of the Quartermaines. To A.J.'s surprise, Monica chimes in to support her elder son and asks Jason to prove his love for Michael by giving the boy up. Jerry advises his brother to use someone on the inside to bring the Cassadines' down.

Summoned to the penthouse, Benny tells Sonny how pleased he is to be called out of retirement to work with his favorite former boss. To his surprise, however, Jason and Sonny explain that they are now actually in the business of importing coffee--and nothing but coffee. A.J. arrives and hands his brother the court order for a blood test, then warns Jason he has just 48 hours in which to comply. After doing some research, Lucky suggests to Elizabeth that he hire her a model so she can get to work on her painting for the academy's admission exam. Encountering Katherine on the docks, Nikolas bitterly informs her he no longer cares if she tells the whole world about his real father's identity.

Felicia reminds Mac that he promised her he wouldn't overdo it during his first day back at the office. Meanwhile, Sonny warns Jason that the police commissioner probably considers him just another thug now that he and Robin are no longer an item. When Emily confides that she's going to Jason's to take pictures of Michael, A.J. realizes the time has come to drop a bombshell on his unsuspecting sister. At GH, Bobbie explains to an exasperated Monica why she believes Jason truly is Michael's father despite the fact that A.J. is the biological parent. Unable to believe that Jason and Robin could have lied to her for an entire year, Emily finds A.J.'s story extremely hard to swallow.

Alone at Windemere, Laura and Stefan share one lingering kiss which quickly leads to another. Lucky softly explains to Elizabeth how he can no longer imagine a future without her by his side. When he wonders aloud if she, too, can promise him her love forever, Elizabeth reassures Lucky she feels the same way and wants nothing more than to spend every day of her life with him. Bobbie swears Jerry to secrecy, then reveals what she's just learned about Michael's true parentage. As passion threatens to erupt, Stefan regretfully pulls away from Laura's hungry embrace. Dara rejects Tony's offer to endorse her candidacy for district attorney. Bobbie fills Jerry in on the checkered history of how Lucas came to be her son.

Ned confronts his cousin, warning A.J. that his latest ploy won't work for long but A.J. boasts that he will run ELQ until his son grows and can take over once he retires. At the penthouse, Carly whines to Jason that he's wasting precious time discussing business with Sonny when he would do better to spend every waking minute fighting to retain custody of Michael. Jason insists that setting up a legitimate business is going to help the custody fight. Later, Bobbie drops by and accuses her daughter of ruining Robin's relationship with Jason by using her own young son as a weapon. Curious about Emily's sudden reluctance to be around Nikolas, Lucky questions Elizabeth, who reveals that something upsetting happened to their mutual friend during her recent birthday party.

A.J. tells Edward that he is Michael's father. Once he recovers from the shock, Edward is pleased to realize that the Quartermaines now have new leverage in their battle for control of Michael's future. At the penthouse, Jason sadly describes for Sonny his final encounter with Robin. V congratulates Jax on deciding to work with Jerry in his quest to take over the Cassadine empire. Lucas is delighted when Jerry arrives in a private plane to pick him and Bobbie up at the diabetes clinic. Elizabeth warmly welcomes Lucky home as he returns to Port Charles. Recalling his own intense pain when Brenda betrayed him, Sonny listens sympathetically as Jason pours out his tale of woe.

Robin drops by the clinic to tell Alan that she's leaving for Paris. Jason consults with an attorney about the best way to fight A.J.'s demand for a new paternity test. Afterwards, musing on Robin's betrayal, Jason tells Sonny he feels like all he can do now is protect the people who are left in his life. Felicia invites Tammy over for a cup of tea, then informs her amused guest that she's decided to use her as the basis for her book's heroine. As Robin continues her round of farewells, Jax reminisces with his friend about the first time Brenda brought them all together. Later, Sonny offers Robin a strained and somewhat distant goodbye. A.J. drops a bombshell on his father, who is stunned to learn that Michael actually belongs to his oldest son.

A.J. breaks his astonishing news to Monica, who finds it difficult to fathom how Jason could have kept such a devastating secret. Hurt by his mother's automatic assumption that her favorite son could have done no wrong, A.J. bitterly informs Monica he doesn't give a damn what anyone in the family thinks of him because he's going to move heaven and earth to lay claim to his own flesh and blood. Meanwhile, Ned eavesdrops on his cousin's harangue and is intrigued to hear A.J. talking about a son. A panicked Carly faces Jason after her chat with A.J. and his with Robin. She warns Jason that he'll become completely irrelevant to Michael once A.J. gets the results of the blood test.

After a devastated Emily runs out of the room, Nikolas accuses Katherine of deliberately manipulating events so the girl would walk in on them in bed. Carly assures Jason that everything will work out fine now that they're going to be a real family without any outside interference. Stunned by Robin's revelation, A.J. rages at her for keeping the truth from him for so long. Though Robin offers him an apology, A.J. bitterly reminds her that she helped Jason rob him of that most precious first year of his sons life. Sonny appears at the Quartermaine mansion and cheerfully informs a glowering Edward that he intends to give ELQ his full attention as a member of the Board of Directors.

