Gary raises an objection when Joe asks Josie to go undercover for their investigation into the baby-snatching ring. Though Lila insists she heard Jasmine crying from a nearby clump of trees. Cass regretfully shows his hopeful friend that there is no baby hidden on the grounds of the Cory estate. Meanwhile, Stark orders Zach to make sure that Cass no longer acts as an influence on Lila. When Josie bows out of the undercover assignment, Amanda and Cameron volunteer to pose as a couple anxious to adopt a black market baby. Cass urges Lila to stop listening to Zach and his bogus theories about psychic control. Reminding Josie how the miscarriage nearly destroyed them, Gary asks his wife to take a leave of absence during her pregnancy.

An outraged Vicky tears into Cindy for trying to terrorize Kirkland with tales of her "powers" as a wicked stepmother. Jake asks Marley if she tried to commit suicide because of the rape. Zach again urges Lila to be patient and believe that her daughter will be restored safely to her arms before long. Vicky orders Cindy to stay away from her son or else. Cass arrives at the Lumina Foundation and consoles a sobbing Lila, promising her that he will move heaven and earth to find Jasmine and punish the person responsible for her abduction. Following her encounter with Vicky, Cindy rushes to Marley's house and warns her fellow conspirator that one of their secrets is in danger of being exposed.

Lila hesitantly tells Matt she will marry him once their daughter is home safe and sound. At the Herald, Chris bitterly informs Jake that his stint as the Love Lady has ruined his entire life. Vicky urges her sister to open up about her feelings for Jake. Pressured to talk of the rape and its aftermath, Marley admits she left Bay City because she couldn't deal with what had happened to her. Matt promises Lila that they will have a long and happy life together with Jasmine. A weeping Vicky tells Marley she wants her sister back in her life. Jake decides to offer a large reward for information on the missing Cory baby. Lila returns to the Lumina Foundation to search for her daughter.

After Donna attempts to signal Vicky by squeezing her hand. Marley hisses at her mother to keep mum. Rachel asks the Sinclair brothers to investigate the disappearance of her newborn granddaughter. Later Cameron quietly repeats for Josie what Amanda said about never wanting to get involved with a man who had a child by another woman. At the hospital Matt confides to Sofia how he will never forgive himself if his little girl isn't found. Meanwhile Lila tearfully tells Cass she believes God is punishing her for all the terrible stunts she's pulled. Rachel arrives and coaxes Lila to eat enough to keep up her strength for the tough times ahead.

Cindy's ploy tails when Joe commandeers the public address system to announce that nobody will be allowed to leave the root- top party. Rachel and Sofia try to console Matt, who blames himself for his infant daughter's disappearance. Meanwhile, Cass attempts to calm a hysterical Lila but she refuses to allow the paramedics to take her to the hospital until her baby is safely restored to her arms. Determined to fill in the puzzling gaps in his short-term memory, Tyrone returns to Marley's house to question her and Donna. Gary and Cameron both object when Josie volunteers to climb down the elevator shaft to search for the missing newborn. Racing to the sound console to retrieve her evidence, Cindy is alarmed to discover that the tape of Grant's confession has vanished.

Following an eye-opening chat with Kirkland, Grant heads to the Lumina ball and corners Cindy. Sofia admits to Zach she wishes Lila would magically disappear so she and Matt can raise the baby in peace. outraged to learn that Jordan Stark's security forces delayed the EMT's, Rachel decides to find her reclusive host and give him a piece of her mind. Down in the stalled elevator car, Matt warns Cass that Lila is fading fast. Determined to save the woman he loves, Cass begins climbing up the elevator cable hand over hand. Meanwhile, Paulina struggles to keep a hysterical Felicia out of the rescuers way. Back in the secret control room, Zach anxiously entreats his boss not to let Lila die.

Amanda again corners Josie in the ladies room and demands to know what's going on between her and Cameron. Sofia tearfully confides to Zach her fear that the baby's imminent arrival means she'll never have Matt all to herself ever again. Lying on the roof of the elevator, Cass shouts encouragement through the loose ceiling tile as Matt coaches a terrified Lila through her labor pains. After the child is finally delivered, a jubilant Lila and Matt admire their brand new daughter. Meanwhile, "Jordan" watches the proceedings with interest via his complex network of hidden cameras. Desperate to dodge her inquisitor's questions, Josie concocts another lie and tells Amanda that Gary may have suffered permanent damage during the cave-in.

