As Opal prepares for the official grand re-opening of the Glamourama, Erica attempts to make her angry friend understand why she cast her vote the way she did. certain Marian put Scott up to pushing for control of his trust fund, Adam asks his nephew if the request was his own idea. Mateo overhears Gillian confiding her secret to Becca but mistakenly assumes she is speaking about Ryan and Raquel. Scott asks Adam to teach him all about high finance so he can have all the money he needs to make his cinematic dreams come true. Though Opal accuses her of destroying Petie's entire future, Erica reminds her pal that Adrian's heart never was set on the corporate life in the first place. Marian encounters more flack from her snobbish peers as they express disgust at her selection of Stuart as a suitable mate.

Ryan warns Hayley that their kiss was witnessed by Gillian. Though Becca is thrilled to learn of Dixie's pregnancy, Tad cautions his wife not to share their news with too many more people outside of the family. Mateo bumps into Hayley in the park and confides how much he's missed her since she moved out. Edmund advises Gillian to quickly resolve her problem because secrets have a habit of coming out at the very worst time and in the worst possible way. Dixie tells Tad she can't keep her wonderful secret to herself any longer because the baby is as real to her as Junior or Jamie. Mateo and Hayley ponder their uncertain future. Jackson agrees to help Edmund run the philanthropic foundation named for his late wife.

Gillian's already low spirits hit rock bottom after spying Jake giving Hayley a comforting hug. Meanwhile, at 5O5, Mateo offers an obviously agitated Ryan a sympathetic ear. As David eagerly anticipates a dinner date with Erica, Leslie advises her favorite client to leave the queen of Enchantment alone and look her way instead if he wants a real woman in his life. Marian reminds Stuart that their true agenda in having his brother to dinner is to get Adam to release Scott's trust fund. Myrtle encourages a disheartened Gillian to believe that things will turn out right in the end. Ryan's guilt intensifies after Mateo asks for his help ferreting out the reason Hayley suddenly seems so distant.

During a family picnic at the lake, Tad gloomily confides to Jake how determined Dixie already is to carry her unborn child to term. On her first visit to the Salsa club, Becca is thrilled to learn that C-Note and Elvis Crespo are slated to perform. Stunned to overhear her father arguing with Trevor, Hayley furiously accuses Adam of trashing her whole life with his eternal meddling. Stuart offers Ryan his sympathy upon learning that the young man's divorce has become final. With his trusty video camera at the ready, Scott coaxes stories of heartache from several of the patrons celebrating the Fourth of July at SOS.
