Margo hosts Thanksgiving for the Hughes' family and is surprised when Tom shows up. Susan surprises her disappointed daughter with a peace offering and the news that Ellen's in town, upset that she didn't know they weren't living together anymore. Emily asks Susan to bring Ellen and Ali over for the dinner she prepared as a surprise for Tom. The two manage to reconcile for the day but Emily eventually calls the Hughes' to speak with Tom. Adam hangs up on her. When she steps outside to get some fresh air, Ben helps Camille who is suffering from the effects of her latest chemotherapy treatment. While Eddie brings Georgia to the Hughes', he can't keep his mind off Katie. Lily and Holden spend the holiday at the farm and are joined by Cal and Iva who are thrilled to hold the newest family member.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, "As the world Turns" will not air on Thursday, November 26 and Friday, November 27. While Lisa is trapped in a broken elevator, Jack interrupts the nuptials in the honeymoon suite and is told that Molly and Brad are marrying. When Carly spots him, she assumes that he has come to stop her from marrying John. She offers herself to him but he reveals why he is there. He's shocked to realize that she's marrying John and is astounded when John claims to be the father of her unborn baby. Fed up, Jack places handcuffs on Brad and Molly and announces they are under arrest for possessing stolen money. Julia arrives and hears about the money they dug up and figures out that the doll they had was buried with the ransom money.

Molly and Brad continue to hide from Jack and end up interrupting John and Carly's wedding just as the happy couple discovers that they need a witness for the impromptu ceremony. When Lisa asks Carly if John is in her room, she lies and claims that Molly and Brad are getting married. When Lisa leaks this information, Jack rushes to the honeymoon suite and is shocked to find John tying the knot with Carly. Julia is frightened when she spots the doll lying outside her hotel room and collapses in fear when she asks for help in the lobby. She later pops more tranquilizers in an effort to calm down. When Lily's baby suffers a seizure, Holden and Lily rush her to the hospital were Bob examines her and compares her to a baby born of a drug-addicted mother.

In the Caribbean Jack and Julia reunite as Carly watches from nearby. When Hal blasts her for dumping him to marry another man simply to get her hands on the fifty million dollars, Carly claims that she doing what's best for her baby. Hal boasts that once he returns to Oakdale, he's going to have John arrested. After Carly leaks that it was John who inseminated her, a sickened Hal announces she can have her divorce. Brad anxiously works with Molly to "launder" the money they found before Jack catches on to them. Carly runs into Lisa and panics when she learns that she's there to marry John. She sends her away and then finds John anxious to leave the island. She convinces him to marry her immediately.

Jack arrives in the Caribbean and heads to the hotel where the marked ransom money was spent. He's shocked to find Molly and Brad staying at the hotel in adjoining rooms. They deny knowing where David is and insist that they are on vacation. Learning that the money they found was the ransom money David was paid for the release of Lily and the baby, Brad blasts Molly for failing to tell him. After Carly reveals that Hal's not going through with the divorce which means she won't marry him, he argues against her travel plans until she suggests that he join her in the Caribbean to convince him to change his mind. Upset after another sleepless night, Julia talks with Emma who suggests that she fly to the islands to surprise Jack.

Molly and Brad arrive in the Caribbean and discover that their bag of money has been lost at the hotel. They eventually discover that Hal and Barbara have the bag by mistake and Molly takes it back. Calling a family meeting, a sheepish John confides to Margo and Andy the truth about Carly's baby. Running into her at the station house, Jack assures Carly that he won't badmouth her anymore and is impressed that she gave Hal the divorce he wanted so she could get on with her life. Jack's told that one of the marked bills from the ransom has turned up in the Caribbean and quickly boards a plane for the islands. Learning from Molly that Carly intends to marry John who impregnated her, Hal informs Carly by phone that he's not going to divorce her.

In spite of Holden's attempt to embarrass him into believing his son has left him, James vows to find David and boasts that he's also going to marry Lucinda. Realizing his ploy didn't work, Holden considers telling the police that he killed David. James then begs Lucinda to marry him today and she agrees. Julia has a session with Dr. Sullivan, a psychiatrist who gives her a prescription for pills to help her sleep after she suffers an outburst during their time together. Meanwhile, Jack talks with Emma about allowing Julia to move in with him to help her get past the emotional problems she's having now. Eddie's impressed when Georgia talks about going after her college education. He admits that he's always been afraid of ending up like an uneducated loser but then pulls back when she excitedly suggests that he go to college too.

While editing the tape of David's voice, Lily freaks out when the lights suddenly go out. As the tape plays in the dark, Lily screams out until the lights come back on and Lucinda is revealed. Lucinda figures out Lily's plan to stop her from marrying James and confesses to her daughter that she's in love with James. When Holden teases James that he might know where David is, James attacks him. Jack urges Julia to relax and stop worrying about Lily and Holden. Margo is devastated as she secretly watches Tom with Emily, listening and laughing to the heartbeat of their unborn baby. Back at home, Tom suggests the family go out to dinner but Margo's not interested.

When she offers to end their marriage tonight, John signs Barbara's Power of Attorney papers so that she can go to the Caribbean to get a divorce. He then agrees to marry Carly but only if she allows him to raise the baby. Lily finally explains to Holden and Julia her decision to fake a message from David that will force James to cancel the wedding. As she works on editing some of David's speeches, a mystery person watches. Hal catches Margo checking on the analysis of Emily's answering machine tape and orders her to stay out of it. Emily invites Tom to accompany her on her first pre-natal checkup. As he does so, Margo is disturbed to see him with Emily.

