Due to the Memorial Day holiday, there will be no summary of "The Bold and the Beautiful" on Monday, May 31. Adam invites Trevor from the Pediatric AIDS Foundation to the Spectra offices and then enlists Sally's help in tricking the man to include them in the upcoming fashion show charity event. When Trevor questions the idea that Eric enlisted their help with the show, Sally insists that he insisted on it and then boasts that Clarke Garrison is coming back to help design the show for the project. To convince Trevor of their determination, Adam gives him a check for $50,000. Meanwhile, C.J. surprises his father by asking Clarke to come back to work at Spectra. Clarke explains that he can't work there which hurts his son. After convincing Macy to order oysters at the Cafe Russe, Thorne waits nervously for her to find the engagement ring he asked to have hidden in one of the shells.

Sally informs C.J. that without a designer, they cannot hope to compete with Forrester or anyone else. When she reveals that she asked Clarke for help but he turned down the offer, C.J. decides to ask his father himself. Sally suggests that he stay out of this but C.J. insists that he is old enough to be able to help. He heads over to Forrester and surprises his father in his office. Macy and Thorne have lunch together at the Cafe Russe. Thorne excuses himself and makes an arrangement with the manager of the restaurant. When he returns to the table, the two discuss Macy's concerns about her father and his hatred for Thorne. Thorne claims that he has come up with a way to win Adam's approval and then orders champagne and oysters for the two of them. Brooke demands to know if Rick feels the same about Amber as he does for Kimberly.

Though she claims that she will never be comfortable with hiding the truth from Rick; Amber confides to her mother that she thinks it is best for the infant to be raised by them. When Amber starts to call to make an appointment to have blood drawn for a AIDS test, Tawny quickly warns her that the baby can't be tested because it will show that she and Rick are not the child's parents. Brooke is shocked when she arrives at the guest house and finds that Amber and her mother are still living there. She orders them to get out but Amber stuns her with the news that Rick has made his decision and wants them to remain married. Rick enters and confirms that he wants Amber to help him raise their son. Bouncy and perky when she shows up for work at Spectra, Macy boasts to her parents that she is in a great mood.

Claiming that he would have married her right away if they had determined that it was his child, Rick lectures Amber that lies only make problems worse. Brooke sneaks up to the guest house window and watches Amber and Rick talking. She then spots Ridge taking a late-night skinny dip and decides to have a little fun with him by taking his towel. Once he retrieves his towel, Ridge congratulates Brooke on getting to the bottom of Amber's scheme. Amber tries to tell Rick about the baby but he continues to interrupt her. He then stuns her with his decision that they are going to remain married for the sake of their baby. Seeing two champagne glasses and an empty bottle of champagne near his hot tub, Macy assumes he had a date and wishes Thorne a good night.

Amber struggles to tell Stephanie the truth about the baby but when she can't spit it out, Tawny steps in and distracts Stephanie until Rick arrives. He demands that they leave so he can talk with his wife. When Amber thanks Rick for coming back, he angrily asks her to stop being so dramatic. He reveals that he was tested for H.I.V. earlier and blasts his wife for telling the doctor and not him. When she defends her daughter, Rick orders Tawny to get out. Admitting that his test result was negative, Rick lectures Amber about sleeping with strangers or others who have not been tested and blasts her for putting his life and their child's life in danger. Brooke surprises Thorne at his beach place after a swim in the ocean and talks about her confrontation with Amber and her hope that Rick will soon be rid of his wife.

Alone with Stephanie, Brooke remains certain that Rick's marriage is over. Stephanie admits that she can't help wondering what's going to happen to the baby. The two end up arguing about Amber's intentions with Stephanie asserting that Amber's love for Rick was genuine. However, she doesn't agree with the way Amber handled it. Brooke announces that she thinks Amber was driven by greed and is going to be out of their lives very soon. Dr. Wilson has Rick's blood drawn so that he can be tested for HIV. He explains to the doctor that Amber cheated on him before they were married and concurs that he could be infected. Wilson also reveals that teenage girls are the fastest rising segment of the population that is being found with HIV.

Tawny does her best to defend her daughter's night with Raymond and ignores Brooke and Rick's worries that he and their baby might become infected with HIV. When Brooke insists that the thing to do now is to annul the marriage, Tawny reminds her that Rick had ended things with Amber before she slept with Raymond. Brooke asks why Amber left town to have the baby if she wasn't trying to keep secret her one-night stand. Tawny claims she was trying to protect Brooke and the others. Brooke advises Rick to come home with her. Amber apologizes to him but Rick announces that he can't stand the sight of her and storms out. C.J. and Kimberly have a good time at Macy's disco party at the Insomnia.

