Lucinda finally remembers the accident in the barn and realizes that James is responsible for the collapse of the stables. Though James urges her not to tell anyone and claims that he no longer holds any anger toward anyone in her family, Lucinda vows to tell Lily and Ben but suffers another stroke and lapses into unconsciousness. After a talk with Margo about his promotion, his new place to live and his constant fear of doing something wrong in front of Katie, Eddie realizes that he wants to be with Georgia, his soul mate. Kim tries to play matchmaker with Georgia and Chris. Georgia is surprised when she learns who Chris really is but covers in front of Kim and Bob. Alone with Georgia, Chris starts kissing her neck and continues even when Eddie calls.

Lucinda comes out of her coma much to the delight and relief of her family. As she slowly begins to have memories of the accident, James and Holden agree to a truce. Georgia meets with Chris at the coffee bar and continues to think he's an agent. She suggests that they go to the Oasis for her audition. Finding her out shopping with Brad again while Parker remains at home with the nanny, John pleads with Carly to take better care of their son by putting him first in her life. As he shows her the fixer-upper he intends to live in at the Oasis Club, Katie's upset when Eddie reveals that he's going to be living there as well as working there. Disappointed by her complaining, Eddie remembers the time he spent living with Georgia.

Ben denies calling Denise a hooker and urges her to change her mind about moving out. He also offers her a job at the clinic. Sara Ruth again pushes Camille to Ben. When Lucinda suddenly moves her arm, Lily calls out for a doctor while James laughs that his scheme worked. He tells Lily that he staged the fight with her to get a rise out of Lucinda. Catching her off guard in the studio at WOAK, Chris claims that he's an agent looking for new talent. Georgia doesn't believe him but that doesn't stop his fast- talking. Bob explains to Holden that he can't find anything other than fetal alcohol syndrome to explain Hope's condition. Holden angrily states that James' release of the toxic gas at the Mona Lisa is to blame and angrily confronts him.

Lily is touched when she finds James has decorated Lucinda's hospital room to look like her bedroom at home. She's impressed but later overhears that he's trying to sell Worldwide. As they argue about his plans, Lucinda suddenly moves. Georgia is arrested on charges of using a stolen credit card and is brought to the police station where she's unhappy to see Eddie and Katie. Thanks to Ben's convincing talk, Denise arrives to press charges for running a call girl operation out of the Oasis Club. Gary hints that Denise was a hooker too but she denies it. Lacy joins Denise as Hal and Margo question her about Gary's operation. After her name is cleared, Georgia heads for WOAK to talk with Kim about a job. There, she spots Eddie and Katie again, being interviewed by Kim about their role in the arrest of Gary.

Eddie assures Margo that Katie realizes she did the right where Casey was concerned. Molly smiles as she tells little Parker that John is not his father. When Carly pushes her to go to Yo's for a juicy hamburger, Molly explains that Jack is there buying everyone champagne to celebrate his engagement. Carly smiles and insists on going. Gary watches Eddie kissing Katie at Margo's place. He fast-talks his way into the house and finds proof that Margo works for the Oakdale police department. Meanwhile, Katie smells a rat and tries to secretly tape Gary threatening her. Eddie and Margo arrive in time to help her as she realizes she taped over her father's final words. Ben is upset when he finds Camille advising Brad after an argument with John.

Margo confronts Katie and offers to play the tape made by her father. Eddie's arrival spoils the moment as he arrives for their Valentine's Day date. Seeing how upset she is, Eddie helps Katie talk out her feelings about her father's death. After listening to her father's tape, she realizes Margo did the right thing. When Carly starts kissing him passionately, Brad pulls back and accuses her of using him to get over Jack. She denies it and claims that he's using her to get over Camille. At Yo's after Molly tells a sad story about a high school Valentine's Day dance, Andy takes her out to the dance floor and kisses her. Jack and Julia burst into the bar and proudly announce their engagement.

Insisting that she's over Brad, Molly leaks to Carly that she's dating Andy tonight. After they leave, Carly tells herself that next Valentine's Day, she and Jack will celebrate it together. Armed with a ring and a thermos filled with hot buttered rum, Jack greets Julia at the Snyder pond as she arrives on a new lawn tractor for him. There, he surprises her with a pair of sparkling white ice skates attached to a diamond engagement ring. He proposes marriage and she happily accepts. Camille considers whether Brad is interested in Carly. Brad breaks the news to Carly that Jack and Julia are getting engaged. When he laughs at her sudden show of anger, she starts throwing things at him until he grabs her and pulls her into a passionate clinch.

John approaches Tom for help gaining custody of his son from Carly but Tom states that he can't help him. After talking to her comatose "Aunt Lu" about her feelings for Eddie, Georgia is thrilled when he arrives at the hospital to check on her. As they talk, they spot Lucinda's arm moving and quickly grab John in the hall. John assures them that the jerky movements are just muscles twitching and that there is no change in Lucinda. Georgia then asks him out on a date. Later, Eddie is thrilled when an encouraged Katie asks him to go out on valentine's Day. He quickly agrees but then realizes he'll have to cancel his date with Georgia. Molly finds Brad with Carly again and later warns him about dating a woman like Carly.