Stefan asks Tony for a progress report on his project involving Katherine. As the Quartermaines prepare for Emily's birthday party, Katherine is pleased to learn that Nikolas will be among the guests arriving at the mansion that evening. Robin tells Jason she's considering returning to Paris and re-enrolling at the Sorbonne. A.J. finds Carly packing up her things at the brownstone. After Robin departs, Jason sadly explains to Emily why he has to be with Michael and Carly. Carly boasts to a dismayed A.J. that she, Jason and Michael are all going to be living together in Justus' old penthouse. Tony assures an impatient Stefan he'll soon have all the information he requires on Helena's connection to Katherine. Robin reveals to A.J. that he is Michaels father.

Elizabeth brings Laura word that Lucky had to go out of town for a few days on business. Armed with more gifts, A.J. pays another "friendly" call on Carly and invites her to join him for a champagne brunch at the Port Charles Grill. Robin complains to Jason about the way he's been spending every night at the brownstone. When Jason insists that he can't leave Michael until he's old enough to understand the entire situation, Robin angrily reminds her boyfriend that years could pass before the boy is capable of comprehending the complex relationship his parents share. Stefan admits to Nikolas he's relishing the idea of being alone with Laura. Sonny drops by the Spencer house to reassure Laura that the assignment he gave Lucky was strictly legit.

Tony asks Felicia to help her with his appeal for custodial rights to Lucas but she regretfully refuses to sign his petition. Marcus heartily approves of Dara's decision to run for district attorney. Sonny observes with dismay a growing tension between Jason and Robin. Later, Robin is startled when Sonny guesses that Jason is not Michael's biological father. As Justus gloats to Dara about his chances for an easy victory in the next election, Marcus interrupts to remind the former city councilman that the voters won t look kindly upon a murderer taking high office. Felicia explains to an angry Tony why she won't support his cause. Robin entreats Sonny to help her convince Jason that joint custody of Michael will work but only if he stops catering to Carly's every whim.

Lucky tells Elizabeth that he's been thinking of ways to make their future financially secure. Jax again warns an exasperated Robin that if Sonny and Jason have come out of retirement she is once more right back in the line of fire. Meanwhile, Jason confides to Sonny that something has changed between him and Robin. After hearing the younger man's tale, Sonny explains to Jason why Robin would naturally feel shut out ever since Carly returned from the mental hospital. Nikolas reports to Stefan how Helena walked in on his "reconciliation" scene with Katherine. Jax reminds Robin that Jason's priorities are all about Michael, Carly, Sonny and the mob, while she gets the short end of the stick every time.

Lucky informs his mother that he knows another of her many secrets now that the identity of Nikolas father has been unveiled. Robin jumps between a bristling Sonny and Jax, accusing them of dishonoring the memory of the woman who loved them both. The quarrel goes on, however, and Jax coldly advises Sonny to crawl back under the same rock where he's been hiding since he left Brenda at the altar. Later, Jax warns Robin her life is heading for a train wreck if she stays with Jason in Sonny's world. A.J. brings Carly an armload of gifts to make her stay at the brownstone more palatable. A.J. Reminds Carly that he can introduce her and her son into the "right" circles.

Jax approaches Katherine with a business proposition. Bobbie tells Carly she and Lucas have to go out of town for a few weeks to join a pilot program at the Juvenile Diabetes Center. Sonny enjoys a warm reception from Robin as he returns to Port Charles. Stefan moves quickly to secure his holdings around the globe before word leaks out about Nikolas not being the true heir to the throne. Katherine agrees to help Jax topple the Cassadines financial empire. Stefan warns his son that Helena is extremely dangerous and will undoubtedly try to kill him once she learns his real parentage. Later, Nikolas reluctantly agrees to feign forgiveness and make up with Katherine in order to keep her from spilling the beans to Helena.

Mike nags his irritated son to stop brooding in his office and get some fresh air for a change. When Jason arrives, Sonny growls at him to take Mike and go. Robin asks Bobbie to use whatever influence she has with her daughter to rein Carly in before she wreaks any more havoc. Although sympathetic to the young woman's plight, Bobbie cautions Robin that she may have bigger problems than Carly if Jason refuses to surrender any part of his hold on Michael. Moreno reminds a skittish Justus that the shooting of the police commissioner led to the DA's resignation and opened the door to Attorney ward's election bid. Later, Justus promises Moreno that he'll have a friend for life if he's elected as Port Charles newest district attorney.

Nikolas decides to move back into Windemere. Realizing that Alexis has stumbled onto the truth about his son, Stefan faces his sister's wrath head on and wonders aloud if he has Luke to thank for breaking the big news. Katherine drops by Lucky's room over the bike shop in hopes of finding Nikolas there. After bumping into his grandmother on the pier, a seething Nikolas reads Helena the riot act. Jason hurries over to the brownstone to see Michael after Carly calls and claims that the baby has been crying non- stop for his daddy. When Carly enthusiastically embroiders on her lie to emphasize how desperately Michael needs his father, Jason agrees to spend the night on Bobbie's couch.

On Spoon Island, Laura tries to deflect some of Nikolas anger away from his sorrowing father. Armed with new information about one of the skeletons in the family's closet, Alexis gleefully taunts Helena, who is puzzled by the younger woman's sudden show of audacity in challenging her authority. Laura explains to her son why it was so necessary to hide the truth about his paternity in order to protect him from certain death. As Stefan chokes back tears, Laura informs Nikolas that his father sacrificed his one chance at having a family in a supreme show of loyalty and love. Alexis hints to Helena that her slain mother is about to have her long overdue revenge.
