Thursday, Dec. 31, 1998 Due to the New Year's holiday, "Another World" will not air on Friday, January 1. Tito intercepts Nick's note and his bouquet of long- stemmed roses, then passes off the flowers as his own gift to Remy. As the key in his hand begins to glow, the disfigured Jordan Stark is transformed into a man with no facial flaws at all. Meanwhile, Cass tells an irritated Amanda that "David Halliday" is on his way over to check on his investment. As Remy waits in vain for Nick to call, Tito suggests a better way to kill some time. "David" introduces himself to Amanda, who is pleasantly surprised to find that Brava's major backer seems kind and unassuming. Exuding a charming awkwardness, "David" soon has Amanda eating out of the palm of his hand. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998Elated following his trip to the Keys, Cameron blithely assures Josie that they're home free. Cindy balks when Marley asks her to impersonate Vicky, but she is finally forced to agree to check into a motel in disguise in order to lay down a false trail for Jake. After Lila tricks Matt and Rachel into rushing her to the ER, Jordan slips into the Cory's library and sifts through the pages of the family Bible. Paulina tells "Tim" they'll both have to donate hair samples for the DNA test. Later, on the pretext of pulling a grey hair from his friend's head, Tito acquires a sample of Remy's long locks. Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998Lila and Cass have another awkward encounter as they both struggle to keep their emotions in check. Grant pressures Cindy to tell him what Marley has done with Vicky. An unhappy Kirkland reminds Jake how he promised that his mom would be home in time for Christmas. Meanwhile, Marley sneaks away to check on Vicky and is concerned to find that her sister's health has deteriorated even further. Cass gently turns down Lila's invitation to her New Year's Eve party. As he stages a re-enactment of the attempt on the mayor's life, Joe asks a rattled Cindy to stand in for the shooter. Rachel explains to Cass why she's persuaded Jordan to pose for her. After Vicky's temperature rises to 103 degrees, Marley decides she must get her twin some medical attention at once. Monday, Dec. 28, 1998A giddy Amanda returns home with Cameron, eager to spend their first Christmas together. As Charlie and Felicia open their gifts, Cass privately wishes he had received what he truly desired. Across town at the Cory mansion, Lila fantasizes about being in Cass arms instead of watching Matt trim the tree. Huddled beneath her blanket in the basement of the Love house, a feverish Vicky dreams of being home for the holidays, surrounded by the people who love her. Meanwhile, Marley suggests to Jake that her sister's failure to send the boys at least a Christmas card means Vicky has no intention of ever coming back. Amanda confides to Lila how thrilled she is to have found a man who loves her despite her faults. Wednesday, Dec. 23, 1998Amanda hesitantly agrees to let Cameron stay the night after he misses the last flight out of the Keys. As Josie begins to book him for his role in the baby-selling ring, Dr. Hale reminds his arresting officer that he knows she's carrying her brother-in- law's child. With help from Tyrone, Jake pretends to be totally inebriated as he returns home to a solicitous Marley. Hale threatens to blow the whistle on Josie unless she lets him walk. Later, Josie tells a furious Joe that she forgot to read the doctor his Miranda rights and apologizes for ruining their case against Hale. Vicky uses a nail file to try to saw through the ropes which bind her wrists. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998Cass corners Lila on the terrace of the Harbor Club and again entreats her to end her sexless sham of a marriage. Felicia suggests to a skeptical Rachel that she has become the new object of Jordan Stark's affections. Cameron surprises Amanda with a sudden appearance at the beach house. When he asks if it's too late for them to work things out, Amanda responds by slapping him hard across the face. Matt furiously warns Cass to keep his hands off Lila. Returning home to the mansion, Rachel is startled to realize that her wedding ring is no longer on her finger. Lila tries once more to persuade her husband to spend the night in her bed. Though Cameron urges her to believe that they can start fresh, Amanda bitterly informs him she knows he will only leave her once more if she allows him to get close yet again. Monday, Dec. 21, 1998Jordan invites Rachel and her family to the Harbor Club for dinner. Alarmed to see Jake attacking Grant, Kirkland runs to help his father. Tyrone angrily accuses Marley of slashing his tires to prevent him from following her away from the Lucky Lady. Weak with hunger and numb from the cold, Vicky wonders if her twin sister really intends to leave