Going through withdrawl, Julia is upset when she discovers that her doctor has taken a job in Switzerland and won't be back in Oakdale. She approaches John about giving her more sedatives but he refuses to fill the prescription without talking to her doctor first. Julia's doctor's secretary calls the mystery man about her addiction. Brad is upset when he confronts Carly at WOAK and hears her admitting she missed him because he wasn't there to handle her luggage for her. Molly interviews Carly for her first "In Your Face" show on WOAK as Andy watches from the studio and Jack tunes in from home. Molly makes her squirm when she asks Carly about her love life. Kim gives Molly the good news that her show has been given the go-ahead.

Alone with Lucinda, James promises her that if she comes out of her coma before the drug is used, he'll never hurt anyone in her family. Later, Dr. Dorato explains to Holden that tests on Hope show that she is suffering from fetal alcohol exposure and will develop slower than other children. Holden is sick as he wonders how he can tell an already upset Lily. Finding Lily, Barbara expresses her concern that James is responsible for Lucinda's accident and points out all the abuse she suffered at his hands. When James interrupts, he insists that he's a changed man from the days they were married. With the help of the hotel pharmacist, Carly discovers that the pill Julia lost is a powerful tranquilizer that is highly addictive. She taunts Julia with the pill when she finds her frantic but Julia claims she doesn' t want it, even after she and Jack discover their luggage is lost.

In New York Jack stares in disbelief at Brad kissing Carly after seating Julia at the hotel's rooftop restaurant. Carly spots a frantic Julia looking for a pill. When she finds it, Carly decides to have it analyzed. John unknowingly lets slip to Katie that Margo had to make an important decision when Casey died. She presses him further for the truth but he keeps secret and tells her to ask Margo. Instead, she tricks Tom into revealing that it was Margo who pulled the plug on her father's life when Casey asked her to do so. Eddie tries to help a distraught Georgia who continues to blame herself for Lucinda's accident and tries to distance herself from her.

Molly and Jerry, her WOAK cameraman arrive at the New York hotel and are disappointed to discover that Carly and Brad are nowhere to be found. Molly hops into a waiting limo and tries to convince the man inside to let her use it for the evening. Embarrassed to learn that Reid owns the car, Molly apologizes and leaps out to hit the town in a hailed taxi instead. Left alone by Jerry, Molly is afraid until Reid comes to her rescue. Brad convinces Carly to allow him one night to show her how much fun they can have. He escorts her upstairs to the hotel's rooftop restaurant where they have a romantic dinner. Ben introduces Dr. Eckert to James and Lily who waits anxiously for the results of his tests on her mother.

In New York City, Carly arranges for Jack and Julia to "win" a limo ride and tickets to a show. While making her plans with the hotel manager to have Jack wind up in her limo, Brad catches on to her plan and switches things around to the way they are supposed to be. Jack and Julia have a wonderful night of love in the Big Apple while a fuming Carly berates Brad in the Limo. Tom expresses his concer to Margo about her investigating a man who beats women at the "Oasis". Denise tells Ben to mind his own business when it comes to her troubles with her manager.

A frantic Carly waits with Molly for a doctor to look at Parker who is suffering from a rash. When she sees Brad has arrived, Molly tries to control her anger but later warns Carly to stay away from Brad. Camille questions Brad about his feelings for Carly. Explaining that the medication is not working, Bob tells Lily and James that they'd like to try a new treatment on Lucinda to control the swelling in her brain. Holden and Lily argue with James about his presence at the hospital. Bob sadly states that James is the next of kin where Lucinda is concerned and has final say in the matter of her treatment. Eddie helps comfort Georgia who blames herself for what happened to Lucinda.

While Holden takes Luke home, Lily heads to the stables to find her mother. There, she finds her mother lying unconscious under a pile of straw and timber, thanks to James' trap. She calls for help and when the ambulance arrives, they free her from the mess and rush her to the hospital, pausing only to re-start her heart. Preparing to flee the country, James changes his mind when he hears about Lucinda and rushes to the hospital. Ben wakes Denise after he hears her moaning during a nightmare. When he asks her what she was dreaming about, Denise won't talk. Thanks to a short chat with Camille, Gary finds out were Denise is staying and barges into Ben's place. Georgia is furious when she walks into her place and finds Eddie kissing Katie.

Finding Georgia upset about her latest argument with Lucinda, Eddie stops her in her tracks by announcing that he's leaving. Panicking, Georgia urges Eddie to stay with her and won't take "no" for an answer. Margo forces a love-sick~Katie to admit that she's "got a thing" for Eddie. When Katie begins to admit her fear that she'll lose Eddie before they even go out, Margo pushes her to consider asking Eddie out herself. After Katie runs to find Eddie, Tom arrives and asks Margo if she'll consider going to a marriage counselor. Georgia is shattered as she secretly watches Eddie and Katie share their first kiss. Before James can set his trap in motion to hurt Holden in the stables, Lily arrives with Luke and interrupts.

Georgia goes running to Lily and Holden about her problem with Eddie and James. Lucinda confronts Georgia about Eddie and a full-fledge argument breaks out. After Georgia storms out, Lucinda discovers the note James received and realizes that he knows Holden killed David. Meanwhile, James works quietly in the stables and sets up the perfect killer trap for Holden, muttering as he does so that he intends to get his revenge for his son's murder. After flirting with "Big Ben" again, Denise thanks the good doctor for allowing her to stay at his place. When Sara Ruth interrupts to blast Ben for failing to visit Camille after her surgery, she's furious to see another woman there and assumes Ben's got a new girlfriend.
