In the classic Balmurr accent, that wooter's bein cold hon But... I do believe this cold water is responsible for some giants being caught at the OC Inlet Got a report of some big ole rockfish being caught on free swimming eels (no weight) Took 5 eels home from work and hit the inlet with my baitrunner reel letting an eel swim while I cast a storm lure Had 1 hit but no hookup, just a bite mark halfway up the eel Saw a 36" and a 38" caught... the 36" was covered with sores, opened and closed... told the guy he was nuts for keeping it and he just laughed and told me "expletive off" The other guys were nice... they ran over to the Oceanic Pier to get a dozen eels and I showed them how to rig them up... they were very grateful Nice people, rude people, a beautiful night... and 1 hit Good fishin' |

At least you tried to warn him. Now, he can pay the price for being a ignoramus. Some of the watermen in MD have had neurogical problems after handling fish like that. The disease the fish are carrying can cause short term memory loss and some numbness problems if I remember right. Geez, it sounds like the same effects of too much beer |
