Reid returns to Jack and Julia's place and verbally attacks Jack, accusing him of forcing Julia to do what he wants, not what she wants. Revved up by his taunting accusations, Jack finally sucker punches the shrink and causes Julia to run to comfort Reid. While Jack heads to the farm where he runs into a curious Carly, Julia finds Reid on the front porch, gasping for breath. He shouts that she can't take him to the hospital and then admits that his trouble is with his asthma. As he uses his inhaler, Julia discovers that he's bleeding from an old bullet wound. Thanks to Jack, Holden looks through what was left from David's place and then questions Molly about his interest in having a baby. Molly puckers up when Andy surprises her at the TV station.

In the hospital Emily and Tom bond as they watch their baby nurse for the first time. Meanwhile, a bailiff stuns Margo with the news that Tom's not in court because he went to the hospital with Emily. Margo arrives at Emily's room in time to see Emily hand the baby to a proud Tom. Jack can't believe that Carly is engaged to his brother and urges her to rethink her decision. After finding David with a baby in his car, Julia leaps into the passenger seat and plead with the shrink to give her a session immediately. When he refuses, she reveals that Holden told Jack everything and she's worried how Jack is going to react to the shocking news that she helped bury David. Sharing a picnic dinner under the stars, Reid tries to turn Julia against Holden.

Julia is curious when she sees Rita arguing with Reid about a baby. Reid takes Rita to task for leaving their baby asleep in her locked car. Jack is outraged as Holden reveals the events leading up to the accidental shooting death of David. When Holden finally admits that Julia was there and knows all that happened, Jack blasts his cousin for the lies and for ruining his relationship with Julia, though he's relieved to finally know what has been bothering his future wife. He agrees to keep this information secret and help him find his baby. Holden calls and warns Julia that Jack knows their secret and is on his way over. Shaken and fearful, Julia runs to find Reid and is shocked to see him holding a baby.

David makes a mistake when he carries Molly into his apartment and claims that she has never stopped loving him. When she stops the passion and realizes what he said, she confronts him but he back pedals and claims that he was thinking of his friend Annette. Molly accuses him of playing games with her head and storms out. Running into Denise at the hospital, Andy remembers her from New York. Remembering how rude he was when they bumped into each other at a bar in Oakdale, Andy apologizes for his words. Tom stops questioning Margo when he realizes that Adam is listening to him berate his estranged wife. Outside the courtroom, Margo defends Tom's actions but Adam blames Tom and Emily for what has happened.

Jack asks Julia to find a new shrink for the sake of their relationship but she angrily warns him not to ask her to make a choice between them and her therapy with Reid. After Jack leaves, Reid takes Julia back in time to her childhood when she was forced to choose between her mother and her father when they separated. Haunted by those memories, a shaken Julia decides to stay with a pleased Reid. Ben and Bob decide not to tell Lily or Holden that Holden cannot be the father of Hope. While Hope gets a successful blood transfusion, Bob explains to the worried couple that their baby needs a bone marrow transplant now to get completely healthy. Holden advises a worried Jack about relationships. Brad warns Carly that if she doesn't accept his marriage proposal and tie the knot, he will tell Roseanne that John did not father her $50 million baby.

Though Molly feels the need to come clean to Andy about Carly's baby, Carly urges her to keep secret the true paternity. Peter demands that Brad pay him $5 million, the money he lost in the divorce fight with his wife and suggests that he get the cash from his blonde friend. Peter also reveals that he's had Claire followed and knows about their tryst in San Francisco. Brad explains the situation to Carly who refuses to give him a dime. He then rushes back to Oakdale to warn Camille about Peter's threat to kill her. Camille, meanwhile, receives flowers anonymously and Sara Ruth guesses they are from Ben. Later, Peter introduces himself. Molly starts to tell Andy the truth about her scheme but she stops when he admits he loves her.

As a mystery man watches from nearby, Brad stuns Carly with the revelation that John is not the father of her baby, thanks to Molly. When Molly and Andy arrive on the island, Carly angrily confronts her cousin who defends her actions. Brad spots Claire's husband Peter Wentworth talking with Dolores. Peter warns Brad that he is going to make him pay for the pain he has caused him and threatens to harm Camille. Denise meets Alec, the owner of the Oasis club and the two find a protest going on outside the club, led by Sara Ruth. Katie defends the club as does Ben who is frustrated to find Sarah Ruth in charge of the protest. Camille also arrives and convinces her mother to end her protest.

