Victor advises Kate that as long as Nicole did not tear up the $5 million check, then there is still a chance she may accept it. Lucas convinces Alice to support his efforts to win custody of his son tomorrow at the hearing. She urges him to fight hard for will. Taylor asks Nicole how she can marry Eric if she can't be true to herself. Eric surprises Nicole with a photo of their new house which features them in it. She agrees to take it with her on her trip to Chicago with Lucas but also takes Kate's check with her. Back home with Celeste, Vivian boasts that once she gains percent more of the company's stock, she'll own Titan. Celeste realizes that she is still in love with Victor.

Billie surprises Greta with a visit and an apology for urging her to lie to Bo about her baby. Greta reveals that she never got a chance to tell Hope about the compact. Relieved, Billie asks Greta not to tell Hope what she knows. Hope becomes nervous when she hears Bo and Lili talking about the art thefts. Bo learns from the Italian police inspector that there were no thefts around the date that Gina was in Capri. When Lili asks what Gina's presence has to do with the thefts, Bo admits he suspected that because of her relationship with Stefano, she might be involved with the stolen art. Lucas bumps into Eric at Salem Place but Eric decides not to tell him about his engagement.

Worried that her past could ruin things between them, Nicole mentions to Eric that he doesn't know everything about her. Assuming that she is not hiding anything, Eric assures her that he loves her and that the past is history. Kate calls Nikolai and asks her to meet with her. Kate visits with Victor and seeks advice from him on how to handle Nicole. Marlena becomes upset again when she spots Hope massaging John's temples again. Bo asks John if he has remembered the gift that Gina gave to him years ago but he doesn't. Hope thinks to herself that the gift was the inscribed silver compact. Hope decides she must find the compact to help trigger John's memory.

Nicole considers Eric and Lucas' offers of a happy life ever after. Comparing Lucas' promise of a life filled with riches beyond her wildest dreams to Eric's offer of love, Nicole finally decides that love is more important. Later, Nicole begins to panic when she realizes what would happen if the secrets from her past were exposed. Kate warns Lucas that she doubts that he'll be able to convince Nicole to marry him in 48 hours. Confident that he can do the impossible, Lucas boasts that he's taking Nicole on a business trip to Chicago tomorrow and plans to wine and dine her before asking for her hand in marriage. Taylor is secretly devastated when she finds out that Eric and Nicole are engaged.

Nancy slaps Ali and urges her to get a grip on herself when she hears her vow to get even with Carrie. She urges her to believe that Mike never did love her. Carrie and Mike have fun at the crap table as Mike keeps winning. Ali continues to take more photos of them together and snaps one as Mike kisses Carrie in a moment of excitement. During the "get to know Nicole" dinner, Nicole comments to an amused Lucas that his date Heather is very pretty. Eric suggests that Lucas forget about Nicole. He's pleased when Nicole talks about how great Eric has been to her. Heather's upset when she finds out from Lucas that he doesn't want to date her. After he confesses that he's just using her to make Nicole jealous, she calls him a creep and storms out of the restaurant.

Austin spots Lucas and Heather kissing and later learns that Lucas is planning on getting married but not to Heather who is just an old girlfriend of his. Nicole covers when Taylor tries to tell Eric about her kissing Lucas. Seeing her sister uncomfortable when Eric talks about meeting their mother tonight, Taylor calls her mother and hears that Nicole was not invited to the family dinner like she claimed. Hope stuns Billie with the news that she and Bo are not going to get married. She apologizes to Billie and claims that she thinks Bo is still in love with her. John advises Bo that he doubts that Gina was in love with Stefano but thinks that she was in love with him.

A pleased Kate learns from Billie about Roberto's relapse. However, she starts to panic when Billie reveals that Roman's suspicious of the relapse and intends to investigate what happened. She reveals all she knows to victor and mentions Lucas' interest in Nicole. She also adds that she's contacted Heather, a young attorney Lucas used to date. Taylor is pleased to hear that her photos will be used in the next issue of Brava. She is shocked to see Nicole kissing Lucas but fails to hear Nicole tell Lucas that she only wants to be friends with him because she loves Eric. Taylor then gleefully informs her sister that she can't wait to leak to Eric that she saw her kissing Lucas.

