Due to the Memorial Day holiday, there will be no summary of "As the World Turns" on Monday, May 31. Carly hints to Molly that "Reid" may be able to end Jack's relationship with Julia but Molly boasts that "Reid's" got eyes for her, not Julia. She compares her feelings for "Reid" with those for Andy and confesses that she can't stop thinking about David when she's with the psychiatrist. After kissing her passionately, "Reid" tells Julia that he has strong feelings for her. Julia fails to return those feelings. Meanwhile, Charlotte tries to convince Jack that Julia doesn't love him. He rushes to the stables to find Julia. Expecting "Reid" to return to her to continue their romance, Molly is shocked to find Andy at her hotel room door.

Molly listens when Venus the hotel room maid reads her cards and announces that her future lies with a dead man. Alec shows Georgia the numerous newspaper reviews of the success of the appearance of 98 Degrees at the Oasis. Eddie somberly stops by and reveals that Alec's P.I. told him that the man in the photo with Deena has been dead for years. He's unaware that Alec paid the man off to keep his secret. Camille convinces Sara Ruth to apologize to Alec by revealing that he owns a number of nightclubs around the country. She assures Alec that her group will stop picketing the Oasis and mentions that she's a singer looking for a job. Alex offers Camille the chance to appear on the cover of his magazine.

Julia is caught off guard when her mother Charlotte suddenly shows at the house in Mann County and greets her with a few snide remarks about her engagement to Jack. Tired of hearing her remarks about Jack; Julia stops her mother cold by shouting that her engagement is off. David kisses Molly passionately and accuses her of following him so that they could be together. As the motel room heats up, David pulls Molly onto the single bed and starts kissing her again. But as they lock lips, Molly keeps flashing back to her days with David and finally stops and announces that she can't do this. Though she claims that she can't stop thinking about David, "Reid" insists that she continue.

Emily tries to shake Rita out of her drug-induced stupor. Tom interrupts with the warning that Susan has been telling people that Emily is faking her psychosis and that could send her directly to prison. Ben and Bob are on duty when Susan is brought into the E.R. after a car accident. While the two doctors tend to Susan, Ben asks Denise to take care of Allison who worries about her mother. Later, Susan assures her daughter that she is fine. Holden stuns Lily with the news that Denise was telling her the truth about Hope and shows the DNA test results which prove that Denise is Hope's mother. Lily asks Holden what happened to their baby now that David is dead. Julia brings "Reid" to her summer home in Mann County were she runs into Liam, her best friend from her childhood and the son of the estate's caretaker.

Brad has some fun when he catches Carly in the shower. When he leaks that he's having dinner with his mother and Jack, Carly decides to accompany her husband and crashes the party much to the dismay of Dolores, Emma and Jack. Brad realizes that Carly is going to be harder to control than he thought. Ben leaks to a stunned Holden that David took Hope from Gary at the Oasis Club. Meanwhile, Lily is dumbfounded when Denise claims that Hope is her baby, switched by David. Emotionally distraught, Lily grabs Hope from the nursery and runs from the hospital. She returns home and when Holden arrives, knowing that Denise spilled the beans, Lily forces him to tell her the truth that he has been hiding for weeks.

At the airport David panics when Julia announces that she is not going to the spa with him but instead, is going to her family's cottage in Mann County. He convinces her to allow him to accompany her but then is forced to sit on the plane when the flight is delayed. At the airport to do a story for WOAK, Molly spots "Reid" waiting nervously at the gate and becomes suspicious when he denies knowing where Julia is. She decides to fly to San Francisco to follow him. Lily and Holden blast Denise for being with their daughter again. Jack arrives and hears that Denise gave up a baby for adoption and Lily fears that Denise may try to take their daughter. Bob orders Denise to stay away from Hope.

Lily enlists Rob's help in keeping Denise away from Hope while she is at the hospital. Denise hands Kim flowers and thanks her for donating her bone marrow to save the Snyder's baby. Lily panics when she stops by the nursery and finds Denise holding Hope again. She orders her to put her baby down. Ben visits with Gary in jail and when he threatens to tell Hal that he sold a baby to David Stenbeck, eventually learns that David had another baby with him when he took Hope from him. When David is called back to the psychiatric institution to deal with an upset Rita, Barbara is surprised to find Julia at the airport with Melinda. Julia pleads with her not to tell Jack where she is going.