Realizing he has no other choice, Reid sleeps with Rita to keep her quiet about his secret identity. Claiming that Holden, Lily and Julia are responsible for the accident that cost him his real face, Reid then reveals his plans for revenge against the three and admits that he needs her help. She urges him to trust her. Lily and Holden are concerned when hope's health deteriorates. Jack's upset when Julia admits that she has decided to keep Reid as her therapist and leaks that he's investigating the Shrink Reid works to make trouble between Julia and Jack. when Molly refuses to go to the police, Andy learns that she's involved in something illegal. He suggests that they deal with Russ themselves. Andy turns to Brad for help dealing with Molly's black mailer and the two convince Russ to leave Molly alone.

Lily and Holden cover their noses as they uncover half of the body buried in the makeshift grave Holden dug. Thinking it's David's lifeless body, the two are satisfied and quickly cover up the body, much to a nearby Reid's relief. At Yo's Julia defends Reid to Jack insists that she stop seeing the shrink~ after this last phone call. She's startled to find Reid at David's grave later and blasts him for calling Jack. Holden calls to inform her that David's body is still in the grave. Reid convinces her to remain as his patient and she decides not to tell Jack. Rita calls Reid to complain that he hasn't been home in a few days and suggests that they move to Oakdale so that he can spend more time with the baby.

Reid panics when Julia reveals that Holden intends to dig up David's grave. He tries to convince her that she would be making a terrible mistake and lets slip that he knows what Holden said that fateful night. He manages to cover for the slip up but then Julia runs out. Jack runs into a flirtatious Carly at the airport and is frustrated when his flight to Toronto to investigate Reid is canceled. Jack's surprised when Reid calls to request his help with Julia who has run out of their session before they were finished. Jack reaches her and prevents her from leaving with Holden and Lily. Leaving Andy at Yo's, Molly confronts Reid and tries to prove to him that she loves Andy. He's too concerned about Julia and leaves her hanging.

Unwilling to go back to the makeshift grave and dig up David's lifeless body, Holden tries to convince Lily that Emily is using David's name to save her own neck. When Julia hears of her desire to go digging, she tells Lily that she wants to go with her and Holden. Admitting that she thought she was over David but realizes he's creeping back into her thoughts lately, Molly apologizes to Reid for her angry words the other day. Reid turns on the therapy and convinces her to allow him to role-play with her in hopes of helping her. While he's out of the office for a second, Molly intercepts a phone call for Reid from Rita and complains about the crying baby heard in the background. Reid returns and starts the role playing therapy until the reality of the situation becomes too much for Molly and she runs out.

Crying and defensive as she tells Ben about the baby she gave away, Denise reveals that she lived in the backroom at the club until she gave birth. When they pay a visit to that room, Denise remembers giving birth and Gary selling her baby to Paulie. Ben urges her to stop blaming herself. Emily and Tom are brought back to the Oakdale police department where Tom guesses that Margo is responsible for them being caught. Hal insists that a reporter turned him in after seeing him going to a hotel room with Emily. when Tom gives him attitude, Hal orders him placed under arrest too. Molly convinces Emily to go live on WOAK to tell the public of her innocence. Reid smiles to himself as Emily tells the TV audience that David is still alive and hired someone to kidnap her.

Finding Margo pushing him to go to Yo's for a big night out, Hal stops Margo from leaving and suggests that she concentrate on getting her marriage back on track. Upset, Margo asks how she can do that when her estranged husband has forgotten about their marriage and gone off to find Emily. Acting on a hunch, Tom returns to New Yrok to look for Emily. She calls him on his cell phone but then hangs up before saying a word. Ed decides to use the local TV news to make an appeal for her. when his phone rings again, he assumes it's Emily and upsets Margo who is actually on the line. Just then, Emily enters the room. After the ballet, one of Ben's colleagues stops by to say "hi" and recognizes Denise from his visit to the Oasis.