Marley swears to Vicky and a skeptical Jake that she has no idea how Donna vanished or why she reappeared at the house like nothing had ever happened. As the meteor showers begin, most of the starry-eyed guests ooh and aah in appreciation but Remy shakily confides to Nick she's certain something terrible is about to transpire. Meanwhile, inside the stalled elevator, Matt tries to calm a panicked Lila by helping her breathe through her contractions. Tyrone is frustrated to discover that he suddenly has no memory of picking Donna up or bringing her to the party. Later, Tyrone unmasks "Marnie" and realizes that she is actually Vicky's sister. After Matt is knocked unconscious while trying to pry off a ceiling tile, Lila fears she's going to have to face labor utterly alone.

At the Lumina Ball, Felicia swears to Vicky and the others that she has no idea how Donna could have vanished. Although thrilled with her new costume and the stretch limo which has appeared at the Cory's door, Lila again recalls her promise to Matt and regretfully asks the chauffeur to go on without her. A worried Tyrone explains to Margaret why the ailing woman he brought to the party could not have gone far on her own. Meanwhile, Vicky demands that Marley tell her why their mother was left alone to fend for herself. Though Margaret firmly insists that Tyrone arrived alone, the baffled attorney swears to the Mcinnons he came in with Donna. Paulina introduces Remy to Rachel.

Miffed at being excluded from the grandest social event of the year, Lila decides to be her own fairy godmother and throw together an outfit sure to catch the eye of her Prince Charming. As the luminaries of Bay City arrive for the Lumina Ball, they're dazzled by each other's costumes and the extravagant lenghs their host has gone to in order to make the night one to remember. When Marley feigns anxiety about leaving their mother behind for the night, Vicky assures her sister that Donna will be fine with her nurse. Meanwhile, Donna struggles to make Tyrone understand that she needs to get to the masquerade ball. Cass and Felicia get nowhere trying to reveal the identity of their mysterious employer.

While Matt and Sofia celebrate the fact that the baby is no longer in breach position, Lila consults with Zach about using the power of positive thinking to attain another one of her goals. As she helps Marley prepare for the masked ball, Cindy describes how she plans to play the tape of Grant's confession over the P.A. system at the height of the gala affair. Tyrone tells Jake how his pal "Marnie Stone" helped Donna check out of the hospital. Afterwards, Jake warns an astonished Vicky that her once saintly sister has crossed the line and become extremely dangerous. Zach instructs Lila to focus all her energy on her wish to wed Matt. Marley asks Cindy to help distract Vicky so she can move in on Jake during the ball.

A starry-eyed Amanda decides to invite Cameron to the Celestial Masquerade ball. Meanwhile, Cameron warns Josie that they'll have to move fast to retrieve his letter from Rachel's briefcase before anyone reads the truth about the baby. Lila tries to make peace with Cass but he bitterly rejects her olive branch. Matt's constant anxiety over Lila's condition grates on Sofia, who reminds her partner that "C Squared" is suffering from his inattention. While Cameron keeps Rachel busy in the outer office at Cory Publishing, Josie sneaks into the CEO's inner sanctum to search for the letter. Though Lila explains why she had to turn down his marriage proposal, a still furious Cass insists he never wants to see her again.

Josie tells Cameron she's had a change of heart and has decided to let Gary believe that he is the father of her child. Grant informs a devastated Cindy that he's bound for Santa Domingo to obtain a quickie divorce. Jake can't shake the feeling that Donna won't be safe as long as she remains in Marley's care. Meanwhile, Marley reminds her frightened mother of the dire consequences which will befall her if she doesn't cooperate fully. Anxious to prevent Amanda from learning the truth, Cameron races to the Cory mansion to retrieve the note he left under the door. All over Ray City, residents make plans to attend a swanky masquerade ball being hosted by the head of the mysterious Lumina Foundation.

Stunned when Cass suddenly pops the question, Lila asks the attorney if he's playing some kind of a sick joke. Meanwhile, Zach's mysterious partner in crime warns him not to let Cass interfere with their plans for Lila. Gary unwittingly adds to Josie's burden of guilt with his hopeful talk about the future and a possible new addition to their happy little family. Cass fervently declares his love to Lila, then presses her for an immediate answer to his proposal. Amanda urges Cameron to make love to her. Although eager to consummate their relationship, Cameron reminds a disappointed Amanda that they need more time to deal with what happened in Boca Linda before they jump into bed together.
