Friday, April 30, 1999 When he asks why she hasn't returned Jack Abbott's call, Brooke explains to Ridge that she's concerned that Newman may cancel the fragrance deal. She adds that she is talking with the company's legal department about their options but then changes the subject and claims that she is too concerned about Rick to deal with Jack right now. Ridge is surprised when Brooke announces that she thinks Amber is carrying another man's baby. She goes on to say she has a feeling that Amber has already given birth out at her mother's place. Ridge asks if she has any proof and then warns her that she is going to hurt a lot of people, especially herself. Amber again refuses to consider the idea of using her cousin's baby as her own. Tawny takes her daughter to a graveyard where they bury Amber's baby. Wednesday, April 28, 1999Finally getting some sleep after the birth of her stillborn baby, Amber suffers a nightmare in which she returns to the Forrester mansion to face Rick; Stephanie and Brooke. Meanwhile, Tawny tells Sarah that it will be best for all if she gives Amber the baby her niece just delivered. The midwife argues against it but Tawny insists that it will be better than having the child raised in an institution. When she pages him, Rick rushes to Kimberly's place and reveals that Amber is coming home today. He also explains that his mother thinks that Amber may have slept with Raymond and could be carrying his baby. After Rick explains the situation nine months ago, Kimberly hopefully reminds Rick what this could mean to them if Brooke is right. Brooke argues with Stephanie and boasts that her interfering in Rick's marriage will not cost her his love but will actually save him. Tuesday, April 27, 1999Tawny tries to convince a still-crying Amber that the death of her baby is not her fault. She urges her daughter to return home and tell Rick everything. When Amber worries that Rick will end their marriage, Tawny suggests that Rick is not the kind of guy to back out on a promise to be with her for the rest of their lives. Anxious to find out if Amber has given birth, C.J. stops by Rick's place and tentatively questions his friend about his wife. He convinces Rick to call Tawny's place but when he gets her answering machine, Rick leaves a tender message for his wife, assuring her that he loves her. Tawny gets an idea when she learns from Sarah that her latest home birth is with a teenager who is giving up her new born. Monday, April 26, 1999Sarah and Tawny stand nearby as a devastated Amber holds her lifeless baby and talks to him. When Amber starts blaming herself for the death of her baby, both Tawny and Sarah urge her to believe that she is not responsible. Tawny then convinces her daughter to let go of the body, urging her to believe that Eric Jr. will be with her always. Tawny then takes the body of the infant and gives it to Sarah while Amber falls back into bed, crying hysterically over her loss. Touched when Stephanie talks up Amber to him, Rick asks her why she's always so supportive of Amber. Stephanie explains that she likes Amber's courage and reminds him of when Amber stood up to Sheila and attacked her to protect Stephanie. Monday, April 19, 1999Though C.J. and Raymond worry about the close call they had with Brooke at Spectra, Sally guesses that one way or another, Brooke will uncover Amber's secret. C.J. decides that they should warn Amber and calls her mother's place. When he gets past Tawny, C.J. listens as Amber admits that she is in labor but won't be going to the hospital. Meanwhile, Sally lectures Raymond on the mistake of having unprotected sex. Raymond assures her that he has learned his lesson. Brooke confides to Ridge that she thinks Amber has a secret that has something to do with the baby she is carrying. She surprises him by revealing her feeling that Sally and C.J. have something to do with the secret. Though Ridge guesses that Rick will make his marriage work, Brooke sadly comments that Rick must be in a great deal of pain because he is in love with someone other than his wife. Thursday, April 15, 1999Tawny's family pesters Rick and Amber with questions about their new life together in Beverly Hills. Rick interrupts and reminds Amber that it's time they hit the road. Tawny comes up with food as an excuse to stay and boasts that plenty has been ordered for their impromptu party. when Rick agrees to stay, Dale asks Amber to sing a song. Afterwards, Rick asks Amber to get her things together so they can leave. Feeling a contraction, Amber realizes she can't leave but decides not to tell Rick that she might be in labor. Brooke arrives at Kimberly's place and asks her if she thinks Amber might be hiding a secret from her. Kimberly can't imagine so but Brooke reveals that Amber suddenly left town and she wonders what she might be hiding. Kimberly suggests she talk with Sally who had wanted to make an announcement at the wedding. Wednesday, April 14, 1999Tawny worries when Rick announces that he's leaving and will be taking Amber with him back to L.A. Begging him to give her a chance to have the life she's always wanted, Amber convinces Raymond that she will contact him once she delivers the baby. She returns to the mobile home where she finds Rick ready to take her home. Amber creates an excuse to stay but Rick counters that Brooke is suspicious of her and her sudden trip. Amber complains about Rick's mother and wonders why he really came out to Furnace Creek. As they argue, Tawny's brother and family arrive and Tawny insists that they stay and