Due to the New Year's holiday, "As the World Turns" will not air on Thursday, December 31 and will air a repeat episode on January 1.

Jack finds Carly complaining about her failed plans in the courtyard of Molly and Andy's place. Stopping by the church, Carly is concerned when she feels a contraction. She decides that it's time to forget about the fifty million dollars and instead, concentrate on making sure her baby is healthy. Carly then asks Jack for his help. After working at the hospital, Ben and Camille are uncomfortable when they run into each other at the church. Georgia stops by Eddie's place to thank him for the doll he dropped at Lucinda's for her. He explains that it's up to her whether she moves back in with him or stays with Lucinda.

Ben tries to treat Denise's bruised face but finds the dancer angry at him and reluctant to let him touch her. He convinces her to remain for an x-ray and assures her that it won't cost her a thing. After he discovers that Denise has run away, Ben spots the man he thinks hurt Denise and confronts him. In the recently finished church, Camille cries to Brad that she ended her engagement to Ben and told him that she slept with Brad. Brad comforts her and invites her to spend the holidays with his family. Meanwhile, Sara Ruth finds Ben upset at the hospital and learns about the break up. Katie tries her best to cheer up Eddie as he celebrates his first Christmas without his mother.

When Georgia arrives at Lucinda's for the holidays, Lucinda starts to badmouth Eddie but is stopped by Georgia who calls him her best friend. Georgia then takes Lily into her confidence about her frustration with her relationship with Eddie. Eddie is surprised when Katie stops by. He admits that Georgia's not living with him anymore. When Lucinda interrupts to pick up some of Georgia's things, she boasts to Eddie that Georgia has decided to move in with her. Back at her place, Lucinda gives Georgia the bad news that Katie was with Eddie when she stopped by. At Yo's, Jack apologizes to Brad for the way he has treated him over the years. Though Brad assures him that he need not apologize, Jack continues to explain why he did what he did.

Finding Jack talking with their mother, Brad guesses that he has broached the claim about their father's death. Upset by how much her sons are arguing, Dolores finally comes clean and confesses that she was so drunk while driving, she lost control of the car and hit and killed their father. Brad carried her to her room and covered up for her to protect her. Brad runs out hurt that he never told him the truth and runs into Camille. Georgia is pleased when Eddie welcomes her home after being out all night. He assures her that he cares about her but then disappoints her when he calls her his best friend. Seeing her reaction, Eddie asks if she expected another kind of relationship.

Carly meets with Dr. Carlton, another OB-GYN while John is surprised by a visit from Rosanna. He explains how he had Carly artificially impregnated and boasts that he married Carly to protect his child. Rosanna stuns him with the news that she never extended Carly's deadline for delivering the baby. Eddie confronts Georgia about leaking his secret about college. She denies telling Katie the truth but he can't think of anyone else who knew that he lied about attending classes. Georgia does admit that she tried to convince Katie that he was scared to tell her the truth but Eddie's anger causes her to run off. Later, Eddie's embarrassed when Margo admits that she told Katie.

Knowing that her rival is already upset by his lies, Georgia convinces Eddie to find Katie at the Mona Lisa and tell her the truth about not going to college. When he finds her talking to Casey about college, he realizes that she already knows he lied about attending school. He storms out of the restaurant when she admits that Georgia told him about his secret. Margo leaks to Lily that James is broke and recently lost 12 million dollars in a September hedge fund that failed. Lucinda interrupts and is upset to discover that Lily hired Margo to snoop about James. Knowing the video camera is running inside, Molly and Carly listen outside Lisa's penthouse in hopes of hearing John and Lisa have given in to their passion.

Tom explains to Emily that Casey told him she didn't grab him in the mall earlier. Margo's upset to see them together again and makes a snide remark to an encouraged Emily. Emily announces that David has contacted her again but Margo doubts her when she admits she has yet to call the police. Later, Emily worries when she thinks someone really is following her. When Dolores finds her sons arguing again, she insists that the two of them get together with her for a family dinner. Brad assures Molly she doesn' t have to go with him but she insists on tagging along. Lisa's worried when she gets an anonymous threatening phone call at the club, unaware that it's Carly trying to push her into John's arms.

Ben carries Camille into a room at the hospital where she is surprised to find all of her friends gathered for a surprise wedding shower arranged by Julia. Aileen takes a moment to thank Camille for reassuring her faith when her cancer came back. she leaves the party early when she rushes to court to check on Brad. Brad and Molly are pleased when the charges against them are thrown out of court. Emma urges Brad and Jack to end their differences but they both refuse. Surprised by Jack's anger and his complaint that Brad always gets away with everything, Emma lectures him about family. Jack and Brad are surprised when their mother Dolores arrives in Oakdale. When Casey is missing at the mall, Tom and Margo fear that Emily might have taken him.

Molly returns to the apartment and finds the place a mess and a hungover Andy struggling to remember where he was late last night. She tries to help soothe his enormous headache by rubbing his temples and thanking him again for rescuing her with a place to stay. She's disappointed when he admits that he forgot he kissed her last night. Later, Andy calls Nikki and hangs up when her boyfriend answers the phone. He then lies to Molly about going to an AA meeting. Lily becomes suspicious when Rita ignores her and runs off into the crowd at the mall. When she worries to Holden that the strange woman might be abusing the child she's in charge of, she decides to go to the house in Groverton just to make sure the child is safe.

When Tom finally finds Margo, he reveals that Emily confessed everything but played up how her defenselessness caused her to lie. Margo's relieved when Tom admits that he didn't believe a word she told him. Meanwhile, Eddie confronts Emily and frightens her with his threatening manner. At the doctor's office for the test results, Lily grabs the phone when she hears the receptionist talking with Rita. Rita is shocked to find Lily on the other end of the phone and hangs up. She reports to her boss that she's changed doctors but would like to take the baby to the mall to see Santa and get some new clothes. At the mall Rita freaks out when Molly spots her with the baby and asks if she can interview her for her TV show.