C.J. finds his mother at her office with Darla and explains his fear that Brooke is going to tell the Forrester family about Amber's infidelity with Raymond. When she mentions that Macy is throwing a disco party for Kimberly at the Insomnia, C.J. races out to get dressed for the party. Sally worries to Darla about the complications of her son becoming involved with Kimberly. At the Insomnia Kimberly is amused by the set up for Macy's disco party. As Macy greets her, Jed and a host of other guys ask Kimberly to dance. C.J. enters and spots Kimberly dancing with them. When he complains, Macy realizes that her brother is attracted to her. C.J. finally pulls Kimberly away from her school friends so they can spend time together. When he mentions Rick; she interrupts and asserts that she doesn't want to talk about him since she has decided to move on with her life.

Brooke announces to Eric and Stephanie that it is time to end the biggest con game that anyone has ever played on the Forrester family. She claims that Amber has lied about her baby and when Stephanie states that it's obvious Rick Jr. is not Raymond Jr., Brooke reveals that Amber spent the night with Raymond the day before she and Rick ran up to the cabin at Big Bear to be together. While she assures the two stunned Forrester's that she won' t abandon the baby, Brooke announces that it is time that Amber get out. Relieved to hear that Rick has been at the Insomnia for awhile and thus has not heard Brooke yet, a concerned C.J. approaches Rick about his fear that Brooke is going to ruin his marriage. Rick explains that his mother is just trying to protect him but assures his friend that Amber has done nothing wrong.

Thorne can't believe it when Brooke explains her guess that Amber slept with Raymond and could have delivered his baby. Brooke admits that Amber didn't say it was true but claims that she saw it in her eyes. Revealing that she's heading to Genoa City to check on their deal with Newman Industries, Brooke is amused when Thorne offers her a quick make over to cheer her up and then encourages her to enjoy life. C.J. reports to Sally that Amber is back in town with her baby and her mother. When sally claims she's happy for Rick; both Lauren and Adam doubt that she has changed her opinion since the wedding. When C.J. claims that Rick seems happy with the whole situation, Adam quickly admits he's relieved by the news.

Still working on his song about Kimberly, Rick tells himself over and over again that he is married to Amber and they have a son. Brooke confronts Amber and her mother and boasts that she knows the terrible secret about the baby and why Amber couldn't give birth with anyone around. Tawny chastises Brooke but she continues to accuse Amber of marrying Rick without knowing if he was really the father of her unborn baby. Amber shouts that Rick is the father and has always been the father. Wearing a tuxedo, C.J. gives Kimberly a laugh when he arrives at her door with picnic basket in hand. Claiming that she wouldn't go to the prom, C.J. announces that he has brought the prom to her. When she asks who his real date was, C.J. admits he wanted to take her.

Though Eric worries about Amber traveling the day after giving birth, Rick assures him that she sounded tired but okay on the phone. Ridge takes Rick aside and talks to him about what he felt the first time he met Thomas. He forces Rick to reveal that he was with Kimberly earlier but then refuses to say anything more. Meanwhile, Stephanie urges Brooke not to ruin this special occasion by talking about whether Amber may have cheated on her son. On the drive back to Los Angeles, Tawny is forced to pull over when Amber becomes sick to her stomach. She encourages her worried daughter to have faith that she can fool Rick and everyone else into thinking that her baby is really Rick Jr. Finding Kimberly nervous, Myles asks her what she's worried about.

At Spectra a pacing Raymond is overjoyed when C.J. reveals that Amber delivered Rick's baby, not his. Brooke insists to Ridge, Eric and Taylor that Amber is lying to her son about who fathered the baby she is carrying and vows to prove to Rick that Amber cheated on him. Rick calls with the news that Amber gave birth at her mother's place. Brooke struggles to hold back the tears as Rick then states that it is his baby, not Raymond's. Arriving at the mansion, Rick reveals to Stephanie that Amber delivered their son. Stephanie quickly embraces him and offers her congratulations on becoming a father for the first time. They're interrupted by Brooke, Eric, Ridge and Taylor. While Brooke stands silently to the side, everyone offers their congratulations and advice.