have a party. Kimberly is wide-eyed as C.J. kisses her and quickly pulls away. She assures him that he's not to blame and claims that she is not ready for that kind of relationship with anyone. Monday, April 12, 1999Though C.J. wonders what Raymond may do when he confronts Amber at her mother's place, sally assures him that he did the right thing giving out the address. C.J. worries that having Raymond's baby will cost Amber dearly. Thorne asks Brooke about her relationship with Pierce. When she tries to evade the question, he guesses that she kissed him and encourages her to have fun with him. While she admits that she intends to go out with him again, she states that she's too concerned about Rick right now to consider a future with Pierce. Thorne asks her to think about what she'll do once she approves of Amber. When she admits it will be difficult to change her opinion of Rick's wife, Thorne warns her about filling her life with anger instead of fun. Friday, April 9, 1999 When Eric and Stephanie learn that Amber has suddenly left town to spend time with her mother, Brooke guesses that she's hiding something and wonders if she and Rick are having problems. Rick insists that everything is fine between them. After Eric and Stephanie leave, Brooke gets Rick to talk about his frustration with Amber for leaving without telling him. She suggests that Rick go to Furnace Creek and be with Amber. She enlists Megan's help in finding the address as Rick agrees to go. Amber and Tawny discuss Amber's childhood and Tawny's hope that her daughter will be a better mother. Amber assures her mother that she did the best she could. She then hints that she's been dreaming of going back to Los Angeles with Rick's baby and building a happy family together. Thursday, April 8, 1999Rick calls and leaves a message for Amber on Tawny's answering machine. Tawny introduces her daughter to Sarah, a registered midwife. When Amber admits her concern over the birth of her baby, Sarah assures her that she has delivered hundreds of healthy baby. Amber freaks when Sarah reveals she knows about the paternity problem. Tawny tries to calm Amber down and Sarah suggests they go to the hospital today and take a test to answer who the father is. Amber refuses, for Rick's sake. Sarah warns Amber that she is dilating and could deliver any day now. Eric is outraged when Rick reveals that Amber has left town to be with her mother. He lectures his son that it's too close to the baby's birth to allow Amber to go far from her doctor. Wednesday, April 7, 1999When Brooke playfully accuses Pierce of propositioning her, he calls it an invitation and adds that his driver has left for the night. While he does offer her the guest room, he then boasts that it would be much more fun to sleep together. Brooke asks if he's following his own advice on responsibility in sexual matters and Pierce responds by insisting that he's following another of his rules to grab for what you want once you determine what that is. Brooke finally agrees to stay the night but in the guest room. Rick catches Stephanie off guard by revealing that Myles is Sally's first husband. As she ponders the consequences, Rick wonders how C.J.'s going to react. Meanwhile, as Sally and Macy go looking for C.J., the teen punches Myles and vows to protect his family from the "selfish loser." Tuesday, April 6, 1999Still having dinner, Brooke thanks Ridge, Pierce and Taylor for their kind words of support but insists that she is not an emotional cripple and will get through this problem. However, she will have to do it on her own. As the evening breaks up and Pierce takes Brooke home, Taylor asks Ridge how he feels about Pierce dating Brooke. When Ridge admits he's still a bit bothered by the pairing, Taylor urges her husband to let it go. Meanwhile, Pierce takes Brooke back to his place for a nightcap and invites her to stay the night with him. Commenting on her growing relationship with Thorne, Sally reminds Macy about the pain she went through the last time they were together. She then admits that she's concerned that C.J. Monday, April 5, 1999Tawny is shocked by the news that Amber doesn't know who fathered her unborn baby and wonders aloud why Rick hasn't kicked her out. Admitting that Rick doesn't know about her night with Raymond, Amber confounds her mother further by revealing that everyone will know it's Raymond's baby because he's black. She's afraid of hurting Rick by allowing him to be present when the baby is born. Tawny comforts her daughter and assures her that she can stay there until the baby is born. While having coffee with Thorne at the Insomnia, Macy admits how thrilled she is to finally have her family back together. She thanks Thorne for helping to put a smile on her face and then takes to the stage to sing a song. Afterwards, Thorne thanks her for the song in his honor and kisses her. Thursday, April 1, 1999Taylor suggests to Ridge that he leave work early to come home but he mentions that Brooke's pushing him to finish some designs. she guesses that Brooke is using work to compensate for the pain she is feeling now that she knows Ridge can't be with her. calling that outlook unhealthy, Taylor suggests that they invite her out to dinner tonight. Taylor then runs with the idea to Brooke's office and invites her out. Brooke turns down the offer and then complains to Thorne about the invitation. Thorne suggests that she use the dinner invitation to prove to Ridge, Taylor and herself that she is strong. But he suggests that she bring Pierce as her date.