Susan refuses to lie to cover for her daughter and confirms for an angry Margo that Emily lied about being mugged. After Margo storms out, Emily starts laughing about the situation and then frightens her mother by systematically destroying things in Susan's place until a crying Allison stops her. When she fears that Tom will now hear the truth from Margo, Emily runs to find him first. She does reach him first but when she makes her little confession, he's sickened by her lies, tells her off and runs to find his wife. Before Andy can take a drink of vodka, Molly wakes and interrupts, forcing him to hide the bottle. He assures her that he is fine after reading the "Dear John" letter from Nikki. After she goes to bed, Andy falls off the wagon.

Brad stops by to check on Camille and convinces her to allow him to stay with her. Announcing that he is taking over the wedding plans for the sake of Camille, Ben blows up at Sara Ruth when she asks him what he's going to do about Brad. Katie comes to the rescue when she finds the missing money and shows everyone that Eddie did not steal it. Margo is furious when she overhears Andy urge Emily to tell the truth about her phony mugging. When she confronts Emily and threatens to take her down to the station house to charge her with lying, Margo then lays into her brother for failing to tell her. Though he explains that he couldn't talk about what he heard at an AA meeting, Margo won't accept his excuse and blames him for her failed marriage.

When Camille collapses, both Ben and Brad rush to her side to help her. After ordering Brad to stay away, Ben takes Camille to the hospital where Bob examines her and suggests she just needs rest. Ben then brings her home where he leaves her to rest. Eddie finds Katie outside at the bridge. When Emily sees them together and assumes that Katie is being harassed, Katie quickly jumps all over the woman for all the pain she has caused her family. Emily denies that she is responsible for Tom's ruined marriage. When Eddie is accused of stealing money at the Java by his vindictive ex-boss, Katie is quick to jump to his defense. Margo and Andy confront John about marrying Carly and are astounded to hear that he has agreed to take full custody of the baby once the trust fund money is released to Carly.

Jack calls his mother Dolores and asks her about the night of the accident that took his father from him. She evades the question and then puts off a visit even when he admits that he wants her to meet the woman he loves. After she hangs up and pours herself a large drink; Jack argues with Julia about how difficult it is to talk with his mother about his father. Sara Ruth urges Ben to fight for Camille but he insists that it's not a contest. when she claims that race is a factor, he denies it which only sends her off to find her daughter. Camille stops Ben from running out of his house by running to his arms. When he asks her to tell him what she feels for him, she almost tells him that she loves him but admits that she's not quite ready to say the words he wants to hear.

Lily and Holden bring Hope to a specialist and run into Rita who has brought "her" baby Melinda for a check up. When Rita finally learns who they are, she panics and quickly runs out, leaving behind her diaper bag but taking Lily's. Ben overhears Sara Ruth lecturing her daughter on the consequences of bailing out Brad. When he confronts her, Camille insists that she could not turn her back on the man who helped her. Meanwhile, Jack tells Brad he knows what he told Camille. Brad is furious that she broke a confidence and angrily accosts her. He states for everyone to hear that he ran over his father with his car after drinking too much and then complains about ever meeting Camille.

As Rita the nanny talks about the Thanksgiving she spent with the unnamed baby she's been assigned to care for, her mystery boss writes a note stating that he is "glad to be back." Sara Ruth orders Brad to stay away from Camille or get out of town. Camille tries to tell Jack about Brad's secret but he interrupts and warns her that anything Brad told her is a lie. When Jack goes on and on about his horrible brother, Camille blurts out that it was their mother who ran over their father, not Brad. Jack calls it an outright lie and warns Camille that his brother used her. Barbara is amused when Lisa shows her the food set up she's arranged in the hospital lobby to embarrass John in front of the hospital board members.

Jack freaks out when he can't wake Julia. Meanwhile, Julia suffers a nightmare about David but manages to tell herself that she is strong and can get past this. She then wakes and assures Jack that she is better until she later finds David's bloody shirt hanging outside. A smug John finds Carly trying to meet with her attorney and takes her aside to warn her that he won' t allow her to trick him into getting out of their arrangement. When she denies that she wants out of their deal, John angrily warns her that he is not Hal Munson and offers to get a divorce right now so she won't get the $50 million. She turns him down and reluctantly attends Lamaze class with him. Lisa gets her revenge on John by publishing a story about his marriage.

Molly's relieved when she's bailed out of jail by Carly and promises Brad she help spring him too. Ben confronts Brad behind bars and announces that he has been fired from the church reconstruction project. Sarah Ruth warns Camille that she better get Brad out of her life for good or she will lose Ben. Camille denies that she has feelings for Brad and is outraged when her mother boasts that she spearheaded a group from the church that demanded Brad be fired because of his arrest. John finds Carly at the station house and angrily blasts her for lying to Lisa on the island. Carly defends her actions by blaming him for all that has happened until Emma and Jack arrive and interrupt. Emma tries to convince Jack and Brad to end their differences.

Thinking she has him all to herself at the movie theatre, Georgia is perturbed when Katie arrives and Eddie quickly invites her to sit next to him. To make matters worse, Adam arrives and Eddie urges him to sit with Georgia. While the storm continues to upset residents in the hotel lobby, Jack and Julia make love in their room. Brad is amused to find the newly married Carly upset and realizes that she is still in love with Jack. Hearing Julia confide to Barbara that Jack asked her to move in with him, Carly suddenly interrupts and calls Julia a tramp. Barbara defends her friend and faces a bitter outburst from Carly about John. A handcuffed Molly tries to escape during the storm.