Hal is suspicious when Carly offers to give him the divorce. The more explanations she gives for her change of heart, the more he refuses to believe her. When she claims that she doesn't want a long divorce to hurt her baby, Hal hands her the papers and she signs them. Thanks to his flowery words about their relationship, Lisa considers John's marriage proposal but wonders if he would still be interested if Barbara was available. Before she can answer his proposal, Carly interrupts and causes Lisa to turn John down. Barbara offers to accompany Hal on his trip to the islands to get a divorce. Still in awe of the millions they found, Molly boasts to Brad that she has enough money to take on Lucinda and bring her down.

Realizing neither is willing to sign the appropriate document, Lucinda and James rip up their respective prenuptial agreements so they can get married. They find a Justice of the Peace named Sammy and his mush-younger wife Shari and order the "Cupidcopia" ceremony. Lily and Holden burst in to stop James and Lucinda from tying the knot. When Lucinda is unable to convince them that she is doing the right thing, she takes her daughter aside and explains the real reason she's marrying James. Carly explains to John that she will marry him once she divorces Hal and thereby give their baby a father and a mother who care about her or him. John refuses and suggests that he should have left her in "the booby house" where he found her.

Worried that James will find out Holden killed his son, Lucinda stops his investigation by asking him to marry her as soon as possible. However, James decides to continue his snooping in spite of Lucinda's efforts and confronts Holden, demanding to know where his son is. Digging at the site of Ben and Camille's new house, Brad and Molly find a suitcase full of money and a doll buried. Jack's confused when he's finally reunited with Julia and discovers she doesn't want to go home. At the Mona Lisa, she apologizes for her strange actions lately. The two are upset when Brad and Molly arrive. Julia freaks out when she sees Molly with the doll. Lily guesses that her mother is hiding something from her and decides to find out what she is doing.

Carly is rocked by John's sheepish revelation that he used his sperm to impregnate her because the lab was locked. She realizes why he's been so concerned about her pregnancy but announces that Hal could still be the father since she and Hal were together at that time. John demands to have a say in the child's future and urges her to do what's best for the baby. She requests that he tell James the truth to get him off her back. James confronts Lucinda about the possibility that David fathered Carly baby but hides when Holden rushes in. He secretly listens as Holden almost lets slip about David being dead. When Julia calls about finding the shovel from the grave in her car's trunk, he rushes to the parking lot only to find the shovel is now gone.

Astounded to hear that he thinks David fathered Carly's baby, John explains to James that David is not the father of Carly's unborn baby. Hearing from Molly that Carly is trying to have an amniocentesis performed to check the paternity of her unborn baby, John rushes to stop her for the sake of the baby. He then stuns Carly with the revelation that he fathered her baby. Ben can't stop watching Brad and Camille as they talk at the engagement party and finally asks his future wife what's going on between the two of them. Lily and Holden try to calm a frantic Julia who fears that she has seen David again. When Jack arrives, Julia calms down and all three are shocked when Jack reveals that Emily has supposedly heard from David.

James approaches Carly for help in bringing David back to Oakdale. She's shocked and refuses to have her baby used for anything like that. James then pushes the issue by claiming that David could be the father of her baby. She faints dead away and when she comes to, decides to have a paternity test performed as soon as possible. Jack orders Brad to stay away from Ben and Camille's party tonight and claims to know that he will try to interfere in their relationship. Brad denies it but in doing so, confesses that he loves Camille. Jack again insists that he stay away from Camille. Camille pretends to be surprised when she arrives at her engagement party on Ben's arm. Georgia is thrilled when Eddie invites her to the party as his date.

On WOAK, Emily goes on the air to report that she has been contacted by David Stenbeck. Lily nervously checks on the baby in the nursery after watching Emily's report. Tom and Lisa watch Emily's report in disbeleif. James, Lucinda, Lily, Holden and Jack question Emily about the supposed phone call. A mystery man picks up the baby in the nursery. Camille argues with Sarah Ruth about the attraction that exists between her and Brad.

Though she finds her sister upset after her run-in with Emily and Tom's outrageous guess that it was Margo who forged the Power of Attorney papers, Katie guesses that Margo is obviously still in love with her husband. Desperate for some attention from Tom, Emily provokes an outburst from James so that Tom will come to her rescue. Tom falls for the ruse and insists to Emily that she call him if James ever bothers her again. As Emily smiles at her success, Lisa interrupts and warns her son to stop falling for Emily's games. Hal refuses to believe Carly's claim that she was artificially inseminated and vows to have a paternity test performed. Carly calls John who comes to the station house and confirms the upsetting fact.

John is furious when he realizes that Hal and Barbara made love. When he starts to argue with her about betraying their love, Barbara refuses to apologize and states that she doesn't know that she ever really loved him. After finding nothing in John's files, Carly tries to break into the hospital sperm bank but is caught. When Hal threatens to put her into jail and fight for sole custody, Carly reveals that she was looking for the name of the sperm donor whose "donation" was used to artificially inseminate her. After being frightened in the forest where David's body was originally buried, Julia tells Holden that she thinks David might be alive. Holden offers to dig up the grave and show her but Julia finally calms down and convinces herself that she is safe.

Worried about Julia's nightmares Jack confronts her at the farm and suggests that she get some professional help. Holden urges her to confront her demons and convince herself that David is dead. She decides to do just that and leaves for David's secret grave. Before she can get there, someone digs up the grave. Lily controls her fear when Emma points out a birthmark on Hope's leg that wasn't there before. When John refuses to tell her the name of the sperm donor, Carly decides to break into his office for a look at his files. After they share a kiss, Barbara confesses to Hal that she has never gotten over him. The two agree that they might have made a mistake in ending their marriage.
