Fished the beach most of the week using frozen mullet I had netted last fall. Caught little blues all week long. On some days I did not go 15 minutes with out a hit, went through a lot of mullet but had a lot of fun. None of the blues were over 16 or 17 inches, looks good for the future. Fished the inlet occasionally just before and after the tide change. Unfortunately most of the time I hit it at low tide, I prefer the high tide change. First time out I was lucky enough to get 4 stripers in the 18 to 29 inch range on bucktails. Watched a couple (I assume husband & wife) fishing from a boat under the bridge using live spot. On every single drift the wife hooked a striper, husband could not fish because he was constantly netting and measuring her fish. She must of had at least 10 in a row while I watched. I don't know how many she had before I got there. After that day I only had one more undersized fish. I did hook into 2 stingrays (I wish I hadn't) they were everywhere in the inlet. All in all, not a bad week.