David brings Rita to a psychiatric institution and asks Dr. Galloway to commit her because of the danger she poses to him and others. David then convinces a dazed Rita to commit herself. Spending time with Tom and her infant, Emily names her baby Daniel but then faces a judge's sentence. She fakes a mental breakdown so she won't have to go to jail and ends up at Spring Lake where Rita is staying. When Alec angrily pulls away from him a letter from Oakdale university, Eddie sneaks a peek at the note in spite of Georgia's urging not to, and learns that his boss arranged for his scholarship. Eddie angrily tells Alec he doesn't need any help but Alec suggests he's making a mistake if he turns down the offer.

Julia reports to "Reid" that she feels out of control after being drugged but adds that she is fighting not to allow the drugs to take control of her. "Reid" surmises that Rita was responsible for spiking her tea but stops Julia from calling the police by vowing to take care of Rita himself. Jack catches Rita at the hospital holding a baby. When he questions her about the infant, she covers but then is forced to put Melinda down to go work in the E.R. Susan picks up the crying baby and Bob guesses that the child is Holden and Lily's missing baby. Told it's not, Rita claims Melinda and Bob suspends her for leaving the child alone. Meanwhile, Ben hands Hope back to a relieved Lily. When Denise offers to keep an eye on Hope while they go home for the night, Lily turns down the proposal but does offer to help find the baby she gave up for adoption.

As "Reid" secretly listens from the waiting room of his office, Jack is dumbfounded when Julia announces that she wants to end their engagement. He tries to get her to remember their good times and suggests that Reid is forcing her hand but she denies it. When Brad insists on being married today, Carly tries to delay the happy ceremony but he won't allow it. She realizes Julia holds the key to winning Jack back and decides to turn to Reid for information she can use. When she finds him secretly listening to Julia and Jack's argument, Carly accuses him of manipulating his patients and then takes over at the intercom. While Julia takes comfort in "Reid's" arms, Carly agrees to marry Brad and shows up at Jack's place in her wedding dress.

In spite of Brad's warning to stay away from the guy, Camille goes out with Peter in hopes of learning why Brad is afraid of him. Peter claims that Brad ruined his life by seducing his wife and stealing his money. Camille confronts Brad who states that all Peter said was true. Ben escorts Denise to the hospital to test blood samples from her and Andy. When he confirms that Hope is her baby, Denise slips away from him and heads to Holden and Lily's place. Tossing his lighter to start the roaring blaze, David sets fire to Reid's body and smiles as the evidence burns. When Holden explains to Julia that Jack thinks Reid took the body from the grave, she guesses that Jack's trying to frame Reid.

Chris vehemently argues with his mother about donating her bone marrow for Lily and Holden's baby but she insists that she must do what's right no matter what danger she faces. David overhears Jack and Holden's plans to exhume David's body and schemes to slow them down by forcing them to evacuate the hospital because of a bomb threat. Julia confronts Rita at the hospital and asks her what she is doing taking care of Reid's baby. Because of the threat, Rita leaves Melinda with Julia while she goes looking for Reid. Julia then introduces the baby to Lily. Because of the evacuation, the harvesting of the bone marrow is put off for a day. while Holden stays with Lily, David slips out and rushes to the grave site.

Holden and Emma are thrilled and surprised when Bob reveals to them and Lily that Kim is the donor found to help Hope. Lily privately tells Kim that she's not going to allow the bone marrow transplant because she won't allow this kind of stress on her damaged heart. Kim convinces her otherwise. Holden calls the phone number found in David's belongings and reaches the Oasis. He questions Eddie at the club but can' t get any answers. Finding Jack and telling him what he's learned, Holden agrees to have David's body exhumed. Denise is impressed by Andy's photos of her but is uncomfortable when he talks about their night together in New York. When Molly arrives and is introduced, Denise notices how happy they are together and decides to keep their secret.
