well the mrs and i went to almost iri today. sorry i missed the rock fest guys but couldn't drag my arse outta bed in time this morning. set up just in front of the old coast guard station by 10 am. got 1 skate
9 little sharks
1 croaker
1 flounder, about 12 inches
5 kingfish, couple nice size ones, but kept none.
all in all a beautiful day on the beach.
guy next to me was getting kings and croakers too.
he had bloods but i got them on squid and cut bait. barry |

Caught kingfish, croaker, small sharks from the surf on bloods and squid from 3Rs.
The guy next to me caught a weakie on a bloodworm. It seems there's a little bit of everything in the surf lately.

Yep.I keep hearing about how bad the season was but Im quite pleased with the way fishing has been.
IRI Saturday Morning - 4 Stripers up to 24 inches on Wild Eyes
Surf Saturday Afternoon - Croaker (BIG ONES) and nice Kingfish on Bloods, Squid, Spot. My buddy Steve fished north of IRI saturday and had tons of Kings (kept 15) one Trout 13 1/12 inches, and Grunts. All on Bloods or Peeler. Seems 3R's-north has been more productive lately.
