Has anyone seen this new "fish hook themselves" contraption being advertised on TV lately? Well kiss my grits if that ain't something! Man, these marketers are reaching now. Why don't we rig it up to a pistol while were at it and shoot the fish too! It works on the same principle as a spring snare.

CJ, Got a halfdozen ordered. Been slow here. The perch just have not arrived on the Choptank. Last year it was heavy rains and it stimulated the run. Maybe after this rain.Saw some nice size croaker last week at the livestock sale. Local waterman bought a crate that was netted down CBBT.Ran into Teachers buddy from C dock yesterday at a job site. Father and son that came late at Teacher's party. He was down this past week and retuned back home. All is well with him an anxious for his reports. When Teacher speaks ,it means the fish have officially & finally arrived.

Phil, this isn't Teacher speaking but I can tell you that some fish are here! The water is still very cold and causing them to be slothful which really is not conducive to hook and line fishing. The better Delaware Bay Netters are picking up pretty good quantities of Shad, Stripers, and the bunker have just showed up also. Trout and blues shouldn't be far behind the bunker. More cold wind, rain, and high water is coming, so I wouldn't get to excited yet. It shouldn't be too much longer now, until it's worth going fishing. Did I ever tell you that I enjoy catching fish a hell of alot more than I do fishing for them. I live for the bite!

JAY, That thing looks like it's designed to stick in the fishes' head moreso than to hook it in the mouth! They should attach a warning flag to it also. I wonder how many idiots got that slammer hook jammed into their hand. They would make great gifts to people you don't like. :)