her in the basement until she's dead. Marley attempts to con Tyrone with another sob story but he orders her to stop lying. Kirkland tells Jake he wants to spend Christmas with his dad. A frightened Lila refuses to attend Stark's dinner party. Meanwhile, Cass and Felicia decide to do a little gate-crashing. Friday, Dec. 18, 1998Marley eagerly offers to spend more time with her nephews, then is thrilled when Jake asks her to stay with him and the boys during the holidays. Later, Tyrone privately assures Jake he'll keep a close eye on Marley as she makes her next move. Shivering in the damp basement of the Love mansion, Vicky fights to stay awake. Cass smells a familiar, Southern-fried rat when Rachel's wedding ring suddenly disappears. Accosting Lila, Cass demands that she return the ring, then enjoys slowly frisking his prime suspect. Etta Mae frowns in disapproval when Tyrone arrives at the Lucky Lady with Marley in tow. As Etta Mae takes Tyrone aside to give him a piece of her mind, Marley steals a knife and sneaks out the back way. Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998Paulina lies to Joe when he wonders why she's been sitting through boxes in the attic. Jordan informs Zack that a copy of Beyond Imagination somehow survived the purge and has fallen into the wrong hands. Meanwhile, Chris reports to an intrigued Cass that a copy of Stark's book is on its way from London. At the Cory mansion, Lila attempts to convince a skeptical Rachel that her marriage to Matt is now real and strong. After Etta Mae takes some advice from a friend and converts the Lucky Lady into a coffee bar, Toni asks Chris to use his influence with the Love Lady to convince her to make a personal appearance to draw in more patrons. Rachel tells a rattled Lila she finally had a face-to- face encounter with the elusive Jordan Stark. Tuesday, Dec. 15, 1998Paulina helps Steven and Kirkland put a light in the window as a symbol of their yearning to see their mom come home safe and sound. Later, Paulina's own hopes for a family reunion are rekindled when she receives another response to her personal ad. Aware that Jake is following her, Marley goes to Michael's grave and loudly bemoans the fact that her beloved sister is missing. Meanwhile, Vicky comes to in the trunk of the car and tries to call out for help. After finally shaking Jake, Marley hurries back to the parking garage but gets way-layed by Tyrone just as she approaches the car. Tito digs for more evidence connecting Remy to Paulina's trust fund. Monday, Dec. 14, 1998Lila stages a seduction scene for Matt, suggesting that they start acting like a real married couple--at least in bed. Meanwhile, Cass complains to Rachel that her son's marriage is a sham. As Cindy drags an unconscious Vicky out of the basement, Marley tries to delay Jake's search of her house. Cass warns Rachel that Jordan Stark engineered the "rescue" of Cory Publishing as well as Jasmine's abduction and Matt's bizarre marital arrangement. Cindy locks Vicky in the trunk of her car. when a seething Jake accuses her of keeping her sister imprisoned in the basement, Marley frantically claims she uses the secret room herself as a special hideaway. Friday, Dec. 11, 1998Cass taunts Lila about the tact that she's slept alone every single night since she was wed. Though Lila insists that her husband loves her dearly, Cass reminds her that they both know Matt only acts affectionate each time he falls under Zak's spell. Weary and frightened, Vicky begins to lose hope that she'll ever leave her dungeon cell alive. Meanwhile, Jake finally makes the connection between his wife's disappearance and Marley's eagerness to step into her sister's life. When Jake discloses his suspicions about Marley, Donna repeats the Lumina party line that everything which has happened was her fault and not her daughter's. Matt confides to his mother how lonely he's felt since Sofia left town. Thursday, Dec. 10, 1998Tito intercepts an important message for Remy after Paulina places another furtive call to the Personal Ads department at the Herald. Marley brings Steven and Kirkland back to her place to wrap Christmas gifts. Meanwhile, down in the basement, Vicky eagerly listens to her sons's voices as they discuss making a welcome home card for the day they see their mother again. Cameron feels even worse about lying repeatedly to Amanda when she profusely apologizes for ever doubting his honesty. Vicky is dismayed to hear Jake ask Marley if he can accompany her and the boys to the tree lighting party at Carlino's. Paulina makes another trip to the airport to wait hopefully for her long-lost child to appear. Wednesday, Dec. 9, 1998Jake shows Joe the letter from Vicky. Anxious to keep Grant quiet, Marley appeals to Jordan for help. Meanwhile, at the hospital, Cindy takes matters into her own hands by secretly preparing another syringe for her ailing ex. Tito suggests to an uneasy Remy that her friendship with Paulina could pay off big if they play their cards right. Grants doctor warns Cindy that the mayor's level of sedation is dangerously high. Worried that another injection might kill Grant, Cindy realizes she must try a new tactic to buy his silence. Jake tells Joe he's sure his wife is being set up and was coerced into penning the bogus confession. Donna gets weepy sorting through the Christmas decorations Vicky puts up every year. Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1998Cameron and a jittery Amanda prepare to keep their appointment with the head of the black market baby ring. Meanwhile, Josie overhears the corrupt doctor instructing his henchmen to rob and kill the "McNamaras". Jordan coldly reminds Lila that he expects her to fulfill the terms of their agreement promptly and efficiently. Josie tries frantically to reach Gary in time to warn him that his brother is walking into a set-up. Jordan tells Zack he has no intention of allowing Lila to stand in the way of his ultimate objective. Rachel expresses disapproval after discovering that her son gave a family heirloom to Lila to replace the ribbon she wore at their impromptu wedding. Monday, Dec. 7, 1998Cameron has to talk fast to prevent Gary and Amanda from uncovering the real reason why a doctor at the clinic recognized him as "Mr. Jones". In her basement cell, Vicky hopes against hope that Jake will spot the tiny piece of red yarn and realize the note is a cry for help. Meanwhile, Jake is devastated to read Vicky's handwritten confession explaining how she shot Grant in a moment of blind rage. Grant struggles to reach his cell phone and tries to call police headquarters, but Cindy intervenes and has the protesting mayor sedated again. Certain his wife wrote the note under coercion, Jake tells Marley he knows Vicky would never leave him and the boys. Friday, Dec. 4, 1998A beaming Amanda hints to Gary that she and his brother may be headed for a bright future together. Meanwhile, Cameron voices an objection as Josie prepares to return to work at the precinct house. After rigging the intercom to work both ways, Vicky attempts to attract Paulina's attention when the police captain's wife knocks on Marley's door. At the hospital, Marley and Cindy hold their collective breath as Jake pressures Grant to reveal who really shot him. After Joe drags Jake out of the room, Marley reminds Grant his freedom is hanging by a very slim thread unless he cooperates with her. Unable to hear Vicky's cries for help, Paulina finally leaves. Thursday, Dec. 3, 1998Cass expresses grave concern about Rachel's business dealings with the universal Investment Group. At Lumina, Jordan instructs Zack to maintain daily contact with Lila in order to have a conduit straight into the midst of the Cory clan. A groggy Grant hears a radio news report and realizes that Vicky has been falsely accused of shooting him. Dangling a tray of food just out of reach of her starving sister, Marley taunts Vicky with a story about how close Jake has drawn to her during this latest crisis. Matt accuses Cass of losing his professional objectivity, then icily suggests that it's time Cory Publishing found itself a new attorney. Troubled to learn how deeply entrenched Marley has become in the lives of her twin's husband and children, Paulina cautions Jake that he may be sending his obsessive sister-in-law mixed signals. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 1998Paulina receives an answer to her personal ad and nervously arranges a meeting at the airport terminal. An excited Amanda reports to Cameron that she's just become the editor of a new magazine for women. At the Cory mansion, Rachel casts a suspicious eye on Lila after all of "Brava's" investors suddenly pull out for no apparent reason. Toni is deeply disturbed by a letter in the Love Lady's column concerning a mother's heartbreak over a possible fraudulent adoption. Facing tough questions from Joe, Paulina makes up a cover story to explain her trip to the airport. Tito passes himself off as a carpenter hired to build shelves when Nick asks the stranger in Remy's apartment to identify himself. Tuesday, Dec. 1, 1998Tito informs Remy that they're going to have to step up their plan now that his cash flow has dwindled to a mere trickle. As an anxious Kirkland begins to ask questions again, Donna is forced to tell her young grandson that nobody seems to know where his mommy has gone. Meanwhile, Joe reluctantly issues a warrant for Vicky's arrest. At the hospital, Cindy hovers over Grant as Chris probes for an exclusive on the attempted assassination which has left Bay City's mayor close to death. Jake asks Marley to use her "twin connection" to help him locate his missing wife. Tito reminds Remy how he rescued her from the group home where they were both so miserable.
