I was at a local tackle shop here in the Philly burbs and they had squidheads for sale. Called them "striper candy" if I recall correctly. Anyone fish with these things? If so...do they work? or...is it just a way of selling something that would normally go into the trash? I have never seen them sold in DE. |

The head boats use them for sea bass. |

They sell them in DE but they generally come attached to the rest of the squid. I've always thrown them out during the cleaning process but who knows, maybe they are striper candy. |

all i know is two weeks ago at 3 r's a guy next to me had one of those boxes of prepackaged squid that comes with the little ones in it. all dark and red too. he was not even skinning out the squid, just cutting the thing into chunks and he caught 3 fish to my zippo. go figure. i had real white squid and peelers. |

Hey Allen, Are they catching any Kingfish on Assateague? I'll be down next week with my grandaughter and looking for a place to catch some. Croakers would fit the bill too. George |
