Looks like the heat(as usual) is putting off the fishing. Tue I had 12 nice rock in the Susky, Wed skunked, and yesterday only 1 keeper in areas we were catching 30+ rock on some days well before sunrise. Even this morning a friend was skunked in a productive location on the river.

Things could turn around this weekend(and next week) as temps moderate, but it looks like the summer patterns will be in full swing.

How was the night fishing in DE bay or IR? Looks like I'll be looking for trout on structure again as I have not heard 1 good flounder report anywhere.

Fished under the lights 2 nights last week at a usually excellent location in the Canal. Had live Spot, Mullet, and little bitty croakers. The rockfish were rolling and popping everywhere...used every plug I had and even diving plugs as well as the live bait...no trout, no rockfish, and one stinkin' little flounder. Summer is here whether we like it or not...time to get offshore to catch fish.

BH, Duckman, thanks for the report. Looks like things are tough all over. Any sign of those Jersey headboats off big stone still?