Roberto explains privately to his sister that a very powerful person is paying for him to keep his mouth shut. She urges him to help "Captain Brady" for the sake of their mother. Kate worries that if Sami is freed, she will continue to black mail her and ruin her family's lives. Kate then sneaks into Roberto's room and fills a hypodermic needle with saline solution him to stop breathing. Bo shows John and Greta the photo of Hope and Stefano. John claims that Gina never loved Stefano. Stefano is furious to hear that Hope shipped away Bo's son. She convinces Stefano that she should stay with Lily for the time being.

Austin punches the bag during a workout and can't stop thinking about Carrie. Carrie calls Austin's cell phone but can't get through. She begins to wonder if he's avoiding her. Mike reminds her that they can't move on with their relationship until she takes care of her marriage. Roman pays Sami a visit and gives her the bad news that Roberto refuses to talk. She fantasizes that Austin is now part of her family. Disguised as a nurse, Kate offers a deal to Roberto, offering him money for the rest of his life if he'll only keep his mouth shut. He agrees but they are interrupted by Roman. Roman bring Roberto's sister Rosa to see him. Finding his boss talking about the love he has for Gina, Rolf warns Stefano that he better keep a grip on his feelings for this Gina because he was in love with the real princess.

Austin assures Marlena that he didn't break his marriage vows. when she argues that he did and points out his hiding with Sami as proof, Austin goes on the attack and reminds her of the affair that Marlena had with John. He Quickly adds that it's obvious to him that Carrie is having an affair with Mike. Marlena pleads with him to call Carrie but he walks out. when Mike insists that Austin will not reject her, Carrie agrees to call Austin. Nicole worries to Eric that she hasn't worked much lately. Lucas interrupts and suggests that he'll have plenty of modeling jobs for her. Eric boasts to Lucas that he and Nicole are a team and she cannot be bought.

Caroline wonders aloud to Alice what has gotten into Hope that has caused her to act so differently. Alice suggests that Hope simply needs more time. Carrie and Mike arrive at an Arizona hospital. Carrie calls for her messages but hears none from Austin. She then reads a newspaper article about Sami turning herself in to the police and that Austin has been cleared of all charges. A guilt-ridden Carrie learns that Austin was updated on her trip to the conference with Mike. On the way back to Salem, Greta dreams about her mother dancing in the bar earlier. She then mentions to John that no one recognized his picture when they showed it around Capri.

Roman and Billie enter Roberto's hospital room to question him further. Roberto blasts Billie for lying to him. Roman asks him to name the hit man who killed Franco but Roberto claims that he is concerned that his family could suffer if he names names and decides not to tell what he knows. Kate argues with her son about Sami's future as Lucas claims that no one, including Sami deserves to die. He guesses that Roman's offer of safety will eventually loosen Roberto's tongue. Sami's thrilled when Austin arrives for a visit at the prison. He reveals that Carrie has gone to a medical conference with Mike but tells her he is thinking positive that he will be awarded custody of little will.

While arguing about Lucas, Nicole admits to Eric that she doesn't want to leave Titan because of Lucas' efforts to enhance her career. Eric warns her that Lucas can't be trusted and adds that if she gets on his bad side, she should watch out. Hearing this, Nicole shows signs of panic as she remembers turning down Lucas' marriage proposal. Taylor confronts Lucas about her photo session and asks if he really intends to use her photos in the magazine as promised. He assures her that they will be in the magazine. He then goes on about his feelings for Nicole. Taylor notices the file folder with Nicole's name on it and tries to get a peak at its contents. Continuing on toward the west coast medical conference, Mike and Carrie are confounded when they are pulled over for speeding.

Marlena worries when she hears from John how sick~ Vivian is. John reveals that his research has shown that his nanny died in 1987. she hypnotizes John and tells him to go back to the time he was at the Capri hotel. On the flight to Capri, Hope thinks back and remembers removing a painting, knocking a man out and stealing his boat. Greta and Bo have fun at a water fountain and eating ices. Afterwards, she makes a wish. Bo's pleased to learn that a search warrant has been issued for the hotel. When Stefano claims he can't go against Kristen's the moving company and pack everything because they are moving out.
